I knew about 75% of this but it was great to see the finer details and just what you get when you ask a highly experienced former Birmingham gunsmith to check an old English side by side for you. Great video and very helpful, this really is the holy grail! Thanks for posting.
wow!!,would I would give just to pick his brain and listen to the stories this older gentleman could tell, life long expierience is the best as its earned, thru expierience.
I have a hard time keeping my focus with Jack, its hard to listen to such a slow British accent. But I absolutely love the info these two gentleman have to offer. This is my favorite channel on youtube!
What you may not pick up if you aren't a Brit is that Jack's accent is a very soft Birmingham (or Midlands) accent. Birmingham was (and still is to an extent) the home of the British gun trade. It makes this fascinating series even more evocative. Thanks Larry for taking the trouble to bring it to us.
Now imagine how somebody who´s not an English native speaker, like myself, feel. Anyway, as I already mentioned before this gentlemens earn the most respect for sharing their knowledge here!
+328Watcher Wandered if anyone had spotted this! Being a Brummie myself it was obvious but did wonder if many Brits would notice as it is not that broad and he does speak quite quietly. As for anyone from across the pond I don't think it would be even noticeable.

Mr. Rowe is fascinating as always. Thank you for preserving and sharing his knowledge.
Nothing better than seeing it done old school.
Thank you for sharing these videos on the older rifles and shotguns.
The voice of experience doesn't need to be raised, you can hear it quite clearly here.

One thing I do on every gun is put it on safety and pull the trigger to make sure the safety works.
