Well, I’m not coveting that Ocean Paper Co palette at all. I’m not! I’m not! I’m not! 😂
Those little cards are absolutely darling and I CAN’T WAIT to get to the mark making! (I need help in that department…) That corner punch is a game changer for sure.
Have you ever seen those videos where people walk by random strangers and give them a kind note? These would be perfect for that! Maybe a write-on sticker/label. What a fun project to do with the grandkids. 🙌🏼 They could write a bunch of kindness notes and stick them on their art cards. Plus… keep them in a tin. How fun! 🤩 🎉

Your cards are absolutely inspiring with all those beautiful colors. The Stoneground gouache and the Ocean Paper watercolor are stunning, but very high priced, almost $1.000 for both sets, my goodness. Anyway it was delightful to watch. Thank you for sharing.

I love this idea with the wooden palette. The problem is that there is so many colours. I am really envyous of your location, you seem to have the best art store in your town, I live in a small town on the countryside in Sweden, no art store here, so I have to order everything on line. That is a big problem for me, the coulour charts they show do not make the colour justice., so to see somenone else swatching is really good for me at leat. The paint stones from Beam paint is fantastic, thank you for swatching them. At this moment too expensive for me. I´m gonna get them for sure later on, just visited their home page and saw the full set. My gosh. Im in no way missing any colours at the moment so I´m fine with them. Have a good weekend! Love. Katarina in Sweden

Thanks for sharing Katarina! Beam paints had a really good sale a few months ago (black friday I believe)... so if you can hold off, hopefully you can get a discounted price on a future sale with them. Or start with just a few of your favourite colours.

A big problem for me like another subscribers, I live in France in a small /medium town with zero art store in the center and nothing good around for artists. Very hard and expensive to buy beautiful art things on line, because of terrible high prices with shipping. You are lucky ;-) and your art is gorgeous ! A dream. Thank you and love.

yes, that would make it really hard to watch the videos when access to supplies is so limited, or if on a budget. Although it can be pretty fun and challenging to use a limited palette/limited supplies.... When I started, I was painting on cereal boxes with dollarstore paints! There are some great you-tubers out there that focus on inexpensive creating.:) I appreciate you watching , and your insights, and encouragement, Sylvie.

You might really like Daniel Smith Sugilite for a neutral. It’s like a dusty muted lilac that shimmers. It rewets much better than DS Bronzite and DS Burnt Bronzite.

Glad to share ideas anytime! I've been watching your videos and enjoy your easy come-easy go attitude, that unedited, girlnextdoor way you have. Maybe it's an Alberta thing, ha ha. I'm "down here" in Lethbridge, nodding and knowing about our artist way of life. It's great to find another Albertan making abstracts with abandon! I paint in acrylics mostly, with a fairly "heavy-handed" approach - to me, every piece (of mine) must cover the entire page or it's not done, hah! I wonder if you have ever seen Marie Manon's work? She's an abstract artist living in Calgary and has a few vids on UA-cam. I paint a bit like her, although my style is forever evolving! I'll be watching your vids just for the "company" while I paint, they are nice and loooonng!

lol I wonder if there is a paint palette big enough that you would be able to swatch all your favourite water colours on? I know for me they certainly wouldn’t be. I’m constantly discovering new colours that I fall in love with a love your collection. thank you so much for sharing
