Thomas, you should deffo do a video of 'your story' and lay out where you were pre cycling and the changes you've gone through to get to where you are now. So many men/lads/teens are struggling with MH, so any positive role models they can see on YT is a plus. I have no doubt it would be one of your most popular videos if you did it.
Yes it’s definitely something I’ve been thinking about… I’m just waiting for the right time when I feel ready to do so… but I’m starting to realise that it could be something I can do to make a difference! 🙏🙏🙏
Chris showing proper riding safety by talking BUT eyes up the road. Ive been doing bunch rides since 1996 and lost count how many nasty crashes happened because people start looking around vs eyes on the road.
Great video….talking about mental health isn’t preaching at all.People like to hear other peoples stories and it’s good to know they share common struggles..Keep em coming brother 😊
Thanks for sharing your story Thomas, big up yourself. Cycling, talking, and watching people cycling and talking about it always helps. Have a blessed day 🙏🏼❤️💛💚
Hi Thomas - just a note to express how much I am enjoying the channel - well presented and in good humour - you succeed in encouraging your viewership to get out more and enjoy the great things that cycling and the cycling community offer. Keep it up!
Hundred percent with you with cycling being a life changer I was a big fat lump, and use it as a calorie burner, and whatever else comes with that, I will take as an extra bonus which it has done a bit. 👍
5:32 it’s not that easy. I know a guy that was a mad cyclist, and he sadly rode his bike to where he chose to end his life. Scary. Everyone is suffering in life. I love the feeling of being totally destroyed after a ride. Even the next day you feel it, but it makes you feel alive. And alive is always better than dead. ✌🏻
I’m a army veteran cycling and meeting cyclists helped me two years ago just say I’m still here to get on my bike and ride might not be the best bikes but love beating the ones on super bikes 😅 thanks to Thomas for more great blogs on the Subject of mental health
Nice One! I was once a party animal but obviously with age and health I have totally changed for the better. I cycle when I can and health permits but I was brought up on the bike thanks to my good old mum and loved it ever since....Ride safe Bro!
Bro, I completely get your conversation about getting on the bike and leaving the party antics aside!.. Happily riding 4 y now thou on a MTB!!. Keep it going son!..👊🏻
When you get going again after stopping at a cafe on a ride… sometimes you get the dreaded “cafe legs” which is when your legs feel all stiff and achey… and not wanting to push the pedals!
Used to commute 22 miles to and from work in the 90's. Bought a race bike back then in an effort to beat times. Just couldn't get on with it. Punctures almost every day. Buckled wheels due to pot holes. Struggling with gear changing on down tube. Crap tyres in the rain wheel spinning and skidding. Got into it again now and technology has made these bikes awesome. I cant get enough of it now just wish I had picked it up again earlier. You are spot on its life changing. Cut right down on the booze and learnt more about my body and heart and feel better in myself loose my self on rides and get a real buzz. Money well spent.
Legends great video must of been a great trip 👍 Cycling helped me but with weight 7 stone lighter now and so much happier, nothing feels better after a hard ride. Does help clear your head too. P.S I wonder if Chris will mention his brown shorts on his fashion Friday videos 😂
So nice to be a part of this ride. And riding definitely changes your life for the better - couldn't agree more. When I'm feeling down, I don't grab for the bottle anymore, I go ride it out. So much better!
Mental health is so important and cycling is a game changer for this
100 percent mate! 😁🙌
