Flannel does what is called "pilling" and can be corrected by a simple Sweater Stone, or a Sweater Shaver, or a Sweater Comb, or like devices. Yay, using my knitting skills in quilting!
I was looking for info on binding as well. 😔 Have not thought of using old receiving blankets, but most seem to be knit jersey now days anyway. Good info, tho, thanks!
