- Welcome to my review of the Lightning Collection Master Morpher from the Power Rangers Series. This is used by Tommy in the Dimensions in Danger Anniversary crossover in Ninja Steel. It was also used by him in the Soul of the Dragon Solo Comic. It allows him to morph into all of this ranger forms, including; Mighty Morphin Green & White, Zeo Ranger V Red, Red Turbo Ranger, and the Dino Thunder Black Ranger. Includes phrases recorded by Jason David Frank himself.

While I’m still glad I picked this release up, a lot of the voice lines are utterly bizarre and laughable at times. I think there is a more random/secret one where he mumbles about smoothies at Ernie’s and it was funny in a weird way.
It’s so close to being a really great release but it’s just so odd. The writers of the voice lines really didn’t know what they were doing. It’s criminal they didn’t even have the “cheap copy” line.
There's also an evil green Ranger mode.

I’m very happy to have it myself. It’s very meaningful to me and it means a lot to me to be able to own it.
That said I still have some nitpicks like no on/off switch, would of liked to have started with a default morph jingle/sound before we did the phrases, and yeah more actual phrases from the show as there was missed opportunity there to include more.
The White Ranger sounds I find very cringy but Dino Thunder Black I find hilarious. Turbo needed more Jingle All the Way phrases for sure!
Very happy to own this though! Sad to already seeing it get scalped so hard.

Even with some of the weird voice clips, I love owning this after wanting a Master Morpher since Dimensions in Danger came out. I never got the original because it was a weird Walmart exclusive and I never cared about getting the vague-movie repaints of pink and yellow. So this was a no-brainer.
I guess "final performance of JDF as Tommy" isn't significant enough for anything more than artificial scarcity.
So far I've found 3 "hidden" sounds that only play when the morpher is closed. 1 line on the green, white tiger, and falcon coins.
It's a shame he doesn't say "White Ranger Power" or "Zeo Ranger Five... Red!" That's what he said in the show. Otherwise I'm pretty happy.
He does say those I've seen other reviews for it
But why do we need the extra phases no cares about
Isn't the falcon coin on the chest of the ninjetti suit...? I know they're definitely there in the movie, but I couldn't remember if they were also on the series suits. Really cool that they included it though, to see all three of Tommy's MMPR coins together is really unique. That red star Zeo coin is legitimately my favorite one of the set, it looks SO good. I almost wish they made actual Zeo Power Coins for the series, that bright color against the gold coin is striking as hell! I'd love for Adam to get one of these, if we include ninjetti forms, he's got 4 different Ranger powers.

A lot of the catchphrases sound like stuff he'd say if MMPR and such were made by today's scripting standards.
At least it doesn't say "That's a Mighty Morphin' Win!" or something like that.
No, "Dino Thunder Power Up!" is weird, or, as you say, the lack of the cheap copy line feels odd as that's one that should have been guaranteed to make it in.

some lines I wish we got were "Once a ranger always a ranger" with the zeo coin since that's where that phrase originated from & as for the dino thunder coin I wish we got "I mat be old, but I can still pull it off" , "No matter what color I am, I'll never be defeated", plus "I checked my closet, & there's a serious shortage of black in there" because those were some of my favorites.

If Hasbro wanted to give it a more premium look, they could have given the rock base a paint wash of black.
I’m really liking the chromed-out front plates on this. Gives it a more Legacy-ish vibe. I kinda wish they would do a version of the regular Morpher with chromed front plates and that coin style.

Really wish they would have made this a higher end collectible item similar to the Bandai legacy morpher, but I really like it regardless.

Really cool overall!! I dont love the finish on the coins (espeically the zeo one which you're right has a Gem feel) but thats why Starlight Studio exists so we can get the coins we like! Great review!
Hasbro should have made more master Morphers because I couldn't not get one I'm a huge JDF Fan The Greatest Ranger of All Time Wazzup Wazzup I miss you JDF!!!

My Zeo 5 coin has slightly chipped red paint on it but not enough to make a stink to Hasbro about it.

I want this, but there is no way to buy it in Norway. I saw it's only on Hasbro Pulse but that doesn't work for Norway.
I wish they would’ve just used his audio from the show for each phrase….. it just sounded so natural powerful & full of attitude back then

I love this thing but after like a few days it was like completely covered in scratches, the gold plastic is easy to scape let me know if this isn't just me
My zeo coin came in all scratched up, paint defects on the chrome. This thing feels so cheap...

i was considering getting this when it came to canada but the voice lines ruin it for me.. they should have had a second button that did the additional lines, while having the one opening button be the morph callout
If you put some coins upside down it read another one because of the notches that’s how it reads which coin it is
Something weird was going on with the voice lines. Idk especially the smoothie line on particular sounds like it was stitched together from other lines or maybe AI? Something’s majorly off though
Aside from some coins could use some colored paint this is how the regular lc morpher should be

The only thing that I found disappointing with this was that it didn't interact with the previous five power coins. And it feels like, logically it would. Because they added the fourth trigger on the bottom that the other three morphers didn't have, and they made sure not to duplicate the patterns on the first five coins... Why would you do that, unless you planned to program something in for the original coins?
My guess it that it was planned, but in late stages, for whatever reason, they scrapped it.
I wish there was a way to do standard henshins without jdf lines

I really like lightning collection tommy oliver master morpher because the look so good. Die-Cast Power coins look good. The stand have secret component to storage Die-Cast Power coins Die-Cast Power coins that good the old stand came with lightning collection power morpher/Pink/Yellow power morphers don’t have secret component to storage Metals Power coins. Have lots and sounds in lightning collection tommy oliver master morpher .Lots of JDF voice lines and have some secret voices lines in lightning collection tommy oliver master morpher.

Kinda hate the old JDF voice. But the morpher is not bad.
Actuality this Toy is not Tommy Oliver final role after his death in 2022, the 2023 Toy is AI Voice of Jason David Frank or Archive Recorded from TV Series, Movies & Videogames.

DosmRider here’s a theory on the Master Morphine and I think that Haley from Dino thunder created it he how could Billy create the master morpher in know about Tommy’s dino, thunder, black, ranger powers, and all that the only powers he knew of were green, white and red, and he wouldn’t know that Tommy was turbo red ranger, either and this is just a theory that I think she could’ve had one of them remote like Wesley Collins had she could’ve had one and went back in time to get some of the Ranger powers and she went back to get green. Ranger powers beat tigers or power the ninja power, Zio power and turbo power and Dino thunder because that’s the first one daddy used and I’m just saying that could be who made it because how would Billy know about the other two powers he wouldn’t, unless he had one of them Portos things and went back through time and filled it, and somehow knew to call Haley to come pick it up but my theory is that Haley built it with ninja war Think about it. How would Billy know how to make power coins because he didn’t know how to make them into once and always at Christian Tech. He didn’t have that yet. I don’t think his company was up and running at the time he could’ve been running, but he wouldn’t have known about the other two powers of Tommy’s and I just wanted to tell you that I think I found the creator maybe on the master morpher because he is a genius to just like Billy wife and I think she did have a portal and went back through Time in to get Tommy powers, told Wesley College what she was doing in Macon for Tommy to fight lord Draven and his robot army rangers, because I think she went back in time for ninja war. She went back to the ninja powers, Aaron, and found new. Jordan asked him to help her create the master morpher. I think he had something to do with it because you remember who built the first power Coy’s ninja war on the ancient dinosaurs and gave them to Zordan an alpha because how wicked up plans to his temple be in the command center and I think ninja war planted them there and gave them to Zoran and that’s where Haley went back to get some residual energy because she had a green ranger, crystal or white ranger, crystal and another white ranger Crystal and a red crystal that had a star on top and she went to turbo and got the turbo red ranger powers and added it to the morpher because it that one could be an Easter egg where we don’t see him use it but it could still be in there because it’s hit Tommy’s power and everything and it’s his master morpher. It would be kind of awkward to just have Dino thunder, black, green, white and Zeo read powers in the morpher, and I think that turbo is a part of the master morpher. It’s just that Billy couldn’t of made the master morpher and how would Billy give it to him? Is he created it for Tommy? How would he give it to him because Billy was busy building Christian tech at that time because you know and wanted always I know they said it back to the angel Grove you see that’s what happened. Billy came back to Angel Grove to say Cranston tech up to build a new command center there and that’s where he tampered with Making Power, Coins, proximity power coins that look like the tea, Rex and the pterodactyl powered coin for cat and everything and how would he be able to make six power coins for a master morpher and where would he get the powers of Dino thunder black and turbo? This is just a theory and I think I’m dead on it not entirely sure I’m just terrorizing that Haley from Dino thunder created. She was a genius to and she had help from ninja war because she had that remote like where’s the colonies had she could’ve called him and got one of those remote said she’s got a great idea to build this you know to build a new morpher for Tommy and give them back some of his powers, edit and turbo could’ve been in it and they just didn’t want him to use that in dimensions in danger and one last thing and how would he know where Tommy lives? The only person I can think of is Haley she could’ve built it and went back in time and stuff like Wesley Collins was doing and everything because she’s the only one that would know where he lived. How old would Billy know where he lived to give him the new Power and morpher
