Great to know! Thank you! I had the Neutrogena that was on the recall. I didn’t even think to check the batch number. I took it back. I wasn’t panicked but I feel better watching this. I used it one day multiple times on my daughter and myself at the beach.
Yes, benzene is everywhere!
I am a chemist in the industrial cannabis industry, benzene is regulated by the state of CA to be less than 1ppm.
Most products we see are "ND"
However, at high temperatures terpenes break down into isoprene units which are intermediates in forming aromatic compounds. so even if something test negative for benzene it can be created during the dabbing process (due to the high temps)
Always buy from a dispensary that is legal since they must meet state specifications to sell on the market.
i was wondering if you could talk about the OGX shampoos and the ingredient DMDM hydantoin - there was a super scary post going around FB that claimed that it was formaldehyde - I did a little bit of reading and found that it was essentially a preservative and anti-microbial but I'd love your opinion. You can be so succinct and approachable at the same time. Love your videos.

Hey Kenna! Rawbeautykristi made a video a short while ago talking about how certain products (makeup but idk if this also goes for skincare) where they contain these bad chemicals that can cause long term issues such as cancer and I was just wondering what your opinion on it was ^^’

@@KennaWhitnell Hmmm...I've heard of reports of hand sanitizer being contaminated with benzene too. I know it's not skincare but most of us are all using more hand sanitizer than previous years. Perhaps you can talk about this.

I bought that sunscreen and I got the most severe allergic reaction I’ve ever gotten. It was so bad, my face was irrecognizable.

I used one of the sunscreens on the list 2 weeks ago and I’ve had a rash ever since. Is it possible that benzene could cause this? My doctor has no idea what it is.

Get the refund before you toss it!! Go to neutrogena or Aveeno website depending on which product you have.
