I went to my dear friends Funeral and the y played this song which bought tears to my eyes. My Friends wife come up to me at the wake and said Mike don't let this happen to you as my husband said to me many times Mike works like 16 hours / day it will kill him. I taken on the words of my dear friend and I was about to go Private in business. That was 24 years ago I taken what was said that day. Oh man, I know that neither of my parents will be with me long. I had the weirdest experice about a year back - I saw them in the same room, at the same time, for just a brief moment. Dad had dropped by unexpectedly, when Mum was already here. They were divorced when I was so young that I have no memory of ever seeing them together, and MAN that was just trippy to see them in the same room at the same time.
I am glad I had that moment, though. Would have liked to have a lot more. But I had that one, at least. I know that when they pass away, it is going to just tear me up, and be an experience that I can't possibly understand how bad it will be, until it happens.

My friend had three German Sheppards. One female and two male. She was the mom of the two. Mom had to be laid to rest from cancer. This was one week ago. So the two male dogs are distraught and confused. They act like... where is mom. ..My friends mom ( as above) will be passing before Thanksgiving. This was one my Mom’s favorite songs. She passed away from a heart attack July 6th, 2017. After she passed my sister and I made ourselves go get some food. Pulled into a restaurant parking lot and this song came on the radio. I started crying so hard , but it was like she was telling my sister and I that she was okay and at peace. It was a very touching story of friendship between two women and the challenges they had to overcome throughout the years. The ending was particularly touching when Bette Midler was named as guardian of Barbara Hershey's daughter in the movie. I real tear jerker!

At the time I had two small toddler boys-I have 3 now all well accomplished adult men. That summer of 93' was literally hell on earth for me. No matter what my mother never doubted I could overcome the inner demons that were destroying me. She helped me to be strong and keep faith in myself. Though I have had so many more trials and tribulations that happened in my life over these many years. Especially the passed four-With faith, hope, and love! You can overcome what can seem to be the most horrific of obstacles a human can face. If you believe in yourself as my mother did in me. All of them all are religious, excellent with good college educations , employed in highly skilled professions and great parents as well

I am 55. My mom.passed last year . She was 91. Her best friend just lived three houses up. Her name is Diana. She is in her final days. . My long time friend ( Diana's) daughter moved back after 30 years to take care of her mom and her dad. He just had surgery on both kidneys due to cancer. He is ok. My friend had three German Sheppards. One female and two male. She was the mom of the two. Mom had to be laid to rest from cancer. This was one week ago. So the two male dogs are distraught and confused. They act like... where is mom. ..My friends mom ( as above) will be passing before Thanksgiving. With this all said, this is the perfect song for my friend Caryn. 😢..so sorry for your losses. I will always be by your side, my friend. We have known each other since we were 7 and 6 years old. I love you. I always will unconditional. RIP.

This was one my Mom’s favorite songs. She passed away from a heart attack July 6th, 2017. After she passed my sister and I made ourselves go get some food. Pulled into a restaurant parking lot and this song came on the radio. I started crying so hard , but it was like she was telling my sister and I that she was okay and at peace. So to this day , I can’t listen to this without crying. I miss Mom so much, but it gives me comfort that she is at peace and is happy And she is reunited with my Dad again. ♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏

I remember the first time I watched the movie "Beaches" and this song was sung. I still cry when I watch clips of this movie. It was a very touching story of friendship between two women and the challenges they had to overcome throughout the years. The ending was particularly touching when Bette Midler was named as guardian of Barbara Hershey's daughter in the movie. I real tear jerker!

This song was sung a few years ago for the 9/11 memorial service by Bette Midler. I cried when I saw Beaches I cried at the memorial service and every time I hear it is so touching and heartfelt. It’s my favorite movie song and I will carry it in my heart always. ❤️

I dedicated this song to my Mother in 1993. I was going through a horrible time in my life. I was 25 and faced one of many challenges that I had to overcome over the years. At the time I had two small toddler boys-I have 3 now all well accomplished adult men. That summer of 93' was literally hell on earth for me. No matter what my mother never doubted I could overcome the inner demons that were destroying me. She helped me to be strong and keep faith in myself. Though I have had so many more trials and tribulations that happened in my life over these many years. Especially the passed four-With faith, hope, and love! You can overcome what can seem to be the most horrific of obstacles a human can face. If you believe in yourself as my mother did in me. Than whatever life throws in your path and no matter how overwhelming you too can overcome. Love you Mama oxoxox

Today is August 16, 2024. My Mom (now gone to heaven) turned 90 in 2001. We gave her a beautiful party and each of us 3 daughters got up and gave a little personal speech about her. When I gave mine, I had this song playing in the background and everyone had tears in their eyes. I could hardly get through it. She WAS the wind beneath my wings. I miss you to this day Mamma.
