David is an undeniable powerhouse, but there is nothing comparable to hearing and seeing David Phelps live. His very presence adds to the awe of his voice. It's an experience.

Great! I think you would enjoy his " never walk alone" his sister joins him. She passed away very shortly after this performance, and it is live!

That run up the keyboard after the video turns to black and white is when Hunter takes over the keys.

This song is so emotional, I cry every time I hear it. I can relate to the dying persons disapointment. i am anxious for the day return home to my father.

I was just thinking that if this song doesn't make you cry, nothing will.

@@theblindleadstheblind I was originally going to comment on your humor, because you kinda remind me of the few times I have heard David's. Always thought they're similar lol.

David's piano player Hunter Spivey can be seen behind David around minute 10:00 in your video. Plus it sounds like Hunter

You should listen to some of the Gaither recordings showcasing David. I love harmonies and he does much of the arranging. Apparently there’s nothing that he doesn’t do spectacularly!

Have you heard of the Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjebø? She is the national treasure of Norway and has a unbelievable voice. She is also considered one of the world's top crossover sopranos. If you have seen the 1997 movie Titanic, then you have heard her voice as she performed the background vocals. Could you try react to Sissel performing "My Tribute" by Andrae Crouch? ( ua-cam.com/video/1wLX_49glC8/v-deo.html )

I don't know how much you listen to Gospel music, but I do know you've done a few songs of David Phelps (sings mostly Gospel). He is a fantastic singer, and, since like many people, I enjoy hearing him reach those beautiful high notes, I'd like to suggest "Heaven's Shore". It was done at The Barn where he holds his Labor Day and Christmas Barn Bash concerts. The song was written in memory of his sweet sister, Sheri, who died from cancer, and although there are a few solemn verses, he does reach those higher registers several times. I think you would enjoy it. Thanks for your reactions!

You might find it interesting to note the title of the album is Stories and Songs. He performed this as a Live Stream during COVID and after popular demand actually released the album. His Phans often ask, what were you thinking, why did you record this one or when did you record this and why? Stories and Songs Volume I is his response to our unending questions on a few of the songs. We're still praying for a Stories and Songs Volume II. One of the many things that's interesting about David and makes his performances so incredibly meaningful, is he often writes, arranges and performs his original songs in response to his own life. I believe this is one reason, besides he's a consummate professional, you sense he is PRESENT in the song and living the song as he sings it. I agree with previous commenters, as wonderful as his recordings are, there is nothing like seeing him live (especially at the Barn) because he so connects with and feeds off his audience as they do with him. Put it on your bucket list . . . a trip to Culeoka! Thank you for your insight into his talent! Blessings

David had COVID 2 weeks before the LDBB this year, sounded amazing anyway, sang his big money songs Saturday night, it was a phabulous weekend in the Barn.

I’m so glad you’ve been introduced to David Phelps. I’ve been a big fan for about 5 years. Oh Holy Night has always been my favorite song of all time. Right before Christmas my son got on UA-cam and played his song Oh Holy Night. I was blown away to say the least. I’ve listened to many of his songs through the years. He has such passion for God and that sets him apart from other singers. He believes what he sings. I really like your reactions to my favorite singer . I would love to see you react to David Phelps song Just as I Am and also No More Night. Both are absolutely amazing! In my opinion, he is the greatest singer in the world! Thanks so much for your reactions. I’m a fan.

David Phelps has been a favorite of mine for many years. I first saw him perform live in the backwoods of Alabama with less than 50 people present (what an experience)! He is much better known and appreciated now and I am so glad that more people are listening to this talented performer. I would like to encourage you to listen to his song, "Song for Sinners". As a musician, I think you would really appreciate it! Thanks for reacting to David Phelps songs!
