I really like what David is doing these days. His collaboration with Polly is wonderful. David's contribution to Pink Floyd has truly stood the test of time. People may debate the contributions made by each band member in Pink Floyd, but one thing is certain, it would not have been the same without David's great guitar work and vocals. Thank you so very much, David for giving so many years of your wonderful music and talent to us, and it's great to see you continue making fine music, even today.
His mastery of the guitar is beautiful. And her seems like a really decent human being. The seemed to look out for Syd after he was out of the band. Such a sad heartbreaking story of Syd.
I grew up listening to PF & to this day listen to it alot. David Gilmour is my all time favorite musican. Unfortunatly never had the honor to see them live here in the U.S.
Seeing Pink Floyd was on my Bucket List since I was 11 YO living in Croatia and I can proudly say I scratch that details off my list 30 Mar 1994 when I see them alive from 14th row, I could see them clearly and was just something you can die after if you as big fan as me. Sorry buddy, I was hoping for one more chance but unfortunately that will not be possible without Rick Wright any it wouldnt be the same if its happened.
You know...that song...ta ta taa...picked my iphone....recorded it... took it ....Polly wrote the lyrycs....great... !!! Man.... this man and his wife...absolute people..
Yeah! who'd a thought that he would return @ the same age as the 1st time? dig this resemblance Erubiel.H... www.doctormacro.com/movie%20star%20pages/Weissmuller,%20Johnny-Annex2.htm -gilpin 31917
Gah I love David Gilmour so much. He was talking about how his music isn't as much of an organized thought our process. He says its rather more of a mess that he puts together and throws out there and hopes we enjoy it. He's my favorite musician of all time!!!!
. The thing that makes me a little sad is that once he starts the show, everyone in the audience has their phones out and are recording to watch later instead of being there in the moment enjoying the live show.
Hi Mister Man! That was the coolest concert I have ever been to! And my very first huge concert too! Had been to no more than 2500 capacity until that one. Just wish i had been up close! We were in section P1 it was great but that thing above them got in the way of seeing him on that round screen. Lets keep our fingers crossed he comes back to Cali as I long to see him again
I think he's a talented bass player but I was never too happy with his bass playing for post-Roger Floyd. A bit too disco-ish for my ears, more of a late 70s/early 80s style of bass playing.
For gods sake, going to any concert is about sitting or standing there listening to and watching the talent on stage, or pure magic in this case, and all you see nowadays is a bloody sea of people standing with there hands in the air blocking the view with there stupid phones, give it a rest people and enjoy the music. The official footage and audio will be a million times better than your tinny shit i phone or Samsung and your arms won't ache, and you can watch it on youtube in high quality as opposed to the crap quality your filming.
Neo Geo It will change. Millennials have everything wrong. They actually like shit. I can't think of one thing they have gotten right. The people making the best music today are in their 50's, 60's and 70's.. What does that tell you?
I believe that song will never be conducted the same way, by anybody at all. It's such a gem to the rock industry. I do love Set the controls for the heart of the sun. Did you know the lyrics are repeated from an ancient Japanese poetry?
Rodzilla he was friends with Syd before he was with Rick. I mean have a think about it. Listen to those 70's songs about Syd to get an understanding of what Syd meant to them and him. Remember, he collaborated with Syd on his solo albums. Not even Roger troubled himself to do that. Ricks passing should not stop him from paying tribute to him and the best way to pay tribute him is to play the songs that have Ricks signature on it and it should not be forgotten that these songs are a collaboration. David's guitar work is his guitar work not Ricks or Rogers or Nicks.
I would agree with you, David, if the EU wasn't such a soulless bureaucracy. Britain should retain her spiritual roots, as should Germany and France. We should not amalgamate into a McWorld, regimented and codified. Every place has it's own genius. We should find deep roots and high spirits and share what we've come up with. Beethoven, Satie, Pink Floyd. Not a bland porridge. Variety is the spice of life. Thank you for the great music, the great experience. Salt and sun and life.
He did a very awsomes shows in São Paulo, Porto Alegre and Curitiba, places in Brazil, unfortunaly i didn't go for any of them but i'm still live and will expect another tour that's includes a tow that i live today, Salvador -Bahia, but .If he another tour will not include Salvador, i will go to a city that however play, like i did for a Steve Hackett Genesis Revisted Show in Rio in the same year that he plays in Brazil....
I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan and think David Gilmour is one of the greatest guitarists. However, when at about 5:00 he starts talking about Globalism I switched off. He is correct for the 1% but not for the rest of us.
Que geração de idiotas temos nos dias de hoje... Uma apresentação tão magnífica e histórica, privilégio para poucos, e todo mundo usando os celulares para filmar. Lamentável!
David Gilmour talking about I phones ? what next Roger Waters works with Trump LOL anyway on a serious note real music never dies this is why Gilmour and Waters are still relevant after 50 years in the music industry
I totally get what he is saying about the venue's but what about all the millions who are dying to see you including myself who cant really afford the expense of travelling and high ticket prices ect? Wish you would play somewhere affordable god sake haha still love you though..thanks for everything!
Look at the entire audience. No one is just enjoying the moment. A thousand cell phone camera jockeys thinking they're recording for posterity. What a joke we have become as a society. Ridiculous...
I saw him at the United Center last year and couldn't believe all the people staring at the show through their phones, I mean the man was right there in front of you. That being said I kind of wish I had some footage, but there were times during the show I think I forgot how to breathe, there's no way I would have been able to run a camera.
It's not a gretsch, nor did he play a gretsch on any of the songs you mentioned. He played his Gold top with P90s for all three of those songs. He only usually uses his gretsch for comfortably numb on occasion.
Alas, there appears to be some lingering tension and disdain between the two due to past disagreement or transgressions. Methinks that Waters would be more amenable to a collaboration than Gilmour.
In fairness to David, he's an old hippy that wants the whole world to be in love but Waters who has written some very strong lyrics about big business being full of corruption is being very hypocritical. They are so far removed from reality, they have forgotten about the ordinary man. Its a pity.
Yes particularly Waters. He's a very creative man but so hypocritical in his choice of creative messaging. He's above all one of the richest rock stars ever and espouses socialism and condemns Trump for being rich.
You know...that song...ta ta taa...picked my iphone....recorded it... took it ....Polly wrote the lyrycs....great... !!! Man.... this man and his wife...absolute people..

His last words in this interview bring joy to my heart.
Unfortunatly never had the honor to see them live here in the U.S.
steve noneya I hope one day your dreams come true
I saw him last year and it was ...fantastic...sorry to make you jealous :-)...I hope you get a chance...one day
yves573 Yeah kind of jelous, glad u enjoyed his show, Im sure it was Awesome. Something u will remember the rest of ur life.
Seeing Pink Floyd was on my Bucket List since I was 11 YO living in Croatia and I can proudly say I scratch that details off my list 30 Mar 1994 when I see them alive from 14th row, I could see them clearly and was just something you can die after if you as big fan as me. this tour was in Chicago last year. I drove from Detroit to see it.
I can't imagine a world where Pink Floyd music is no longer relevant..
Its forever amazing.
I was there and I will never forget that night. Thank you David
One of the best Damn singers and guitarists Of all time!
David Tasche Eric Clapton bows his head when David plays guitar.
You know...that song...ta ta taa...picked my iphone....recorded it... took it ....Polly wrote the lyrycs....great... !!! Man.... this man and his wife...absolute people..
man he looks great! i treasure his late music and his creations now. thanks for him :)
David Gilmour Forever Forever Thank you so very much,Wonderful music.
At 0:06, the person with the long hair looks like 70s Gilmour!
plot twist: 70s gilmour had a time machine
Erubiel.H omg yes
Erubiel.H you're right
No kidding!!!
Yeah! who'd a thought that he would return @ the same age as the 1st time?

me and the wife were lucky enough to be there absolutely brilliant
. The thing that makes me a little sad is that once he starts the show, everyone in the audience has their phones out and are recording to watch later instead of being there in the moment enjoying the live show.
I'm completely in love with David!!!
We can't wait! Our staff are going to the one night only event at the theater tonight! Glad David did this!
'What do you want from me' is an underrated song.
agreed
You rule the rock world, David!
An absolute genius.
Yes, we should unite! Resource based economy! Together we stand, divided we fall!
Miss you David Gilmour and hope you come back to California
hey i was there on the 25th!
We were there on the same day you were :)

One can hope Mister Man but he may be done coming to the states at least that is what am hearing and if that is the case I really got lucky. :)
Long live David Gilmour
You clearly have a heart of Vision for our future.💯☝️
I love Pink Floy
I wonder if David knows how much he means to generations of people
I didn't know about this concert! Boy how I wish I could've been there!
I just love Guy Pratt! He's still just as cute as button. And, David...like a fine wine...just gets better & better.
I think he's a talented bass player but I was never too happy with his bass playing for post-Roger Floyd. A bit too disco-ish for my ears, more of a late 70s/early 80s style of bass playing.
All stood there with their phones really taking it all in
Miss David Gilmour and Roger Water on Montreal will ne Nice to se them together again before i die
I’d love to see David Gilmour playing alongside Andy Latimer. Two of my favourite guitarists together. I think it would be awesome! 👍🏻😊
After playing THERE.
edguitar stanley eisen haha thank you for this comment
Overhead an albatross hangs motionless upon air
And deep beneath the rolling waves in labyrinths of coral caves
the echo of a distant tide, comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine...
And no-one showed us to the lands, and no-one knows the where or whys
Someone speaks

It's that just plain weird that people do that? I can't believe it. It makes me crazy.
i hear ya. what ever happened to enjoying the moment.
yes in deed
Neo Geo It will change. Millennials have everything wrong. They actually like shit. I can't think of one thing they have gotten right. The people making the best music today are in their 50's, 60's and 70's.. What does that tell you?
and 40's. Gen X's
bonne et joyeux noel a david gilmour
So in love with him
Fish, here is a prophet, a visionary and a poet!!!
I wish he had played Echoes
Panek911 he will never play echoes ever again since the death of his closest band mate and friend Richard Wright.
A Saucerful of Secrets
I believe that song will never be conducted the same way, by anybody at all. It's such a gem to the rock industry.
I do love Set the controls for the heart of the sun. Did you know the lyrics are repeated from an ancient Japanese poetry?

wesmatron 70s David Gilmore!
06:18.......that s it.....
Oh man, it was such a great show... wait, nevermind, that was Grand Funk Railroad
Mr. Gilmour, it would be great if you come to México again to play, but this time in the mayan ruins of Chichen Itza.
pink floy
joaquin arellano haha XD
Was this professionally shot? Oh my, what a blu ray this would make!
It was
MUCH more interesting without fans, in splendid isolation.
My friend got tickets for both nights.....she follow s gilmour across the world.....

Isn't it the last solo of pigs at 6.33 ??
Did he play pigs in that show??😨😨
Put your damn phones down. You're in fuckin POMPEII seeing DAVID GILMOUR. Experience it with your own eyes.
Lucky manager
their with Pink Floy!!
correct the title please. its NOT " playing THEIR with pink FLOY.
it should be: " playing THERE with pink FLOYDS "
i was hoping he would talk about going back to Pompeii
I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan and think David Gilmour is one of the greatest guitarists. However, when at about 5:00 he starts talking about Globalism I switched off. He is correct for the 1% but not for the rest of us.
Greg Johnston just an opinion made u switch ?! ......
where to find the full video of the concert please?
It used to be lighters in the audience......
Associated Press can't use the correct "THERE" in their title?!
🎶🎼Love ❤💋💋💋
Who is this Pink Floy you speak of?
2:00 Put down your damn phones, ya scrubs! >:c
An interesting seat he's got there, maybe it makes finding your loose change easier?
Why not at Teotihuacan?
The phones, people are dehumanised...
...after playing "their" with Pink "Floy" !! C'mon AP!
Whats the song he plays first?
good
Que geração de idiotas temos nos dias de hoje... Uma apresentação tão magnífica e histórica, privilégio para poucos, e todo mundo usando os celulares para filmar. Lamentável!
lol at all the camera screens
David Gilmour talking about I phones ? what next Roger Waters works with Trump LOL anyway on a serious note real music never dies this is why Gilmour and Waters are still relevant after 50 years in the music industry
I wonder if this venue only head Pink Floyd performing inside of it
Nose pick at 5:18! He's an actual person! ....
I totally get what he is saying about the venue's but what about all the millions who are dying to see you including myself who cant really afford the expense of travelling and high ticket prices ect? Wish you would play somewhere affordable god sake haha still love you though..thanks for everything!

Now we know he uses iPhone 😂
i didnt say that??
did I see it right .;David does have a Les Paul? :-)...
Another Brick solo was on a Les Paul Gold Top.
yves573 and notice how shitty it sounded.
It's the Gretsch he plays with on 5AM, The Girl in the Yellow Dress, and I'm pretty sure And Then
It's not a gretsch, nor did he play a gretsch on any of the songs you mentioned. He played his Gold top with P90s for all three of those songs. He only usually uses his gretsch for comfortably numb on occasion.
If you are ever in norwich come and meet me.p and h
*there
Pink Floy?......hmmmmmm
5:00 dave the globalist ,how sad
could do with out the political commentary
Love you Dave but my God I wish you would work with Roger one more time. His lyrics on his new album make Polly's seem like a high school student.
Alas, there appears to be some lingering tension and disdain between
the two due to past disagreement or transgressions. Methinks that Waters would be more amenable to a collaboration than Gilmour.
Now you know fan well you cant compare her to Roger, it just reeks of telling her to stay in her place
"their"
Jesus.
You're a great guy dave but you're wrong on the political stuff. EU is not good for the UK.
I agree. Rock stars are often politically left, uninformed, and in a fantasy world. Merkel's EU is a disaster.
In fairness to David, he's an old hippy that wants the whole world to be in love but Waters who has written some very strong lyrics about big business being full of corruption is being very hypocritical. They are so far removed from reality, they have forgotten about the ordinary man. Its a pity.

Carl 123 bet you don't shit about him you fuckhead and you are butthurt that he just says his opinion...grow up ffs
Trim Antoni Ok. Sorry I didn't mean to make you have a meltdown.
Without Roger Waters it's not the same...sorry David...
Buy Dave a shirt!
Britain sepparately of the rest of the world is the best they can do, David you are very wrong, you talk in this way because you are a millionaire.
time to retire mr gilmore i love you but it is time to let go
You know...that song...ta ta taa...picked my iphone....recorded it... took it ....Polly wrote the lyrycs....great... !!! Man.... this man and his wife...absolute people..
