My husband told me he loved me for the first time 20 years ago during the fireworks on the 4th of July with this song playing in my truck, and in these 20 years of marriage we're friends with David and our son has grown up with his incredible music and friendship and mentorship, what a phabulous ride.

Lyle, you are so, so right. We love the music, but the message makes me think about how much the Savior loves me. Thank you so much for doing these weekly songs it starts my week off also.
He sang this song at this year's Barn Bash. It was the first time I had heard him sing it in person (I was late to discovering David, 2004). It was incredible, of course.
This album is the one with "No More Night" as well. Its the album that really took his solo artistry into place. The one solo project before this was his Journey to Grace album, which is also great but less well known. His early stuff is bonkers awesome (and yes, with the Gaither's as well). Great reaction, mate.

@@islasoliveira_ Absolutely! David used a much heavier voice during that time and then lightened it up with Revelation. Always enjoyed his heavier tones.. Best male vocalist on the planet.
Starting to find and listen to David's early music they are fantastic we need to get them out there to others and let them know how talented this man is and enjoy his music. Lyle you are right a weekly dose of David is not enough it has to be daily and often. You've been PHELPSED ❤️🤗😍

Lyle, please make a huge David Phelps phan a favor and react to "These Are They". It's an earlier song with the Gaithers, but David's voice is so beautiful. I know you would love it.
