As I read the video's title I had flashbacks of the heater core replacement I did in the winter of 2014 in an unheated garage. Reading "Jeep Liberty" gives me goosebumps now. :) Polaris did plastic impellers, too, in the RZR 800 from 2008-2014 if I remember correctly.
+motoYam82 For my Lotus Twincam engine in my Europa, the engine needs to be removed in order to change the water pump. Some owners cheat by cutting the firewall behind the seat and removing and installing a new water pump through the hole they cut.
Ivan, try a VW Passat, same thing, I'm not a VW guy but a local garage wanted 12 hrs to take the nose of the car off, the bumper, the saddle for the radiator and a hour to change the pump put the timing chain back together. I did it myself and charge half the labor !
My in-laws 2005 Jeep has an overheating problem, changed out almost the entire cooling system, along with a new fan. The new fan worked for 10 minutes and stopped. We threw in the hat at that time (well they did, I am stuck in Afghanistan) so I asked them to take into a shop so they could stop throwing parts at it. Shop says its the fan, charges them over 350 (part and labor). Two days later, the Liberty is still over heating! Now the shop has the Jeep again and will be checking the cooling system for a blockage somewhere. Initially when my in-laws borrowed the Jeep to a gal from church it was fine, no issues, then the fan went out, and the gal ran it hot, but she never told them how long so the last thing I am thinking is bad head gaskets but I thought for sure it would be leaking coolant someplace, talk about frustrating! Great video by the way and finally some break cleaner!
My son just got a dodge Dakota with a leaky water pump given to him for a graduation gift. I am retired mechanic who has worked on most cars but the 3.7. Now I have a good grasp on what to order and help him do! ( He needs to learn! )
Hi Eric,Great video and if I might say very quick and accurate diagnostic very professional job.You work good under pressure I mean with the customer watching.Wow what a review from you customer:-) You didn't have to give him a discount for the vid did you .Lol Hope all is Ok keep busy..
This is absolutely the best auto repair channel on youtube. Eric, you are great at diagnosing everything that comes thru the door. It's great to watch a skilled honest mechanic. I found your channel a week ago and have watched at least 20 videos already. I did get in trouble with the wife though....."Why are you watching a video on fixing a rav4? We don't even own a rav4!!! You need to be watching a video on how to fix my squeaking brake!" lol
Another thumbs up video! Regarding brake cleaners, I have found that the Wearever is more than twice as effective as CRC. Learned this from a brake job last weekend. Was cleaning brand new Mopar OEM rear rotors with CRC and went through a whole can and did not fully clean off one side of one new rotor. Pulled a can of Wearever and one quarter of a can cleaned that first rotor AND the second new rotor. CRC brake cleaner never again.
Nice job Eric. He was lucky not to blow the head gasket. Nice access to the pump. I once did a water pump on a Merc Vito (transverse engine) 6 hours!! I am only a shady tree guy. Thanks for sharing, I always learn something. Hitting it back on with a hammer would get you home if you were somewhere remote, so valuable lesson.
Great video. I remember thinking that is was a pretty good video, and then the ending was the kicker!!!! A lawyer sitting there watching you fix his car. How great is that. As soon as the guy started talking I could actually tell he wasn't a real person. It would be fun to have him watch while you do one of those no start-no-crank-no-codes-no-gas-full-aftermarket-total-rust-fiascos. Add a lawyer to that mix, Eric, and you wouldn't need that magnetic induction heater, rather you could heat bolts using spontaneous human combustion.
+Memphis Applegate Hahaha I can send a lawyer down you way to hang out in the shop if you like? He I liked that tool box you made FYI. I wish the stain didn't get all blotchy on ya though. I kinda liked it when it was all stained my self. I can always use more storage here. One thing we always need for sure.
Easy money water pump. NEVER let the owner watch that close! Show the sign about the insurance requirement that they stay in the waiting room! ALL WATER PUMPS SHOULD BE LIKE THAT! GREAT VIDEO! Keep up the good work!
I'm 32, in I'm still driving my jeep liberty, that I got my learners permit in when I was 15. Still has the stock engine in trans. No major issues yet. 231750 miles
Same year model. Jeep blows cold air when trying to use the heater. Added some coolant and Vala , heat again. 245,000. Miles. Not sure if the pump is going. Thanks for the video. Looks easy enough to replace the pump. 👍🏼
+Noman Jones (tiredofthed) Haha nah it's ok my customers are always in the shop, along with the dog and the children, we are pretty laid back here. I got nothing to hide. Not and expert, not perfect either...
Not where I live (Oz) Stealerships charge $Au150-190 /hour....($120 -150 US). I do most of my obligatory BM Troubleyou bullshit myself at those rates, with the help of YT vids of course.
7:15 Classic! " I think I know what this needs, clank, clank" all fixed. That was hysterical! I thought to replace the water pump you would have to take off the upper valve covers the lower part of the engine and then loosen some bolts internally to pull it out. You just took a lot of potential future fear out of my soul! Grateful...
Worst plastic water pump story I ever had: 3.5L Intrepid. Car overheated when idling, No issues when driving at speed. I even drove the car 2 hours on the freeway home. Had a brand new water pump, I went through everything on diagnosing the thing. Finally pulled the heads and found the plastic water pump impeller parts (the old one) plugging up the coolant flow entering the drivers side head. Flushed the block out for like an hour with the heads off and was good to go.
Excellent job of producing your videos Eric! You definitely are gifted with the commentary and humour, it flows with no apparent effort on your behalf. The mechanical intuition and skills are impressive. Never miss an episode, educational and fun, a rare commodity, keep it up!
It's unbelievable nowadays the engine parts that companies make out of plastic. Plastic for God's sake! I watched a video from donnyboy73 the small engine doctor. He pulled apart a brand-name snow blower that had a stripped plastic gear in the engine! That puts a whole new spin on the saying "they sure don't make them like they used to".
Yep, my 8 year old Craftsman YT4000 lawn tractor died a young death thanks to Briggs & Stratton trying to save a couple pennies by using plastic inside the engine. Briggs and Stratton used to be one of the best now I think they're one of the worst.
@Bobby Brady Anything installed in aircraft, plastic or otherwise has to undergo a rigid certification process and have the FAA's seal of approval before it can (legally) be used. However when it comes to vehicles and other consumer products, manufacturers can use the absolute cheapest garbage plastic and get away with it. Therein lies the difference!
@Bobby Brady Having the components of the water pump splined together rather than just a simple press-fit, would have certainly prevented the problem happening in the first place. Modern plastics do indeed have great potentential and can be amazingly strong in addition to lasting forever. However, the bean-counters are still going to opt for the cheapest of them that's just adequate enough to last a little while.
I really like the way Eric uses torque limited tools for delicate parts - and his use of a torque wrench is one of the things which set him apart from the gorillas who just pneumatic impact everything apart and back together. Can't say I was impressed by the impeller. Goodness, my Chrysler mini-van's water pump is beefier, and it's not exactly the most solid pump I've ever seen. I think Jeep is off my 4W list for our next one.
Ahhh! I loved it when the BFH came out! one way to fix it! Oh sure wouldn't do a live video with me there getting the Duramax fixed. That would have been REALLY awkward! haha!
Thanks for the video, Eric. Our 2007 Jeep GC 3.7 liter engine is overheating (gauge), transmission overheating (indicator light). I let it cool, checked overflow (down to ADD line), checked radiator (water in the offset full tube). I was thinking thermostat, but your video makes me think water pump...
+SATAMAN Schmidt Nah the Liberty never retailed for that much. It was more like a $25,000 car. Plus, it's a Chrysler product. The bean counters cut costs wherever they can.
+SATAMAN Schmidt I think you said something really significant. In a much bigger picture that is the direction the whole world is heading. Make all the profit you can today and screw tomorrow.
+SATAMAN Schmidt Your 100% correct. Not only that, it is a Jeep, go anywhere, it just may not come back! It is no coincidence that in remote places around the work everyone drives Land Cruisers, their parts aren't cheap but boy are they well made.
Not that the metal housing part is a casting .... LOL .... the only posible explanations is that is made on purpose ... I wouldnt buy any product from them. Same as Samsung placing caps CLOSE to the heatsinks to dry them quickly. You CANT tell that this was a mistake. Not for a manufacturer of this level.
Another wonderful example of making a car to a price point and weight limit. Plastic impeller in a very hot environment is foolish. But then again how would the Dealerships (stealerships) stay busy. Great fix Eric, I'm sure this will help many people who will undoubtedly have the same issues with their Jeep. Will save people a lot of time.. Take Care..
How did you check for blown head gasket ? Why are manufacturers so enamored in placing polymer parts in vital areas of an engine ? Plastic by its nature is going to stretch and weaken after time and the strength is not fantastic.Coupling metal and plastic is another area of concern especially over an extended temperature range.Fast diagnosis and fast repair.
Gotta build failure points in there somewhere in areas that require several hours of labor just to get to the part that is broke. If the engineers had to actually work on the nightmares that them and the designers and accountant's blessed off on they'd really change the way things are built. I believe the designers, engineers, and accountants should be required to have hands on shop time on their nightmare's before they are put into production.
My first truck as a young guy, a '59 Ford with a Y block. It developed an overheating problem. I didn't know much at that time but in desperation I pulled off the water pump. The impeller was bakelite, broken and freewheeling on the shaft.
Hhahaha, you should do a reality show. Good job in finding the bad impeller. The customer was very smart not to overheat that engine. they blow head gaskets and drop valve seats when to hot.
Man oh man, seeing that overheating Liberty immediately brings me to my Jeep I've got to get fixed. -- It's sitting at my sister's place. It's the Via Motori diesel version. Love it, but it's got it's quirks. It overheated on the freeway and melted a piston and cracked a bit between and intake and exhaust on the head. Since I got it all apart, I'm going to delete the EGR and upgrade the plugs...just have to wait for a few more parts to come in. Thanks to you guys @southmainauto, I was able to get a Suby on the cheap to get me through the winter. -- I did the head gasket with your videos' help. Honestly, I really appreciate what you're doing, and next time I'm in the Rochester area visiting my brother, maybe I could come by and say hi.
and not even a very good old jeep. should have gotten a 4 liter cherokee xj. love my 99 cherokee. the liberty is one of the single worst redesigns ever, jeep should have kept the xj.
Haaa! I thought that you looked a bit nervous, and a little more, ahhhh well, a lot more professional, than usual!! Who knew! Being monitored by a lawyer!!! Musta been rough!! I wondered why you used the WHOLE CAN OF BRAKE CLEAN!!! Had to justify the $6.00 shop supplies charges!! wink wink. You should post a sign describing the shop labor rate! $65/hour. If you watch, $75/hour. If you help, $85/hour. If you worked on it first, $125/hour!! If I have to explain ANYTHING TO YOU, while I work, THERE'S THE DOOR!!! --->>
+TookErrrJerbs Whenever I get a new car, I'll have to add that to the list of plastic parts to avoid - plastic intake manifold, plastic impeller, anything else?
+TookErrrJerbs I don't think plastic intake manifolds or valve covers are as bad as a water pump impeller. Seriously when the pump fails like that most people would be up for a new engine, or a full rebuild, luckily for this Jeep it had an attentive driver at the wheel. How much money would Jeep even save on using plastic impeller, $1, $2?
I like the use of air and battery powered tools. Nice torque wrench. Your the Man Eric! I just acquired on 04 Liberty, checking out some videos, as always, nice job!
thanks Eric.....I just replaced one yesterday.....was easy and enjoyable.....not something I say about auto repairs often......the system is 14 qt cap. but only 7.5 qt drains out....not a problem as long as you use full strenght anti-freeze......Did not have to bleed system other than running the engine to warm up.....well thanks again...bob

+punker6506 Haha nah it's ok my customers are always in the shop, along with the dog and the children, we are pretty laid back here. I got nothing to hide. Not and expert, not perfect either...
Long ago I did that with the technician during a repair on my TV set. I was very curious to see inside and the guy work. Keep asking things all over the place. Then, you realize that is a bit annoying, because the guy need to work and you are distracting him. I mean, people just want to see how the car is fixed or made them curious ...
I've learned several things by watching my mechanic, things that I never returned to his shop to pay him for because I knew how to do them. like breaking the screws loose that hold the brake rotors on and pressing out and in a ball joint.
My issue is I am the tech that fixes my own vehicles, but there is an annual "safety" inspection in the state where I currently live... The dumb part is they are done by private shops not state run facilities that exclusively do that... Shops that have an incentive to sell you something, so yes I watch them like a hawk because finding an honest one is near impossible.
Failed waterpump? That was way too easy. What's happening up there? Has the weather been too good? Has rust finally gone to sleep? That sledgehammer is going to collect cob webs.
I think Eric subscribed to Scotty's channel about 20 times during this vid, Ring that bell. Funny how all people are commenting on the plastic component but it was a metal to metal failure, the plastic part was fully intact, definitely just as many failures with all metal pumps as well.
Good diagnosis. Before pulling the pump always verify the system isn't just air locked by pulling the bleed plug. I've had a few Jeeps that wouldn't circulate after the coolant ran low and will give the same symptoms.
I recently changed the water pump on one of these 3/7 Liberties and I just thought I'd point out that my shop chose to go with ordering a felpro o-ring gasket along with the new pump. In comparison to that black rubber gasket that comes with the pump, you can clearly see the difference in the quality. The felpro was definitely better quality. Also, a good tip to point out: if you want to save yourself some headaches and some confusion as to why this engine keeps registering high temp after you did the water pump, it's because when you fill the radiator with cool coolant that lower radiator hose thermostat will never open because the engine block has no coolant in it. So a quick little trick is to pull out that bleeder hex screw that's on the upper radiator hose and use that hole and a small funnel and you can pour almost all whole gallon of coolant directly into the engine block there. This takes a whole lot of time out of trying to bleed air bubbles out of the system. 😎
Hope you have the Liar (oops Lawyer) sign a waiver for being in the shop. If it was my shop I would have told him that it is against company policy for customers to be in the shop.
@Bobby Brady unfortunately you're right. Most novices (in any profession) are nervous being watched, but most veterans I've run across have nothing to hide and are proud of their work. The added dimension to letting the customer watch is that they now understand why the job took longer etc.
You Got Mad Skillz! Thanks for sharing this. I would never have thought about the water pumps plastic parts. Now when i come across a Chrysler/Dodge/El-Cheapo part. I'm going to remember this video and chuckle a bit.

A plastic impeller on a water pump?!? This is why I don't own anything new! They keep you in business though and I'm glad for that.
Hats off to Frank for sending Eric an awesome hat 👍👍👍 oh yeah - Eric well done !!!!
+Steve Rob Hah yes in deed... hey some Canadian gave me some sweet stickers too....
That's fantastic, you must be a special guy and I bet the boss lady was thrilled to get one too :)
Oh wait ... she gets one too!? I kept them both... the may or may not be in the back ground of a video coming out...
That sounds like a bit pregnant LOL
Bowtie till I die!!
+jimthecarguy Discount? Are you speaking a foreign language Jim haha... I don't understand
+Sandbag1300 Oh man you should have asked, CRC is total weaksause!
"Anyone pay attention to where the long bolts came out of?" - Eric O is all of us
Nice job Eric.
Haha, I love the dramatic music when you pull out the break clean xD haha, priceless
Nothing like a fresh cup of coffee and a south main auto video with a lawyer watching you ….
I don't think you think the word 'in' means what it really means.
@-TheManInDboX - A 167k lifespan composed of (what I'm guessing is) primarily highway miles in such a short period of time is... good?
3.7 and 42rle is a good powertrain
ryan watts not even near as good compared to the 4.0 i6 Jeep had.
Same year model. Jeep blows cold air when trying to use the heater. Added some coolant and Vala , heat again. 245,000. Miles. Not sure if the pump is going. Thanks for the video. Looks easy enough to replace the pump. 👍🏼
$65.00 Per Hour, $125.00 if the customer watches, $200.00 per hour if customer helps, that's the way I charge.
+Noman Jones (tiredofthed) Haha nah it's ok my customers are always in the shop, along with the dog and the children, we are pretty laid back here. I got nothing to hide. Not and expert, not perfect either...
Wish I had a shop like yours in my area, your shop is about a 7 hour drive from Southern NH,might be worth it:)
Not where I live (Oz) Stealerships charge $Au150-190 /hour....($120 -150 US). I do most of my obligatory BM Troubleyou bullshit myself at those rates, with the help of YT vids of course.
Noman Jones
Your an idiot.
Richard Fernandez You're an idiot for not knowing the difference between your and you're.
Grateful...
Worst plastic water pump story I ever had:
3.5L Intrepid.
+m ph Wow that is nuts!
Classic SMA! Repairing my own 2007 Jeep Liberty is what brought me to find your channel. 😎👍
Eric Ooooo.... that was an adkward ending, you handled it like a CHAMP. Great video brother...
That unrehearsed, unscripted testament to South Main Auto's high quality work and customer satisfaction must have been a nice surprise, Eric!
Every time you hear a ding.....take a shot!!!!
Would be funny to see Eric like that, all over that jeep.
"ding"
FIGHT'S ON!
Excellent job of producing your videos Eric!
You definitely are gifted with the commentary and humour, it flows with no apparent effort on your behalf.
The mechanical intuition and skills are impressive. Never miss an episode, educational and fun, a rare commodity, keep it up!
+G Watson Thanks G, glad you enjoy!
@@DADSGARAGE-ip7th I would agree, definitely a mitigating factor!
That would have been REALLY awkward! haha!
+The Disgruntled Mechanic Haha next time the chevy leaves ya walking call me haha
A $45,000 car and they couldn't find a spare $0.25 to use a die cast impeller to prevent a potentially catastrophic engine failure. Nice.
Edward Koepke Mine still has the original water pump. 03' Liberty, 158,000.
Take Care..
+ItsAlwaysRusty I hope it does help out someone :)
I does seem ironic your first fix with your new Chevy hat is a Jeep...
Wow, a customer watching - a lawyer customer at that! That would scare me to death. Great job as usual Eric.
+Tom OConnor The public demands cheap/disposable products.
+Tom OConnor This is how I test ua-cam.com/video/U0DdVQoBu4U/v-deo.html
Very easy test to do and very accurate.
Plastic doesn't corrode like some metal impellers. We don't know in this case if the plastic failed or the method of securing from spinning it failed.
Well done under pressure, with a super endorsement from a satisfied customer as usual.
+Dennis Wilkinson he is a friend too ;)
gotta love the waiters! lol!! good job as always Eric!
And also can crack the head (s)
+Rodrigo Sagebin Stop in we will be there!
Luckily he's a bad lawyer if he can only afford an old Jeep lol!! haha, Great video :D.
Maybe just an honest one.
Terry Waters No such thing.
and not even a very good old jeep. should have gotten a 4 liter cherokee xj. love my 99 cherokee.
the liberty is one of the single worst redesigns ever, jeep should have kept the xj.
I've never seen anyone rapid-fire empty a can of Brake Cleaner like that before. 5 stars! :)
Nice job! I always hated these Jeeps.
I am sure he can tell you're an honest and excellent mechanic
Good to rep the brands that keep you in business, right? ;-)
The customer made it hilarious ... I love watching this channel
Eric should definetly charge more per hour when a customer is watching him....
No mechanic would torque all bolts to spec, then check them again, plus poor new coolant in the engine. Eric O seems like he is a God.
Plastic water pump impeller, what a joke.
+TookErrrJerbs Whenever I get a new car, I'll have to add that to the list of plastic parts to avoid - plastic intake manifold, plastic impeller, anything else?
+brian0918 good idea
+brian0918 Plastic valve covers
+TookErrrJerbs I don't think plastic intake manifolds or valve covers are as bad as a water pump impeller. Seriously when the pump fails like that most people would be up for a new engine, or a full rebuild, luckily for this Jeep it had an attentive driver at the wheel. How much money would Jeep even save on using plastic impeller, $1, $2?
+TookErrrJerbs I think plastic pistons are the worst.
I like the use of air and battery powered tools. Nice torque wrench. Your the Man Eric! I just acquired on 04 Liberty, checking out some videos, as always, nice job!
it feels that you somehow know the customer
I'm thinking that he is Mrs. O's brother.
thanks Eric.....I just replaced one yesterday.....was easy and enjoyable.....not something I say about auto repairs often......the system is 14 qt cap. but only 7.5 qt drains out....not a problem as long as you use full strenght anti-freeze......Did not have to bleed system other than running the engine to warm up.....well thanks again...bob
I HATE it when the customer watches. makes me so nervous i turn into a bumbling fool. Then that makes me even more nervous because i'm looking like an idiot. Just go sit in the waiting area and watch some tv sheesh
You hang a sign that says "Employees only beyond this point."
I guess lawyer jokes that end with, "that's a good start" would b inappropriate. Very informing as usual, and entertaining as well. Thanx!!
Failed waterpump? That was way too easy. What's happening up there? Has the weather been too good? Has rust finally gone to sleep? That sledgehammer is going to collect cob webs.
+Garth Goldberg Don't you worry sir wait until you see the exhaust manifold video on the ford V-10... oh wait did I just let the cat out of the bag!?
Rusty exhaust manifold? 10 cylinders? That sounds good.
Rusty is not even the word for it sir... rotted is more like it, it involves a minor burn and a small swear word too... ohhh the drama
+South Main Auto Repair uh oh can't wait!
I think Eric subscribed to Scotty's channel about 20 times during this vid, Ring that bell.
Funny how all people are commenting on the plastic component but it was a metal to metal failure, the plastic part was fully intact, definitely just as many failures with all metal pumps as well.
'There's your problem right there!!!'
I watch for the content and the laughs and you never fail🤣🤣 old vid but one of my new favourites… keep em coming Eric o 👍👍
Lawyer.. Make sure he signed a release form before you put up the video! You can't be to careful these days...
+Claude “Reviews4U” Rains Lol I think I am ok haha
Good diagnosis.
Before pulling the pump always verify the system isn't just air locked by pulling the bleed plug. I've had a few Jeeps that wouldn't circulate after the coolant ran low and will give the same symptoms.
Magnetic tray on a plastic cover ! LOL !!
+theoldwizard998 Ahhh that is why it didn't work...
+Upallnight I don't think Eric is intimidated by any customer. LOL
+raykrv6a Your right, customers are out on the stools and in the chairs all the time.
Any Chrysler engine that ends in 7 is garbage (aside from the Hemi)
+Joe DeSalvo That's a good one !
+Joe DeSalvo MY 97 NEON IS KRAP- THE ENGINE SUCKS- THEY LEAK JUST SPENT 350 ON A CAT CONVERTER AND 100 ON BALL JOINTS ON FRONT WHEELS
CHRYSLER, DODGE, JEEP SUCKS SHIT-- JUST LIKE FORD SUCKS
+Joe DeSalvo THE NEW FORD TRUCKS SUCK TOO ALUMINNUM- KRAP FRAME SHIT
A plastic impeller on a water pump?!? This is why I don't own anything new! They keep you in business though and I'm glad for that. I was recently concerned when I found out that my 94 V-8 Ranger project was factory equipped with phenolic...a.k.a. plastic pistons in the brake calipers! I was planning some big brakes for him anyway, but, that discovery was a BIG surprise!
This job wouldn't be complete without spraying the alternator in brake clean
+SilentServiceCode Haha I try!
In closing if i can do it ,You can do it, But than if i really could do it, why would i let you do it, Doing it Right comes to mind !!! Your 1st class, Love the Imfo !!
Yeah, lose the Chev hat Eric...
+Audioquest56 Especially since he wouldn't wear that awesome Ford hat from the first (I think) "Day in the Shop" video...lolz.
Great video, as always. I've recently tackled a Liberty water pump and it was a nice surprise after having to replace a Honda Accords just 2 months earlier.
+T Justmetmc Oh yeah they are gravy
@@SouthMainAuto My 2005 jeep 3.7 overheats but I do have heat.

Jeep LIberty: An over-glorified and cheaply built Fiat with "Jeep" stamped on it's forehead.
What part of the liberty is fiat?
@@gokblok - Everything except the "Jeep" badge. Fiat owns Chrysler. The Liberty was designed and built after Fiat bought Chrysler from Mercedes. The Jeep Liberty is a pile of schitt.
@@robertgantry2118 I agree that the liberty is awful--but it's not a fiat. That merger didn't happen until 2014. That 3.7 is a baby version of the 4.7 in the Rams, designed when they were still DaimlerChrysler.
The Renegade is for sure a Fiat lump of shit. As well as the Cherokee.
@@gokblok - OK, you win that part. But the thing is a piece of garbage none the less.
Master mechanic great job to map out the problem sometimes with your mind and skills
Eric, I figured you would have no problem with someone watching. I'm sure you get a kick out of it like I do. I always want someone to watch so I can show off/carry on. A lot of mechanics go crazy if someone watches. It's a man thing. They get real nervous and sweat starts rolling down their head. Run when you see someone doesn't like being watched. I wouldn't let anyone touch my car without watching unless it was Eric!
I think you done very well considering you had one person watching you instead of the thousands and thousands that watch you every day.....great vid,,,thankyou for taking the time to make, edit, upload and share..It takes ages but its worth it for us anyway)
+Tosh twentythree (tosh 23) Thanks for watching!
another great video..i work in apartments all day fixing everything and anything for tenants and after 15 years I still get annoyed when there looking over my shoulder.

Hi we really enjoy watching your videos you are real and honest. And a little comedic keep up the good work thank you
ty 4 d video. ... .. finally got overheating solved. .. the sorry excuse for a mechanic b4 me inserted thermostat wrong (corrected thanks to another video ) left piece of old water pump behind new water pump. . Back in the 70's Mercury Marine started using plastic more n more. When I was at service school I remarked about the cheap plastic parts. The instructor told me in no uncertain terms that the "correct" term was ... Anti- corrosive material!!
It's still just a Jeep Want-a-be Liberty.
Awesome video and teaching all in one
I know this is old, but I really liked the surprise at the end. I could see you were fumbling a little bit, but I had no idea why until... :) DO more of these!
That's pretty awesome you used the oem moper coolant, most shops use the cheap stuff because they don't care and its cheaper great work
I had a grand cherokee come in over for heating. Customer stated he changed thermostat in it.He had it in back wards. Easier to do than you think.
