I replaced the jrl still blade with an andis gtx still blade, kept the original jrl cutting blade. They zero gapped perfectly, didn’t have to adjust the metal bar track at all. They hit like a razor without any irritation. I’ve used them on kids and adults, no issues.
IMHO if people are spending that much for a trimmer they shouldn’t have to be modded or altered like that to run well. Seems like this is an industry standard now
Would you possibly be able to do a video walkthrough of how to do this? I am such a visual person I'm a little scared to do it without seeing it done properly 😅 I would really appreciate it!
So I’m new to the game and have watched almost all your videos 👍🏾 I recently got the JRL set and your tip really did help for sure with the trimmers thanks for making and sharing this video💯.
@@s.craftblendz coming back to say this definitely worked. Had to play with it a bit bc at first it had them biting on one side. But once I got them set right, they HIT. Definitely my go-to at the moment
Not gonna lie, I gave up on these trimmers fairly quickly beyond touching up around sensitive kid skin and they were on their way to the graveyard before this video, now they're hitting with the like evo's on steroids. Thanks for making 110 bones worth the cheddar
I’m also pretty sure you can but the andis gtx blade on it. Which would mean you could possibly slap on the new gtx gold blade 👀 you can also put on the cutter blade as well… so if you’re a gtx head and love that blade combo that’s also an option for you
JRL is way better, in my opinion. And I was a Wahl guy for years. Now, almost a year with the 2020c and love them. The trimmer is trash, BUT I'm going to try this and see if they can hit like the one in the video
You and @Da Fit Barber are the reason why I want to be a in shape barber. Idk if you workout, but it looks like you’re in shape and you cats can cut better than a butcher. You guys are two of my inspirations
I bought the trimmer about 6 or 7 months ago, and the metal bar broke on the original blade. I contacted the company and explained to them, and they got back to me a week later saying the warranty is for everything else except the blades because you normally have to replace them often. Also told me to send some pictures of the broken blades. I did and never got any answers. So, I purchased a brand new blade, put it on, and wasn't cutting good. I zero gap the blades, and they get really hot in 3 minutes 🤷. The first blades didn't get hot that quickly.
Yo Sean I’m really feeling the quality of this video. Thanks for sharing it with us. We need more tutorials with this quality close up man!! Need you out here OG 😫😫😫 #helpus
@@s.craftblendz I just bought these (After watching your video). But it appears I got the 'older' model? Because I tried modifying these but the back looks a bit different. Could you PLEASE provide another Video that shows how to modify the older models??? Thanks Bro !! James 4:2 :-)
I'm not sure if I did something wrong....but the only piece I'm able to slide up is the plastic guide....and even if I loosened the 2 screws the metal bar, the bar will not slide up because the 2 screws hold it in the same position...there's no play on the the bar
I felt like it was the same for me but it worked. maybe loosen the screws enough that when you push it forward the loop part of the wire is under the screws then tighten it. let me know
If they hit as good as the Babyliss or close enough I say get these. They’re a lot quieter than babyliss and it doesn’t feel as aggressive in the hand. That’s what I think he means by cutting smooth
@@dc_crush yes my babyliss trimmers are as quiet as a corded andis t outliner just a tad bit louder u got to oil the blade slide on both sides of the trimmer and put some lithium grease on the cam follower from time to time I just man a video on it if u want to check it out. Subscribe if u want to d.c

That sounds dope! I’ll have to try that out as well. Thank you 🙏🏻
I second this, the gtx bottom blade with the black ceramic jrl trimmer blade is a brilliant combo, definetly a hitter!
I’ve been using it for over a week after doin this trick. Ames me not want to use any other trimmer. So good.
My guys is full of Jewels Not only in the barber game but in life as well grate role model for our culture 🏆💯
Thank you brotha!
Dangit! I purchased these and sent them back because they weren’t hitting! Now I might try it again, LOL. Thanks SCB!
🤣 no problem my brotha!
Thanks for the shoutout. God bless 🙏☝️and keep slicing them buttery lines!
No problem bro! Thanks for the hack!
I just tried this! I have the older version because I pre-ordered them before they came out but this trick works amazingly 👏 thank you S.Craft! 😊
I just did this Hack and I wanna thank u. WOW what a difference these things HIT like lasers 💯🔥💨

I agree and so does Jrl. They actually are going to show their engineers my video to come up with a way to better serve us. Good people 💪
I put the Andis GTX blade on there and it did some biblical lining!
Nice!!
Haha
Both the gtx blade and the moving blade.. or did you keep the jrl moving blade?
worked perfectly, u are my hero, thx. greetings from austria👌
Awesome!
Looks great. I will try this. I don’t know why JRL doesn’t have an option to purchase it zero gaped so nobody has to go through this
Facts!
thank for sharing your knowledge
Will this work on the JRL ghost edition. Mine dont hit after zero gap unfortunately
That’s a great question. I’m not sure however once you can order the metal blades, that changes everything
Thanks bro watched video now I got some hitters
Dope! Shoutout to Eliezer! 🔥🔥🔥

It worked bro thanks ❤️❤️👍🏽

Why aren't you using the methood where the screw tool comes with?

I have the first version without the metal bar. Is there a difference on how to adjust them?
Yes. I just bent down on the bar to give it more tension. It seemed to work. I’ll try and do a video soon
what's the difference between gold plated and the regular stock that come with trimmer??
Would the gold fx blade fit this trimmer
Can gama blade be used on jrl trimmers?
I’m not sure. Maybe if you get a modification kit.
Hey man you can help me please?
I broke my clipers of JRL detailer and i want news but i didint find in Cyprus

you have to buy a mod for doing that cause here in spain there is no place to buy mods
@@AndresPerez-bm4rp no you don’t it fits right on
Man I’ve been at it for a minute and still can’t make them hit. Any suggestions?
JRL or wahl senior which is better?

thank you bro!
Try getting the Andis GTX blade. Zero gap them as you would normally. And put them on the JRL trimmer. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
with no mod just pop them on ?
Yes sir. Mine hit.
Both the gtx blade and the moving blade.. or did you keep the jrl moving blade?
I'm new here. What is hit?
S craft I think the babyliss blades will hit on the jrl trimmers, try that and see. God bless you much
I'll check it out thanks!
Got the gtx blade on mine atm but i might swap back to the original and try this 🔥
Dope!!
have you try zero gap with plastic blade cover
Yes sir. Works pretty good 💪

I tried this and mine still didn’t hit am I doing it wrong ? Can someone help me please 🙏🏽😭
Damn might have to cop them instead of the babyliss haha
mines wont open the screws are tight asf
Same, did you find a solution?
