Man, I wish I understood more of this game. I enjoy it, but out of the dozens of scenarios I've tried, I've only achieved my goals in one. I feel like most of my problem comes from division templates. Economy-wise, things usually go pretty smoothly, and I have a lot of equipment stocked up, but I just never can seem to do well with my divisions.
Division templates are the easiest thing in the game. For infantry division, just use 10 Infantry Battalions (20 width) and add artillery, engineer support company. This division will perform well against anything in single player. For tank division, make 40 width, 10 tank battalions and 10 motorised infantry. Add artillery, engineer, logistics and other preferred support companies. The most important stat in tanks is Breakthrough; maximise breakthrough stat in tank designs and use Mobile Warfare doctrine for the breakthrough buffs. Use meta fighter designs and get air supremacy, which will boost your breakthrough even more. I learned the game by watching Bittersteels 'Ultimate Germany' tutorial and following in-game exactly as he did. From there I kept playing and learning new mechanics. After a few games it will feel very easy. I wish I understood less of this game, cause when you know all the stats it feels very shallow and too easy lol. Enjoy the challenge while its still there
@@Haha__ 21 width infantry with 9 inf, 1 arty is better for most. The combat width system was reworked and you no longer have to stay on numbers divisible by 10 to be meta. Back in the day any template which wasnt 20, 30 or 40 width was horrible but nowadays 21 and 24 width are more meta. If you have massive manpower such as soviet or japan 30 width with 2 arty, 12 inf is worth it as it will demolish most other inf. For marines you go 30 width with 4 arty, 9 inf and engineers obv. Generally you can go a slightly highhr amount of tanks than you recomend in your tank divs. For example 11 tanks, 9 motorized or even 12 tanks, 8 motorized if you have alot of doctrine. The motorized is only there to raise organization and the doctrines (primarily mobile warfare in the case of tanks) raise org so much that it will reduce the amount of motorized needed. I also wouldnt recomend engineers for tanks as they improve defense and amphibious invasions and tanks shouldnt be used for either of those.
