Hey there! You mentioned the sound of the wind. The sound of wind through a stand of white pine is so different and amazing. Especially in winter when it's cold and snowy.... nothing like it! :)
You all are fantastic parents for sure. Hunter is a very nice young man the love you have shown all your children is a true testment to us all, love will always overcome.
That logging trailer was good. I thought you were having all that delivered. The sky, walking trail and river in the state park was beautiful. Everyone in your family will enjoy your property for many years to come. And Mike, the years of traveling for work has paid off . The life you and your family enjoy was well worth it. You did what had to be done to get where you are today. Looking forward to more videos of the new property. Stay safe.
Mike, that Virginia property would be an excellent home for your older sawmill to mill up lumber for future projects. That way you could build with onsite material and not have to transport material back and forth. Love what you do! Peace and blessings. Ops! I commented before watching the whole video. Peace.
Hello Mike, Melissa & the rest of the OWTM Family, Fans/Followers from a gorgeous day here in Virginia Beach. Thanks for bringing us along… HELLOOOO Hunter!! Have a Day!!
Congrats on the new property. Always work to do, but also good to stop and slow down and just enjoy it with your family. We live busy lives and time is precious . Best!
I am so happy for the two of you. The new property is going to be a real venture for you to experience. You are going to really enjoy your new mill. I built our log home with my LT40HD in a year twenty five years ago. I was retired and had an Amish family help me build it. My Dad was still alive and he showed up every morning at 7:00 am. to help me with the farm chores I had a herd of 25 white tail deer at the time and he enjoyed bottle feeding the fawns each spring. We had cattle, hogs, chickens, and turkeys as well as the Pizza Farm. He would run to town for things we needed. He was able to relive the life he felt passed him by. He was a widow for 25 years. So being his only son he enjoyed my farm as if it was his. Great memories for me. My six sisters resented it.
Hey Mike, another reason I'm glad I went with a circle on my driveway is on the inside of the circle I have about 8 face cord racks so customers can just pull up with a trailer to any rack, load up and then swing right back out. Another great video!
I commend you Mike for working hard and staying at it when you were younger.I used to commute a long distance after 12 hr shifts, its not easy. But,i would never got where i am in life without sacrifices,Nothing comes free and easy.Take care.
What a beautiful property you have in West Virginia, Mike and Melissa.......with REAL TREES - unlike here in San Diego !! It's considered as partly desert 🏜️ here, so you can imagine how much we LOVE trees !! Thanks for sharing, guys. It's all very exciting !!
Almost had me there when you were showing that load of logs! Camp Morgan is really going to be something special for you and your family. I look forward to seeing everything come together!
Very beautiful property, I can see you will be very happy down there. The footage of the rapids looked great, must be some good fishing in there. Thanks for sharing!!!!!
Mike you and Melisa were near us. Wife and I are across the river in Star City. Shop at Bass Pro frequently. You definitely have a beautiful piece of property, you will love it here..
The Property Is Gourgous And Very Slcluded And Quite!! I So Can Picture A Log Cabin! Just a peaceful and Quite Place To Excape To!! Keep Smiling On!! 😀👍👊
So excited for you both with regards to this new property. I have been watching you for around 3 years and you have been a motivation for myself and another family to buy property in an area about an hour south of your property in WV. Hope to meet up some time in WV!!!
Thank you, Thank you for taking us on your adventure to Swallow Falls! That's one of our favorite spots, hiking and swimming every weekend! I think Melissa will change it to a 5/5 once you find the "local" entrance.
Listening to Melissa talk about not being able to do the long drive reminded me of about 30 years ago my wife and I were going to Miami from southern Ontario and I had just about made it to the Georgia, Florida border when my wife started to say we had to stop she could not drive any more but I am the only one driving she does not. Good to bring back memories.
Beautiful place you guys got there.. I love West Virginia.. Bought my property there about 2.5 years ago.. About 3 hours drive south on I 79 from the Burgh.. Im far west of your new property.. 1st thing i built on the property was a well secure sawmill barn and then a lumber drying kiln.. Get yourself a nice 32 foot camper or bigger and be comfortable.. Im in a 24 footer 2 weeks a month there and its way to small lol.. Every rest station in WV on I79 that i stopped at has RV dump stations.. Gotta keep Melissa happy and smiling... Bless you guys..
Oh, and by the way......you really had me going for about 4 seconds! Very funny! Melissa - sneak up behind him and yell, "bigger truck!!" That looked so funny. Wow, the mystical forest sounds lovely, looks mystical and has fawns bedded all around! Sure wish that river adjoined your property! Ever do any Kayaking? My kids have 2 each, for wives or kids. Josh drives a little Toyota Corolla that has racks on top for 2 kayaks. Big deal here during summertime. You should think about it after you're all settled in down there. Maybe have one canoe for Hunter and one more. I'm really looking forward to the build there! Gosh, your channel just keeps getting better! 👍🚜❤🇺🇸
Mike, while you have the equipment for the driveway, It may not be a bad idea to lay some conduit to run your electric underground from the road. This will cause a lot less outages, IMO. Also, while you’re building, you can put a small camper/RV there at the end of the driveway and hook it up to electric. You can also bring down a tote of water each time you want to stay for now as well. Property looks very peaceful.
Thanks for another great video. You two are a wonderful example to married folks everywhere of a loving, friendly relationship. Thank you also for sharing about Hunter. Having worked with students who experienced various levels of autism, and as the grandfather of grandsons who are on the autism spectrum, I appreciate your insights into these wonderful children and how we can better help them experience success in their lives. As always, keep up the great service to us all.
Looking good in W VA Mike and Melissa. Can't wait to see some videos from the work you'll be doing around there too. You'll make it work with Hunter down there in the new place. Stay safe and keep having fun. Fred.
The white pine trees on your new property, people use the needles on those trees to make white pine needle tea. It has healing benefits you can read about on the internet.
The Garrett County Historical Society Museum & Garrett County Transportation Museum, (both near the train station in Oakland) are good stops. Lots of logging history in both Preston & Garrett counties is shown there. Mid-to-late 1800s through the early 1900s, tons of pine and red spruce were put on the B&O near Hopemont and shipped east to be used for shipbuilding. At one point in time, a Shay locomotive hauled logs from Cranesville to Hopemont, on wooden rails through the Cranesville Swamp and what is now Alpine Lake. Logging is still one of the largest industries in both Preston & Garrett counties which you can see, with constant log truck traffic.
Before I retired I was working in Michigan. On weekends I would drive 165 miles home, 135 miles to the lake cottage, 130 miles back to Michigan. Trying to take care of 2 properties was a lot for me. You have a team.
Now is the time to draw up plans for your cabin on that property make it tight and comfortable for the Winter weather and be sure you put a septic system in so you have your hot shower and your bathroom facilities . You could prefab everything at home and truck it down there and assemble it. Next trip Melissa should drive down and back so she gets the route ingrained in her memory.
Love the new property. All of your hard work is paying off BIG time. I was happy to hear you thinking of how to include Hunter in the WV property. Thank you.
Did you know, Bill Danoff, Taffy Nivert and John Denver the writers of the song "Take Me Home West Virginia" that was released in 1971, had never been to West Virginia. And they really did not know how lovely the state is or that is is "Almost Heaven"!!!
I recognized Swallow Falls immediately when you showed it. One of my favorite places in the country. Take the path that follows the river from Swallow Falls to Muddy Creek Falls.
Beautiful land there - the trees most likely sung to you with the wind in their tops. That in itself would make me purchace that property. Like the idea of cutting in just 3-400 feet instead of say 1000. Deer and more there for your pleasure. Quiet - love quiet.
Love WV, I was born and raised in Fairmont just south of Morgantown, both of my brothers still live there but I have been in Florida for 46 years, I like the warm weather and the saltwater fishing!
We had a stand of pine behind the house in Wis. and it sounded like the wind was "whispering" something. Many people called their resort or personal stand of pines, "whispering pines". I love that sound. Take care
Good day Morgans. Mike, I was passing through Grove City area Wednesday night. I was getting tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings on my cell phone. I missed everything except some rain and was hoping the same for you guys. Heading to Norwalk, Ohio for some car racing. New property adventure looks great. Keep us posted
Funny, I am in Norwalk OH now, working. I have meet the Morgan's and now have a Kubota KX 033-4, couldn't afford a 57 but hopefully in the future. So you into the Ford's?
Our son & daughter-in-law live 2 hours south of us as does his ex-wife. I used to do that trip down to see them all by myself and it never bothered me. But now that my fibromyalgia has kicked into high gear, the arthritis in my knees and now my right hip has gotten worse, I/we haven't made the trip down since covid reared it's ugly head. Between them they have 3 boys-he has sons who are 20 and 16 and she has a son who is 16. I miss the trip. Gonna have to do it again soon. When we both go, we usually come home the same day because we have no one to let our dogs out while we're gone but when I go by myself, I stay either one or 2 nights.
I know how you feel about getting things set up, a place to go and getaway. My wife and I bought a property up in NE PA last October. Due to work schedules and gas prices, we can’t get up there enough. Nothing but a 24x24polebarn on 17 acres, but it ours. We can’t wait to a house on the property and eventually retire there. The trips up and back are great talk time with the Mrs as I’m sure you two do the same. The dreaming and planning. The wife often has a notebook to write down things, goals and dreams for as we call it, Bison Acres.
Swallow falls is gorgeous. We vacationed Deep Creek a few years back and the water was so cool and refreshing, even in the hot summer. Such a gorgeous place. Will be wonderful to be so close when you get the cabin up and going.
That’s where a good pair of binoculars shines. If you use the older ones you can force the focus so that the slivers between trees are in focus not the trees. Disproves the adage that you can’t see the forest for the trees.

Some times when the red pine are planted like that they would be harvested. some time for pulp or lumber, here in the UP anyway. But if people keep them they thin them out so they grow bigger and get more light. Almost looks like a park in there.
Beautiful property. Enjoy the peacefulness of it. Much better than pushing dirt and limestone.
The best to all of you.
A day trip with a spouse that you love, is always worth it!! Enjoy many more..!
Love the expression on your wife’s face as you were showing her the property.
That is a beautiful area.
Mellisa seams in awe of that property. It is a beautiful property. You will be extremely happy with it.
The Morgan plate is getting fuller.
Beautiful land.
Love to watch.
Keep doing what your doing folks.
Just outstanding views and beautiful property! I just love walking through the bush and encountering wildlife! 🤗
My first thought at the beginning of the video was "Wait, he doesn't have a 5th wheel on his truck---does he?!" 🤔
Fantasyland! The enchanted forest for sure. Peacefulness.
Hey there! You mentioned the sound of the wind. The sound of wind through a stand of white pine is so different and amazing. Especially in winter when it's cold and snowy.... nothing like it! :)
You are so right. I love that sound, like the wind is talking to you.
Listen to the wind blow... watch the sun rise.

Thats WEST VIRGINIA
According to the Sheriff, in a previous video, it would probably be stolen.
My thoughts exactly, and the little MX!
Thats his plan!
Yep WEST VIRGINIA…..it’s an entirely different state!!!

Wow the new property looks amazing
Nice land so glad you all got it

Good afternoon from Upstate South Carolina. Love the state park. Have a productive day.
Love the new property, looks like paradise. I laughed when you were backing up to the log trailer, would make a nice picture.
Glad to see you back in Preston County. Enjoy the visit.
Great pictures and video Mike and Melissa especially your property and the steam.
The Property Is Gourgous And Very Slcluded And Quite!! I So Can Picture A Log Cabin! Just a peaceful and Quite Place To Excape To!!

😀👍👊
That is enough room between those maples. Leave them both up as it will mean that your gate is more secure!
What a beautiful spot, looking forward to seeing it developed and what you do with it.
Fawns are real good at staying in place. We nearly missed seeing one curled up next to a tree when we were working the yard once.
Love the ferns, would love to transplant them on to my property for ground cover! Beautiful!
So excited for you both with regards to this new property. I have been watching you for around 3 years and you have been a motivation for myself and another family to buy property in an area about an hour south of your property in WV. Hope to meet up some time in WV!!!

That is some gorgeous countryside. Congratulations on finding that jewel of a property.
Awesome looking property! I am sure ya'll will make it an awesome retreat home . Love watching ya'll!

For the ride, Walmart had 1.5 inch thick gel seat bottom which helps take the bumps out. Liked it so well I used it on the zero turn mower.
Great property. Congrats. Looks like good fishing near by!
Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Good Almost Heaven Afternoon to the Morgan's!!
Go to the Honi Bar on Saturday afternoons in Deep Creek. Live bands all day. It's a nice time.

Mike you might want to purchase that corner 10 acres. That way you'll never have a problem neighbor on that lot.
Great video mike and Melissa, that property is sure beautiful, yea the old saw mill would be nice to have there, you can cut on and mill there

Snow break is what they call it. When the trees were small you got a heavy snow and broke the tops out.
I’ve been all through that area very many good sites very clean Morgantown gets very very busy but then again it is a college town
Just a suggestion for your first purchase at the new property...a picnic table. Maybe two. Thanks for sharing.
Good evening Morgans and friends

Hello Michael! 👍
@@davidmorse8432 hello friend. Hope all is well
Good morning to all from SE Louisiana 11 Jun 22.
Beautiful property you got there. Quiet, undisturbed and all those majestic trees, it must feel like walking in a temple or a cathedral.
Loved the Thumbnail and the opening....
the old Grocery-getter could definitely pull that log trailer~~
😆

Looks like Vancouver Island!... thanks 4 video. be kind.

Good video. A lot of information on upcoming items on your to do list.
The park reminds me of McConnells Mills in Portersville. Another part of God’s country, another blessing. Thanks for sharing with us, farmer rod.
You could prefab a reasonable cabin at your existing place, even using you own timber, then transport it down in the Moritz and assemble it onsite ver a couple of days.
Log trailer reminded me of the remote control mini Bronco. At first thought I was like he knows better than to try to pull that w an f150!
Mike and Melissa, don't be afraid to sacrifice a few trees to build a cabin on the property, this would be an upgrade to the place and you can always plant more and some fruit trees to make the place sustainable .... go with your head and heart best wishes from the Alps
Definitely worth it! Enchanted forest!
