  • This method will save you a lot time and trouble.
    I forgot to mention that you want to remove the standard master link and use the 415 half link as your new master link.
    When installing the half link, you want to use the chain break and retract the pin on the chain break a bit and use that to push the pin on the 415 half link as you tighten on the break.
    REMINDER: The looped end of the cotter pin should always face the direction of forward travel in the chain.

    Very good advice, That is exactly the proper way to do it. I've done it the very same way for years. Great video!

    Thanks for the information and I have been one of those guys who are getting frustrated with the Chinese stock chain tensioner that comes with the kits...total junk and dangerous looking. I’m new at this cool hobby of motorized bikes.

    How long you been Useing that frame,someone told me they crack easy. I also noticed to have the rubber between your front mount and motor, how is that working for you does it seem like it's less vibration?

    • @BicycleMotorsports
      @BicycleMotorsports  6 років тому

      michael reyes, I have had the frame for almost a year. And yes you are correct. The pedestal mount can and does have the potential for shearing right off under the high amount of torque and vibration. It happened with a guy I sometimes ride around with who has the same frame. When I bought my gasbike frame, I instinctively purchased the rubber cushion to lessen the vibration that I felt and also as precaution to help prevent the pedestal mount from breaking off. I recommend to everyone who has these frames to purchase and use the rubber cushion.

      I would suggest removing g the half link and if possible, pull your rear wheel back in the dropouts and tighten.
