One trick to line up a frame is to loosely attach the end rails and the measure, if it's close then tighten one end with a speed square or framing square, remeasure make any adjustments then tighten the other end with a square.
Honestly, I’m impressed. Looks pretty stout and what it’s intended for should work nicely. I don’t know why people think that it’s a tandem axle equipment trailer. Having a lifted truck is sweet, but having something like this to pick up stuff and than hook it up to a quad for work around the property should be sweet. Not to mention have you ever tried to put a dirt bike in the trunk of a car? Lol
3/4 is perfectly fine for anything you might put on that deck. I might give it a liner treatment though to keep the wood from splintering and getting damaged over time. Great little trailer that will go for lots of years. They don't need to be over built to serve the purpose and last a good long time with intended use. People like to over load them and then complain when they break or don't function correctly.
Love this channel because you show how to videos and life experiences and how you live ur life and try to teach us things we may or may not know. Also ryan, do you have any more upgrades for the bbb build? That is my number 1 favorite truck of yours
I had a 5x8 trailer i owned it for over 20 years it came just like that one bought it in 1990 it served me well I think they are better now than when I put mine together
Yeah I heard in the beginning of January you can pre order them. Some stores may get them if they have a bigger backroom and the room to store them. If your local store is tiny then ask the managers they might be order only.
Great video ! 👍 Since I haven't had my F250 and my full size 1 ton van for awhile, a trailer like this one would come in handy when I occasionally have something to haul.
That many bolts would be my only complaint. I feel like I would want to red loctite along with nordlock washers all throughout. I would constantly be worried about a bolt making its way loose
Those "Foldies" need about 2&1/2 feet of total weld length at the two "fold" points and the corners of the bed portion after assembly & it increases the load bearing by a LARGE amount!!! Had mine for 5-6 years & overloaded The HELL out of it with NO PROBLEMS in ALL that time...👍
nN observation: It's much easier to bolt rigid rails loosely in place to form a parallelogram and then bring them into square as you tighten them, than to have the side rails floating whole ypu attach things to them. A carpenters square can save a lot of time creating a rough fit.
Compared to their previous trailers, this looks like it's actually strong and durable. Their present trailers need a lot of reinforcement to even be useful for anything heavy. I've had customers dropping off and picking up motorcycles with the old trailers and they would just bend and looked so weak. This actually has strength, now just to see what it's going to cost..
Definitely could weld it all together if you’d like. But I’m super confident in the amount of bolts that this thing is just as strong if not stronger than welded depending on who your welder is haha
It took me two hours to put my Harbor freight tool box together. There's not a chance in hell im putting that trailer together. Some shops are going to make money on assembly, lol. Plus, I have had three back surgeries, not going for a fourth 😂 Cool trailer though.
Do they come with the tailing package for department of motor vehicles or easy access to the VIN or serial number this can be a nightmare in some states😊 because it is considered a kit
What do you think you would use this trailer for? Out at the ranch to help move things around or even put the mixer on it so it travels better.? I cant wait to get one for myself... and see what facebook market place items come home...
With no lock tight I would be half tempted to weld all critical plates and tack nuts or carry a bag of bolts with you, should at least paint stick each bolt-up. there are some you said I will leave loose for now, did you go back...lol...As always great video and Merry Christmas to you all!!
Fun fact lock/spring washers don't actually do anything if anything the cause bolt to vibrate loose. I learned it in a nut and bolt class a vendor put on at work. If you ever have a bolt or nut that comes loose look into nord-lock washers.
Something had to get lot in the instructions and they forgot a couple steps. There is no reason at all why you would EVER need to measure and square two parallel bars with no cross bars attached. As soon as you touch it to mount the cross bars it will throw anything off. It literally has to be made into a frame before it can be squared. For a single person building it, to make it less awkward and easier. Like for the tongue….. I know no one likes to read steps ahead, but watching the video, it would have been easier to do take just one beam of the tongue and mount it to the frame loosely. Then do the other beam, and then put the coupler on. That way it would be easier to manage for one person without any help if they may not be physically strong enough.
I'm so glad you got a gimbal or something that stabilizes your videos. I used to love watching your videos but the 4K videos without stabilization used to make me nauseous. I'm glad I can watch the videos now.
All that waiting and there's nothing special that it can do like it can fold and be pushed into a corner or tilt or anything cool that's kind of underwhelming
Since this trailer kit is obviously made for someone without a welder a bottle of Lock-Tight would have been a nice addition.
And torque settings.
The burnt wood look really dresses it up ! Nice touch. 👍

Buddy! Did you say stout!?
Anything with 100s of nuts and bolts is flimsy and not Stout 😂
@@wt9653 ... It would only be flimsy if you put it together... If you know what you're doing, you can make it stout 👍

I like that you could get this and make a simple box out of plywood, make a simple slide in rear tailgate and have a nice little utility trailer

I still have one of the folding types , it's been a good investment for over 20 years.
Yessir always look forward to the videos!🤙🏽
This is probably one of the smoothest ads I've seen love y'all ❤
That deck looks awesome!!!
Be nice if they had a few assembled and ready to buy and pull away. I'll have one by the end of spring. Not looking forward to building it, though.
Using the post cleats to build side walls that through bolt with hinges to PIN the pieces together works really well too.

Mark the floor once you have it squared and you can quickly check if it moved. When you do the end rails.
Good tip!
In Kentucky you do not have to it helps if it gets stolen. It have a Kentucky ven number also it go with the serial number the manufacturer has on it.
Nicley done. He kept checking dimensions and square. It will turn out nice.
Put Christmas shopping on hold Ryan has a new video out.
I owned a small trailer w box kit when I started a power washing service still use it 20 yrs later on my property behind my lawn tractor
Get a grip Jeff

Basic tip, replace the seals bearings and tires straight from the get, your choice..Good luck pard.
Thy do have a floor kit and ramp kit for it.
Excellent video! Thanks
Good video. It's January 9th and they're not in stores yet. $999.
No Loctite on them threads? I guess it’s too late now. You can still mark the heads so you can see if there’s any loosing.
I bet Ryan ends up being the assembly video. Thats why they sent him the trailer. 😅
A lumberyard or home center that does not have 5/4 wood decking? Never saw one of those.
Thanks for your work!
Awesome video! That will help someone put there's together 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for the video upload to help keep me entertained while traveling today
Where ya headed?!
@ Dallas texas for Christmas
Just curious, when you say 5 quarter decking, do you mean 1 1/4 inch? I’ve never heard of 5 quarter before
Technically yes, but most places out here, it’s usually closer to an inch. It’s weird.
@ oh I see ok. I’m Canadian so I’m not used to that I guess, it’s different where I’m from
Merry Christmas boys!
Merry Christmas!
Can you use the Pythagorean theorem to get the diagonal dimension ?
You already know it has to be 5 ft apart and you can measure the length. 😉
Yes
The light weight 4 by 8 is on clearance.

Hope your weekend is well Ryan
At some point weld all the joints. That will make it a lot more sturdy. Then burn work for it in the deck. Cool build. Love it
Definitely could weld it all together if you’d like. But I’m super confident in the amount of bolts that this thing is just as strong if not stronger than welded depending on who your welder is haha
Then it will rust

Saturday upload 😮
Sweet, new video
Do they come with the tailing package for department of motor vehicles or easy access to the VIN or serial number this can be a nightmare in some states😊 because it is considered a kit
The bearings aren’t greased…. That’s shipping grease.
For those waiting to the end of the video for the release date - 1/1/25, and it still isn't available for order / preorder on 1/5/25 (today)
Thank You Sir
Geez Tractor Supply sells them fully assembled, for about $800 and does the DMV paperwork at checkout.
I bet a 4x8 sheet will fit between the jack stands
When trying to square it up
What do you think you would use this trailer for? Out at the ranch to help move things around or even put the mixer on it so it travels better.? I cant wait to get one for myself... and see what facebook market place items come home...
Perfect for small material runs with the bronco!
What work boots are those your wearing at the first part of you outting that trailer together ?
Cool video good size 5x10
I was wondering if it was gonna be an in store thing or ship IKEA style! Thanks!
Shipped
I was legit going to hit you guys up and see about buying that bike but couldn't find an extra $600 laying around this weekend 😂
How sad 😢
What is the actual inside dimension between fenders? I have a mower with a 61” deck.
Cost?
4:20 this is the assembly video lol
Yes
Could you have down the front and rear bumper on loose then square it?
I definitely think that’s a good way to do it
@ or using plumb bobs and tape on the ground. That’s how I do K members for cars
Yeah buddy..!!!
Cant belive you used those thin ass boards for decking.
What did you use?
Better man then me i would have lost my shit with that bag of bolts! Ill pay the extra for a finished trailer at tractor supply
With no lock tight I would be half tempted to weld all critical plates and tack nuts or carry a bag of bolts with you, should at least paint stick each bolt-up. there are some you said I will leave loose for now, did you go back...lol...As always great video and Merry Christmas to you all!!
I was thinking if spot weld would be good and help GVWR
They are supposed to to be already assembled I heard. It has something to do with d.o.t
Nope
It’s past January 1st and nothing on their website.
Fun fact lock/spring washers don't actually do anything if anything the cause bolt to vibrate loose.

LOL !.. Sure 😢
I'll bet that vendor sells nord-lock washers. 🤔
1/4"x5 = 1 1/4"
Gone!!!! What lumberyard does not have 5/4 Decking boards?White pine%@$!*&^

Harbor freight doesnt have an assembly video yet because theyre waiting for you or someone else to make the video, lol
Its easy
Use 50% diesel and 50% used oil. Best board sealant ever.
Yea buddy
Nice to your channel
I'm so glad you got a gimbal or something that stabilizes your videos. I used to love watching your videos but the 4K videos without stabilization used to make me nauseous. I'm glad I can watch the videos now.
This was the install video
Did i miss the price ?
$999 as you see it and they’ll have add on accessories coming later
How long till sergio gets to add lights
Haha this one comes with enough lights for the size of trailer
@@DMAXRYNO next video…adding lights to trailer 🤣🤣
Christmas lights?
Thy had them back in the 80,s and 90,s do not know thy took them off yhe shelf I like the newer ones better.
When can u buy it ?
Jan 1
Let's fucking goooo ryno merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 brother ❤
The tape measure is definitely off.
12:43 this had me dying 😅😂
😬😬😬
Seal the deck with used motor oil.
You could get something bigger with side rails and gate for $6-900 on marketplace all the time
Just checked marketplace near me. Cheapest I could find was an 8x5 for $1200. Used trailers in CA are expensive
@ no doubt, I’m from Deep South so we find them fairly easy for cheap
Not new
Maybe I missed it but they don’t have to torque any of the bolts?
@@0235thLE 25ft lb’s for most of them
Tight is tight
When you review stuff for them do they vhange things to make it better for the working type men like you that may buy it
Change what?
Maybe one day Harbor freight can send you a Extra one to give away to a Channel Member. We can only hope. 😎
That would be rad!
Don't hold your breath
We will have to compare this to the Mini goose neck.
Lowes $900.00 😂
They didn’t put a video up so they sent you the first one for you to do it for them to use your video hell of a Collab
Nice
Dope got acknowledged by the man himself!
No loctite huh......🤷🏽♂️
all so me: iddle be fiiine...🤦🏽♂️😂
This haul a side by side full cab
No
That tape measure is way off that’s like 18”. Merry Christmas Ryno and family
All that waiting and there's nothing special that it can do like it can fold and be pushed into a corner or tilt or anything cool that's kind of underwhelming
Dang Ryno Saturday ?
Howdy!
DIRECTIONS I Don't needs no Stinking Directions !! .......maybe a pictures ... lol
Harbor freight needs a pro press I don’t want buy a Milwaukee😂
I agree!
🤔
I’ve seen two articles one says it can hold 2,500 lbs and the other 2,000lbs
Which one is it? I really hope it’s 2,500 lbs
That’s worth it
Gvwr is 2700 pounds and capacity is 2000 pounds
@ thank you sir
That makes sense .
2,250
HF specs say its empty weight is 400 lbs. Working load (payload) is 2,000 lbs. Any decking reduces the payload capacity (by around 120 lbs).
I believe in WI single axle like that doesn’t need registration
That's Cheesy
5x10 under 3500lbs gross... But they are trying to make it so ALL trailers have to be registered yearly...
Packaging needs to coincide with instructions… lego does it haha
Oh another ad 😅 I mean video
Looks like you could just make this same thing out of unistrut.
There’s a ton of engineering that went into this
Nope
