- Replay Guitar Exchange was proud to host Andy Timmons for a Clinic and Q&A.
Andy Timmons’ musical career began in his hometown of Evansville, Indiana at the age of 13 with his first band, Taylor Bay. The decision to pursue the studio scene led him to more serious musical studies. He studied classical guitar for two years before moving to study jazz guitar at the University of Miami. Timmons eventually found himself living in Dallas where the Andy Timmons Band was formed in 1988. Around that time, Epic recording artist, Danger Danger, recruited him to finish their debut record and begin touring. As the guitarist for the pop-metal band, he toured the world opening for Kiss and Alice Cooper, sold over a million records worldwide, and had two #1 videos on MTV! Timmons returned to Dallas in 1993 to resume his studio career and the Andy Timmons Band. He has become one of the most respected and sought after clinicians representing Ibanez Guitars, touring the world on their behalf.

The epitome of tone, grit and feeling. The best IMO...
His rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody on this day was outstanding.....Amazing Talent and Humble...
Dude, that was so awesome. Such emotions from your guitar. It's one thing to be able to play arpeggios and sweeps etc.... But to be able to take skill and convey feelings without saying anything..... Speaks volumes. Kudos brother 💪, great job!
The Sound is incredible!
Amazing tone n dynamic control
I'm so disappointed that this video cuts off before the end of the song.
