- This might be one of the worst HOI4 games Tommy has ever played and if he doesn't uninstall during this one, he never will.
It's time to experience the main country in By Blood Alone, the new HOI4 DLC, Italy BUT it's gonna be all about getting all Italy achievements because the most monkey HOI4 series is back, YES HOI4 100% ACHIEVEMENT SERIES IS HERE!
So Italy got a brand new rework and Tommy is playing it for the first time.
Depending on what path you go, monarchist, communist or whatever, Italy can be REALLY strong.
Armed with knowledge in the new air rework and knowing most of the new features that came with Hearts of Iron 4 By Blood Alone, Tommy is reading to take on the new Italy in HOI4!
But remember, here on the TommyKay channel we got something called achievements and this new Italy game will be the continuation of the HOI4 100% Achievement Series.
So get ready for some major insanity and watch as Tommy loses his mind in this Hearts of Iron 4 game.

Italy requires so much national focus attention and compliance enforcement for Ethiopia that i feel like my early game units suffer in terms of armaments
You can always puppet Ethiopia or establish the AOI.
You can just get the f out of there by using the decision and save a bunch of time and ressources. Owning Ethiopia doesn't even give you that much even after you fully develop it.
@@xxCreeperPLxx you need to fully control ethiopian states for that though, which takes a very long while to do because you technically remain at war with ethiopia even after you cap them

Paradox shill spotted. Exact same comments all over reddit. The patch does not fix the integral issue which is that the AI makes brain dead decisions when doing peace deals - whether it be majors or minors. Yes, they made it so minors are less likely to make border gore but major AI nations will still always ruin the conference. Aside from that, constant issues highlighted in this video have been frustrations for years. Countries randomly joining wars/factions. AI puppeting countries across the world. Tiny nations becoming majors which artificially prolongs wars. These are the issues that players have been demanding a fix for in order to save the game.
Additionally this DLC in particular has ruined immersion. Britain will abandon all democratic tradition and ignore 8 levels of Ethiopian war escalation if Italy does the Stresa Front focus and they will happily kill Ethiopia without asking twice. Ruined my Ethiopia game for no reason. There is no way to expand the African faction as Ethiopia if Britain has decolonised. So you have a situation where you have independent African nations not able to join your African independent nations faction (this also locks your focus tree). The world situation can be such that Switzerland's focus tree ends in 1940 because you will be locked out of focuses. It's baffling how Paradox continues to produce and fails to update this content

I recently just finished my playthrough of Italy and restored Rome as the Pope and got myself a few of the new achievements, honestly such a fun experience, was originally only doing it for the taking Austria achievement but found that you needed to play until 1945 and just got carried away. Can 100% recommend the Pope tree.
Its the only fun part, but still kind of trash

I had a peace conference for myself, and the funny thing is, I ended up not having enough points to annex everything what I wanted to annex.
Since passing doesn't give points anymore I had to click done and ended up having UK still existing even tho I wanted to annex everything...
The new peace conference is ass.
Peace conferences will inherently never be good. No matter what is done something will be exploited or broken

@@quoras1887 I played democratic independent India fighting with the Allies, I help the pacific front, inflicting the most casualties on the Japanese (1 mil) out of any country, and help invade/capitulate them on the mainland with the USA. After the peace deal I end up with only Palau, and Korean puppet. Trash
Having done all new achievements, watching tommy slowly realize the things that I, too, had to realize myself the hard way is really entertaining XD

@@williamknows3908 disband thé blackshirts gives you additional décision, and the basic pope increasing one has one year cooldown, pulling out of Ethiopia gives you huge speed advantage when it comes to getting rid of Mussolini

Honestly, when Tommy gets THIS upset, I understand why he doesn’t finish. I’d do the same with any game out there. Heck sometimes I have to restrain myself from hitting my keyboard or monitor(I never have actually done so).
I've actually had the mishap of getting pissed off enough to close my laptop too hard that I broke the inner screen... it wasn't on hoi4 but I felt so bad telling my grandmother I broke it since it was a gift from her. I spent months doing work for her to repay the price she spent on getting the computer fixed.

Most likely because of the Italian air modifiers and his planes aren’t central in the region
@@EndoClaw If you look at the timestamp you can see that most of the planes (1200) are infact launched from the same region, which is still red.
Also modifiers should not have an impact to such a degree that old Greece planes outperform 1:3 higher tech italian planes

I never understood the hate behind paradox incorporating mod ideas. Like, you wanted the feature in the game, that's why you downloaded the mod, why is it a problem that they added it to the game? Maybe the problem is compensation

Why should we pay for features that a modder basically gave us for free and did it in his own free time and probably didnt even get any compensation from Paradox lol?

The problem with Papal Italy is as soon as the Pope dies you go back to the Italian royal family for literally no reason.
Still the Papal States, but now you have a king. Paradox didn't expect anyone to play as the Pope long enough, I guess.

I want to get back into HOI4 but post NSB I just have no idea how you are supposed to afford everything. You need absurd amounts of civs to get supply, pp for advisors, and now exp and they made it harder to get
