    I've been chewing on this little gem for more than a year. After watching this video...I'm leaning in to buy it. Being a woman, I'm not keen at all to use the table saw in the garage. Years ago I built a couple of bluebird houses. It was so much fun, I started getting creative and began incorporating the Victorian age embellishments. I bought dollhouse shingles from Hobby Lobby and they dressed them out really adorable. My bluebirds nested in them every year. Back then, I had someone that would cut the pieces I needed. Today, I don't have that. This looks PERFECT. I have the latest Circut machine but it will not cut balsa or basswood more than 1/16 thick so this would LOOKS like it would do the job and then some. I heard this mini table saw will cut up to 1 1/4 thick wood. Do you think it can?

      It sounds like you are a very creative person, and this little table saw is perfect for creative hobbies. I purchased it to cut small pieces of wood and metal, and the jig you see in the video is for making repetitive cuts simple and quick. If you want to step up from the Circuit machine this will cut up to ½” soft wood without any problem. No, my little table saw would not be able to cut 1 ¼” wood for two reasons. Firstly, the blade height is only 5/8” so cutting up to ½” is no problem. Secondly it only has a tiny motor, and you could easily burn out the motor by trying to cut a large piece of wood. If you are looking to purchase one of these little table saws, check the maximum blade height as this will give you some idea of the size of the wood it will cut. Making birdhouses is a lot of fun, especially the ones I made with my grandchildren. I have a video on this channel of a large 24 room bird condo I made a few years ago. Let me know what you decide to purchase and how it works for you.

    I have had one for over a year, and what a great help!!! The cuts are perfect (PCB designs), and I have the other one to cut aluminum plates for noise shielding so I do not have to be replacing blades. For what I use, it is great and amazing!!!! An idea to you, 😂Sr/ All, you can install a pedal (switch), so there is no need to use the switch in the saw. I also added to my little ones a little car vacuum activated with the same pedal switch, which works beautifully. You can get the mini drill also, just saying!!!😂 Great demo, Sr.

    Love the additions you made . I would suggest you get a set of ball drivers , makes the job much easier .. I build r/c aircraft and this would be great for me .

      Hey Rod, thank you for the nice comment, yes, I have a set of ball drivers, just did not think to use them during the demo. I would think this would be an ideal piece of kit for an r/c aircraft builder.

    As the fence is only a rough guide and the work piece will be to wide, don't move the fence I use electrical insulating tape and stick it on the face of the fence then re-cut the same part, also masking tape works well for sneking up to a given size

    My blade keeps coming loose. Could I be doing something wrong or just not getting it tight enough?

      Hi Paula, I have never had that problem. Here are a couple of suggestions. Make sure you have the arbor clamp the correct way round. Also insert a small Allen Key into the hole under the blade as you tighten down on the center Allen bolt. I hope this helps.

    The common blade you are using is good for aluminium. There is a better blade for the wood, that would be the rip saw blade. You will cut that aluminum like butter with the main blade you are using. I saw you struggled and thought you could not cut it. You can't with the blade you used... Also Make sure you turn up your voltage a bit on the power supply... This is a great table saw!

    How's this table saw holding up? I was interested in buying this one but has mixed reviews on Amazon.

      Hi, I do not use this very often and only for cutting very small pieces of soft wood. So far it is working very well.

    that thing is loud! I'm looking for a mini table saw to cut Kumiko strips. don't want to use my standard table saw as these strips are tiny!

    • @BrightSparkIdeas
      @BrightSparkIdeas  11 місяців тому

      Yes, it is rather loud. It is not very powerful and does not have a lot of torque, but it might be perfect for cutting Kumiko strips. Possibly try some different blades to get the perfect cut.
