@@DecrepitGaming I'd be happy with a mini coming out like that. I REALLY have to get back to mini painting. I'm going to try your white undercoat technique, as I'm having problems with the black undercoat/grey dry brush/white highlight technique. Not getting the right look with the undercoat before the Speed Paints compared to videos I'm following. I've got Agrax Earthshade, will see if I can replicate your technique shown here. 😃😃😃😃
Easy enough to do, Speedpaints and Contrast Paints work best over a white undercoat. If you do use a dark wash first make sure to thin it down with water at least 50/50. We don't want to cover too much white.
Again, love this video. Interesting to see an even faster technique than slap-chop, with a diluted black wash instead of black priming, grey drybrusjing, and then lightly drybrushing white for the preshading.
In all honesty I'm not convinced that the pre-shade is required with speedpaints. I do like to experiment though, it's normally ow I learn. Thank you for continuing to watch my efforts :)
Thank you for the kind comment. I am happy with how he turned out, I wasn’t sure at the start as I thought there may be too much purple and gold but he looks fine in the end.
BAM! Brilliant! REALLY great job on the Dwarf Hero, he really popped in the finished view, love it!
👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
I was happy with how he turned out. Now for the elf or maybe the wizard, we shall see. Thank you for continuing to watch :)

For the rim of the Base of my characters I've painted them red compared to the black of the monsters to make it even easier to differentiate them
Yep makes sense to have them different colours
Thank you for the new approach.
It doesn’t hurt to try new things. Keep it simple will always be my motto though.
