If I had a small round file it would have worked as well . really just scuffing up the chrome finish on the "tabs" so not at slick as well as create a small indent to better engage the hooks
I'd love to see more of the construction of those panels in the trunk. I have a similar project I need to do with mine. Source for the carpet etc... It looks really nice well done!
Thank you, The carpet is from an automotive/boating trim supply store. for example in the US visit yourautotrim.com . as you see they sell a NON loop carpet by the yard in many colours. Up here in Ontario we have a few suppliers BUT when in doubt find someone who does boat and auto interiors as they can order it for you. As far as the panels only the subwoofer is specialized and you can watch how I built it in my video ua-cam.com/video/lQvRvwSHpvY/v-deo.html . the bottom panel is simply cut to fit above the tank and wrapped with carpet. Sub/EQ panel same thing except wrapped this vinyl. Of course colour is personal but I tried to copy two tone interior with dark blue carpet and light blue amp panel.
