Welcome to Liliac they are phenomenal family band they started playing weekends at the Santa Monica pier for years that is where they learned to play to crowds. Melody is a big fan of Ronnie James Dio to the point that she was invited to play with Vinny Appici former drummer of Dio who nicknamed her Melodio. Plus Wendy Dio invited them to play a cancer benefit on July 10. They are so much more than a cover band they have released 2 albums with new music Chain of Thorns and Queen of Hearts.

Liliac is Romanian for "bat". These are five siblings, aged I think from 13 to 22. Be assured, they are all playing. Justin is a great keyboard player. Their father and mother came separately to the US from Romania and met in CA. Their father is a record producer and now their manager. They have recently relocated to GA. I agree with PT's comment, check out "Nothing" as a starter for their great originals. There is also a video of "Mars" live which you should look at. Vinny Appice calls the lead singer, Melody, "Melodio".
Hope to see more Liliac reactions from you. They have a huge following that follow every reaction video (ME INCLUDED). They are simply fantastic, as you will find out when you watch more of their work.

the reason you didnt hear justins keyboard is on purpose he is taking place of the 2nd guitar you usually get in metal and they didnt want his sound to overpower the rest of the players check out master of puppets you can hear him throughout that one
They are entertainers, and have been performing hardcore in front of crowds, for a long time. They are very comfortable on a stage because of this. Check out Crazy Train, The Trooper, Enter Sandman, for starters to see them at a younger age. After cutting teeth on covers, they progressed into amazing originals, but still add covers that they enjoy doing, plus have been voted on by fans. They are social media giants. Have been on Americas got talent, and the worlds best TV shows. Any reactor not covering them, are missing out. I'm glad you chose too. 🤘🤓🤘

Welcome to Liliac. The metal saviors. They are rising fast. On tour right now. Originals are awesome. 2 albums. They are playing the finals Kiss Kruise this Oct. They played the 2019 Kiss Kruise and weekends the talk of the Kruise that Kiss booked them immediately for this final one . They will be playing The Rocklahoma festival in Sept hosted by Eddie Trunk . They have opened for Queensryche, Slaughter and other 80's bands. Vocalist Melody just filmed a 45 minute set at DPS MUSIC in L A with Vinny Appice former Sabbath drummer Dio era and Dio drummer , Rudy Sarzo bass former Quit Riot. Ozzy Osborne bassist and Michael Anthony Batio on guitar . They recorded a Dio/Sabbath tribute. Liliac's originals are awesome Nothing is excellent and check them out doing Mars live pro shot on there 2019 tour also original. There songwriting talent is amazing. There a family band of 3 brothers and 2 sisters aged 12 - 21. There also independent. There dad is there manager , producer and they have there own recording studio. All the videos are done by the family.

Saw them live in Texas a couple of weeks ago and they were amazing. We got to meet them too and they were super nice and polite. I hope to see them again at Rocklahoma this summer.

^^^ This! I think a lot of the songs they cover don't have piano/keyboard parts. Their Master of Puppets cover you can clearly hear a keyboard though. I don't doubt that he is playing and playing well but if the song wasn't written with a piano part I assume they have come up with it themselves. Their originals make much better use of Justin's talent.
Everything they do is very professional, Pappa Liliac said if they can't do something 100% they won't do it! They have a good catalogue of original and covers all are very good !

Oh man you really need to watch their cover of (I Hate Myself for Loving You) just so you don't have to look for it.
In my opinion way better than original Melodies vocals really elevated it to another level.
RJD made it popular becuz his Grandmother used it to ward off evil. BUT he didn't invent it. It was another band back in the 60s who started it.

BTW, do more Liliac but especially recent stuff since they've all matured and only have gotten better. Master Of Puppets may be a cover, but Sam does two solos that just blow my mind on it. He does an intro solo to Mars LIVE, Justin the keyboardist does a beautiful intro on Sail Away. Abby is such a stellar drummer and Ethan is so damn good on the 5 string bass. What other band plays a 5 string? And Melody just gets better with her cut diamond voice.

I'm 64 but LILIAC blew me away. They are from California but live in Georgia right now.
They are from Downy, CA and now live in Georgia. Mama and Papa Liliac are from Romania originally. In this video, Papa Liliac probably did the recording and Sam (guitar player) the editing. Papa Liliac was a music producer by trade and the kids took an interest so he got them instruments and lessons and here we are. Sam Abigail, Melody, Ethan and Justin all play, really play, entrustments they are holding. Melody plays bass, btw. Ethan both guitar and bass. Justin is a good pianist. You need to listen to other things they have done.
These kids got their performing chops busking on the Santa Monica pier. Then the crowds grew too large and they were asked not to go there any longer. You need to check out their channel thoroughly. Lots of history on them there. RJD was Melody's inspiration. They do cover Joan Jett btw and Janis. They are NOT a cover band. They have something like 20 original songs out there. They just enjoy doing covers as well. BTW, this video is at least 2 years old.

Good job Joshua. This video is in 2019 I believe, so Justin would have been 11. They aren't a "New"- Paid their dues playing on Santa Monica Pier & Boardwalk in Calif. 1st release ( Wild Thing) was in Sept of 2015. Justin was pecking away at Keyboards at 8-9 years old.

Since you questioned the keyboard, I would suggest that you check out their cover of Metallica's "Master of Puppets." Some hardcore Metallica fans didn't like it because (in their opinion) the keyboard sound wasn't like the original. I think that the synth works well, since the song is about drug addiction, and it gives it an eerie sound.

I for one can't stand Joan Jett, never did. So when I saw Melody covering her song, I didn't even want to listen to it. But I finally did and of course Melody killed it. I still am not a fan of the song, but at least it's easier to accept with our girl, Melo-Dio doing it.

Regarding the Keyboardist, you have to realize that with a lot of metal bands with keyboards, it is very hard to hear and separate out the keys. Because they often supplement the guitars. Listen to their Dio cover "Rainbow in the Dark" that features a main keyboard lead, and it's clearly audible.

You finally got an American band Liliac great, there are 4 bands that I personally love that are from our western hemisphere. Liliac, The Warning, Quarter after Three (Formerly known as Motion Device) and Greta Van Fleet all classic hard rock bands and all sibling bands.

Justin on the keyboard is no prop. They keep his part quiet when he was this young, when the original songs didn't carry a keyboard part. He may or may not have played a part in this. Dio and Jimmy played keyboards, but obvious can't when busy doing other parts. If you listen to the official musical video of this song, the only keyboard part you really hear is in very beginning. But Liliac doesn't bother with it here. Justin does play and is playing real well on all their originals like this one "Sail Away"

But here pretty sure whatever part he had is no longer in the mix. Or so low it's non existent. Even at the age of 10 I think he was he still carry's his own on other covers with chords. Very good pick up on the kids part. Be assured though he plays very well today at 13.
All these siblings are very talented. You'll have to watch more to see what we all know. If you choose "The Trooper" the kid playing bass Ethan is actually play guitar in that one and you should be amazed at his solo he does right before big brother Sam.

Abigail the drummer is one of the most fun entertainers at drums I've seen. Maybe because she's always having the time of her life and she's a real head banger on them skins. You've already heard how good Sam is on guitar. He will one day be recognized as one of the greats. Melody the singer, is it. She's what makes them different from any others who are playing rock.
