Just started playing whm 4 days ago, I've been going through the dungeons mainly with npc's just to get used to the job without being told off 😂 so far none have died and I know npc's are crappy so I can't be doing too bad! Level 40 now and as I start to get more skills I realise how much more focused you need to be in dungeons (having to use esuna for debuffs, whilst healing, whilst dpsing etc) I main summoner so I'm used to ressing people and slide casting so I think this will be a nice fit for me, long story aside, thanks for this video it is very detailed and I think it will definitely help me with my journey to becoming a decent whm! Keep them coming!

I've been playing with keyboard and MMO mouse since ARR (really, I've been using an MMO mouse since MoP in WoW...) and I'm tired of MMO mice dying on me after my 2013 naga's scroll wheel gave out. I tried buying a gamepad like the Razer Orbweaver and while I liked the ergonomics, it really wasn't any different from a keyboard if I wasn't going to use the dpad to turn, and it's preeeetty bad at movement in FFXIV. So I'm trying to learn gamepad and it's such a different way to think about the game that I'm kinda dying. But, thanks for putting so much into the video. I'll run some trusts and try to internalize it. I know you're having a blast with New World now but some of us XIV fans still like you. (If Dawntrail doesn't have a Eureka/Bozja I'm going to uninstall this piece of-)

I just wanted to know where to put the buttons. FF14 should provide a basic layout with all the skills by default, or give us a few pre made options to just be able to hop in. Following your layout was hard and with all the explaining in between took ages when I put it on 0,5 speed. But thanks, appreciate the layout.
Love these controller guides. Thank you for starting up the Endwalker guides. Also just hit lvl 30 WHM so this is perfect timing. That movement macro is cool but can you explain why you have the mount/ followed by ac/ flying mount roulette? I got a “flying mount roulette” is an invalid action name error when I include that (found this by removing the merror line. I also get the same “Unable to use. You are currently using that item” alert that you get. And I can’t figure out what that’s about.
Thanks oh yeah, excellent question... the answer is because I was lazy and in the new zones I haven't unlocked the mount speed increase and my bike is just faster then my other mounts. I did that so that once I have the mount speed unlocked, I can delete that line

It's probably been said by now, but raise paired with swiftcast is another option. For me the cast time is a bigger issue than the mp cost.
May have missed it somewhere but I don’t see the raise macro explained or set up on the list at all.
you can drag and drop skill to any controller hot bar if you switch it to the main hotbar

Yes, because the macros will setup the lower level abilities for you, and the abilities you don’t have you just won’t be able to use them
If you are using a gamepad controller how are you moving your curser so good?
I'm on PC so I also have access to a mouse which I use in guides to help point at things.

As of right now, Cure 3 gets overwritten. It needs to be changed to RDD - it's currently RDU.
