"OMG!!! Somebody has a political opinion that I don't agree with. They need to be FIRED" That is the thinking of a narcissist.
Literally what happened with Thy Art Is Murder lmao
That is the thinking of a conservative*
That’s exactly what happened to Phil from All that remains…..Because he refused to take the Fauci juice during Covid.
This is the kind of woke fascism that so prevalent these days
@@the11theleven Because it's conservatives that sit around and wage mass email campaigns to corporations and conservative "journalist" that sit around and rage farm buzzwords...
A lot of respect for people who, in spite of different world views or opinions, value friendship over everything else.
True. Same thoughts I have.
It’s a sign of maturity.
It’s hard to be friends with anyone who doesn’t respect who you are as a person.
I’m retired military but I’m also pretty left leaning. I have differing political opinions from many of the people that I love the most.
@@natashanyxx9486 are you a liberal?
Why is this news? It is amazing that in 2024 we still can't get over our fragile egos and have a difference of opinion. Metal and rock are definitely not what they use to be.
Exactly this
Because it's a highly polarizing topic especially in Canada where you can go to jail for misgendering someone.
@@wafflesarelove lol, Canada is ridiculous
It’s 2024, tolerating difference of opinion is the worst it’s been since the communist witch hunts of the 50s

If Adam had only stuck to his guns instead of saying "Oops it was kind of an accident." Never bow to these people, it gets you nowhere.
how do you know that it's not a genuine mistake though?
i know the wording sounds dramatic but it literally is social terrorism. people are constantly afraid to have a genuine opinion or even misword a mild opinion out of fear of insurmountable backlash. so we just get a non stop streat of lukewarm opinions without conviction and as soon as enough people deem it hateful (because it doesnt oblige their specific rules they've decided on) you have no option but to delete it or risk losing your career and public image
@@TRDarnell You don't have to lose your career or public image though, it only happens because we allow those aforementioned things to occur, they have no power. We give it to them.
The “fire someone because they don’t agree with me” thing is some hardcore liberal energy.

With Tim Pool lol
Nor Tim Pool.
This is just another example of the Architects fanbase either holding them in high regard on a pedestal for doing something fans like, or completely shitting on them, sending death threats, etc. because they did something they don't like. It's fascinating really.
Music 'fans' in a nutshell.
As mumford and sons discovered firing a band member because they have a differing opinion on you regarding one thing is a stupid idea.
I think the guy left of his own accord to protect the band
Maybe, though they put out a rather cowardly response about that, despite him protecting their finances. @@thisguy103
Is Mumford & Sons even still that active. I think that guy leaving was the last real news I've heard from em
Do people not realize that not everyone has to believe in and like the same things that they do? 🥴
Not anymore that kind of nuance is gone now
Can you imagine a world…

Never expected to see Tim Pool in a Rock Feed post lol. Always knew architects was a openly lefty band. Doesn't bother me as more of a conservative/libertarian. I listen to Tim daily, and Phil is an idol to me.
Let’s gooo🍻👊🏻👊🏻
They are left wing not liberals ffs.
I think you're conflating "liberal" with "far left".
Guys, whatever on the coloquial vs. literal use of the word liberal. You know what he means lol.
lol hell yeah. 🤘
Let's assume it wasn't an accident and that he really agrees with what Sean Steickland says, what's the problem? Why can't an artist have his own opinion? He is a person like any other! This world has become a bit paranoid about wanting to cancel anyone who thinks differently! I value those people who in the face of adversity and criticism maintain their conviction and ideals.
Absolutely. I’m not sure if I buy the "reposted accidentally" narrative… either way who cares
People need to get lives There are far more important things going on in their lives and the world than a rock band member's social media feed

@@Blackhoodie85 he's not on twitter begging to get people fired. Big difference there, buddy.
Strickland is 100% correct.
Sean Strickland isn't crazy or unhinged. Regardless of what he believes, he went heel on a Canadian leader for a PPV in Canada to sell more tickets/PPV buys. It's smart business.
Dumping pollutants in a river is smart business too. Saves money on proper disposal methods.
Staying in Kayfabe
imagine getting in trouble for having an opinion and then getting called a fascist for not thinking the way they do
Theres childish individuals on both sides, but it seems like only ONE side as a whole cant comprehend the idea of people thinking differently than them... even tho they claim to be the tolerant and accepting side.
Every single time
One side cares too much about how people talk, the other side denies science, storms the Capitol, and denies losing elections..
The same side which condones the actions of a group which screams about being antifascist while wearing black masks and bearing baseball bats to intimidate those who don't agree with them...
Some kind of mix of Orwellian (doublethink), and Freudian (accusing other people of what your intentions are).
Denies science? Fauci literally just admitted the social distancing thing was based off of nothing 😂@noahh2338
Sean Strickland told no lies
People that view the “other side” as demons are exactly what we would describe as the pot calling the kettle black.
agreed we should have woke stuff and not have people demonize that side, and vice versa.
As soon as the term "woke" stops being used as a slur, then we can talk. As soon as one side stops being a bully about every issue, and then voting to make those views into law, then we can talk. As soon as one side stops voting those laws into place that endanger human lives, then we won't have to view the other side as demons who try to endanger other human beings.
Metal calling the metal black.
I love how heavy you lay on Sean for being crazy. He’s another guy who just says what he feels a bit bluntly…I don’t care how the times changed or how thin skinned people have become, none of this shit really mattered a few decades and less ago. But respect to your points regardless, love the channel and what you have done for it man. Keep it metal 🤘
Yeah you know Strickland whining about weakness and freedom and what not just because he's offended that some unrelated reporter apparently voted for the wrong guy or doesn't despise gay people enough doesn't exactly come off as chill either.
Despite where you fall on politics, it is absolutely asinine to think anyone would believe you "accidentally" reposted something. If you're going to repost, stand ten toes down and accept whatever the consequences will be, good or bad. Don't pretend to be someone you're not. Whether you're a stand-up person or a sh*t person, just be who you are. No one likes a snake in the grass.

And those of you wanting him fired are foolish as fuck.
"Cancel Culture" derives from the Soviet Union, where Communism reigned in the worst human rights violations
pretty much ever conducted on planet earth. over 50 Million of my people were offed in the most cruel and inhumane ways in Gulag prison labor camps
across 11 time zones in -40F weather working until you dropped dead. It's here during the 1930s in the USSR where Stalin encouraged the entire population
to spy and tell on each other, nobody was safe. He even enforced and encouraged children to spy on their own parents behind closed doors.
Once notified the state would send you to the Gulag to die and then your kids would be raised by a state run orphanage.
Children were even born in the Gulag and forced to work. Perm 36 the last remaining gulag is now a museum you can visit and witness.
We were pretty much left out of the history books of what happened to us.
I still have family from the far East i've never met because of Communism.
It's a slippery slope my friends.
My issue isn't whether people have different opinions on things or not, what bugs me is when people openly state their opinion on something and then immediately backtracks at the tiniest hint of backlash. "Oops! I didn't mean to say that!" I'd have much more respect for people (whether I agree with them or not) if they stood by their comments and said "Yes, this is what I think. So what?". If we're constantly gonna have to censor ourselves in order to protect people's feelings then it won't be very long until we're all unable to say anything at all. Is that truly a world you'd want to live in?
Imagine shilling for the establishment and still thinking you're part of the rebellion. Sean strickland is a breath of fresh air.
Sorry, who exactly is shilling for the establishment?

There are so many artists who make amazing music, but I‘d never take advice from when it comes to anything outside of their field.
I also know plenty of just great people who I very much respect and learn from, but their art is just average.

Right now everything is about politics because it is at the core of all the issues we are seeing. That said, you have my respect for reporting the story and nothing else. If you haven’t listened to the entire exchange, I’d suggest checking it out because it gets a lot deeper and the core of the issue is what created the Trudeau that deserves to be derided and shunned. crazy how that flipped
Good video came here because you mentioned Sean Strickland & Tim Pool. Will definitely check out Architects now. Side note Strickland and Du Plessi have actually squashed their beef and are cool. Both promised to fight to the death for the fans. If that’s not Metal what is?
Apparently I’m in the minority, but I couldn’t care less about musician life or political views. I just enjoy the music.🤷🏻♂️
That is how it should be but when a musician constantly puts there nose in shit it’s annoying. Especially when you get them preaching about BS and putting down others.
That's what I try to do too. As long as they don't go out of their way to be horrible about it, they are free to think whatever in any case. I can also choose to not listen to their music if it annoys me lol.
Yeah but when a musician constantly puts their personal business out there, or their views and opinions out there they can not feel some way if people start talking about it and voicing their own opinions. Especially if their preaching, don't expect people not to feel some type of way.

The well known ‘tolerant left’
I think there is a perception that all band members are “friends” and “brothers” and while that may be true sometimes, I would argue how many band makeups are more like co-workers. How many worksites and co-workers have shared space, time and tasks but very different divergent views from each other.
Having said that i often these days think of the saying from when i was growing up that my parents said (never talk about money, politics or religion and mostly everyone gets along just fine).
