I can tell you how it's like. To perform in front of all of those people in places. Scary. That is why muscle memory and to disassociate from the audience is a must. They must go into practice memory and muscle retention. And the sessions where projecting to the audience is capitalized. And yes legs may shake etc. But the performer is so trained it's like you're in a different world but the focus of that world right then and there. Imagine having to lead a group in front of 40-50k people and the cameras. And a camera that comes up close to you. Same principle different visual arts.

She was a homly little girl, but what a incredibly lucky one. Two parents that molded their life around their daughters wishes and made her dream come true no matter what the costs.. I couldn't even take piano, no body wanted to drive e me wait a half hour and bring me home. Lol. True . Just can't phantom the idea of being the center of your parents world, moving all over just for you and having everything you need at your side. What a commitment to a child and Tara on her commitment to figure skating.

@Aspen Robinson Tara is pretty... and fortunate to have parents who had the means to help her. I also wanted piano lessons. There was a piano teacher who gave lessons in a room at the high school that I attended. I had one piano lesson, and when my mother picked me up from school, I told her about my piano lesson. She told me that I wasn’t going to get a piano, or take piano lessons. She wanted all of her children to just do homework and get scholarships to college
She's a spoiled brat. Did not treat Michelle nice at all.
She was winning in 1997 ...this was really not that surprising she had been progressing to this moment she was the one to beat..she deserves it her routine was harder and she ardisty had greatly improved...i was really mad that Michelle lost but tara was the better skater that competition and that night i can watch it now and feel her joy..with her...her and michelle will be my favorite skaters in history..m

Tara is the reason I started watching figure skating 20 years ago and fell in love with it. She's still one of my idols. I Love, love, love her and I'm happy that I was able to put up a lot of my old VHS skating recordings onto UA-cam for people to see.
