Great video. I had a ProMaster Cargo van I converted to a camper van. Check out a aluminum or steel Grill Guard, it will protect the front end if you hit a deer. I hit a deer and the frontend exploded. Took me weeks to get it fixed. The body shop guy recommended the grill Guard. It will save you weeks of down time. I made some curtains to go behind the front seats. I used black shipping blankets from Harbor Freight. Had a lady sew a loop on one end. I used a adjustable shower rod to hold it up. The AC would freeze you out on a 95 degree day with them closed. I put BFG KO2 All Terrain light truck tires on it. I went one size over stock, and with front wheel drive the ProMaster was great on logging roads in the back country. You have a great setup Rusty.
Enough of these vehicles have hit the road that you could easily find info on how long the brakes or any other car part will last. And how to best drive it like you plan to. I like it, it's pretty quiet, which is a plus.
Wow found it 30 seconds after you posted...She'll be coming around the mountain when she comes...I never understood that song lol Edit ok here's a quick lesson She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain "She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain" is a traditional folk song often categorized as children's music. The song is derived from the Christian spiritual known as "When the Chariot Comes". It has been assigned the number 4204 in the Roud Folk Song Index.Wikipedia
I always hated that drive up and down that mountain. I always got car sick so I quit going to Cloudcroft. Glad you're enjoying your adventures and C U later.
Rusty another big rock slide occurred in the same spot NMDOT fixed in June, two days ago. They cleared it away overnight. 12:50 mark. If it isn't the speeding drivers, then the mountain can get us. Hope NMDOT does a permanent repair soon.
Considering the terrain you will be driving on a regular basis, you might consider a brake upgrade. "Powerstop" is a very good brand and quite inexpensive.
If you ever stop into Tularosa, eat over at Loredo's. I swear, they have the Best Mexican food! Also, ride through, lots of history and there is a lodge that a local fixed up. He knows a lot of history all around where your at. I know, i'm bias because i'm originally from Tularosa, now live in Florida. You made a wise choice moving to Cloudcroft, Capitan is nice but i prefer Cloudcroft. Love your channel! Stay safe.
😅🙌🏽🍿 Wow ! Yes !Thanks for sharing, Rusty ! Time for me to re-read the newest “Cruise Control Manual”, because I thought tapping the Brake would dis-engage the Cruise Control 😬
How did we ever survive not having an air conditioner in a car???? I remember travelling all over the western US in the summer without an air conditioner!!! I guess we didnt know any better! I remember dad talking about his "truckers tan"!!!

A real “White Knuckle Drive” down the mountain. The B front window makes me feel I’m behind the wheel. Best driving video ever. Thanks Rusty

Happy Saturday Rusty and friends!😎
Happy Saturday!
That was a pretty drive, thanks for taking us along. Sounds like the Class B did a great job. 👍🍻
it does very well up and down the mountain
Video looks great out of that windshield
Interesting about the different feel of the Class B from the Class C. Makes sense though.
Jennifer’s a little hottie.

I down shift to lowest gear going down steep hills.

My pleasure!!
I never thought about trying to set the cruise control going down the mountain, I guess the cars computer would automatically brake if it needs to. 👍
works great in the B
🎙🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 She was coming down the mountain doing ninety/When the chain on the bicycle broke/They found her in the grass/With a sprocket etc. 😂
You must have done this drive right before the massive rock slide on that road.

Yeah, locals in mountainous areas fly past you like they think its the Indy 500!!!!

That stretch of hwy is a safety corridor. Traffic fines are double. There were too many wrecks on that road.
Indeed, and there still are.
I think those people that pass you know who you are and just want to be on your channel...back in the day, they were called groupies.
Nice, also I’m first!
yipppeee!!!
