- This friend had someone tell them this Protege needed a head gasket replacement. He supplied all the parts, but after seeing the car had no significant symptoms of gasket failure, I felt the need to inspect it myself.
I'm glad I found no real problem with this Mazda, but would have liked to have done the job. I did end of doing a complete tune up a week later. It's a nice car, I remember how bad they rot out on the east coast, this one is very clean.

My nephew actually sealed a really bad radiator leak with pepper and drove it that way for a few years. Crazy.
That first cylinder with the darker plug is probably the one with the weeping injector. I think my car may have the same issue, but I haven't bothered to do anything about it for a long time. XD
Which model CReader is that and how much was it? I have a lower model I need to review. Nice vid.
It's a 7+ and I spent something like $200cdn. It does everything I need for basic home diagnostics. It will read the air bag module on my A4. No bi-directional control though.
Nice! The one I got is basically just good for code reading and some simple low rate live data. The charting and live feed on that one seems pretty awesome!
inb4 comments about how this is a channel with Subaru in the name, but it's a Mazda with a head gasket failure. ;)
It can't all be about Subies, but for the most part it will be! I'm also confident I'll always own a Subaru to film. I try to keep my garage restricted to small cars and the cool stuff will make it onto the channel. Possible 323i e92 for head job in a month when I get the time to do it!
To make a long story short: there are few restrictions on upload titles being related to channel names ;)

lol yeah I was trying to stay away from that topic. Damn 25D's ruined it for all other EJ's. Then there is the oil leak issues... OK let's stop right there. haha
I know... Subaru people know the truth, but everyone else is lost, thinking even the EJ20 blows head gaskets when it's pretty much bulletproof. Yeah enough though, hahaha. *CoughRearMainSealsCough*
