This may help clear things up.
In the comics, Raven did go to the Justice League first when arriving to Earth, to get help with her prophecy, but was very quickly and aggressively turned away by them because of Zatanna. Raven triggered Zatanna magical sensors going off in her head about Raven being dangerous (a destroyer of worlds) and got her casted out. Zatanna was very hostile about it and it was inferred that if Raven stayed around she would be killed or locked up in a Phantom Zone type of way. So you normally don't see the League and Raven be around each other.
Raven instead ended up with the Titans.
After the Trigon is dealt with I think Batman has her on the roster for his Justice League Dark group.
Trigon took a humanoid shape when he conceived Raven with Arella. It was a cult wedding that Arella has no idea what she was getting into.
I like that Robin didn't have to fight his dark side, as he's already fought it countless times in the past. By working with Deathstroke in a way he's working with the dark reflection of himself.

For him and her mom to "get busy", a cult that worshiped Trygon had to perform a ritual so that a minimum portion of him would come to earth and do it, and the ritual was basically a satanic wedding

Easily one of my favorite finales of Teen Titans. It’s always cool to see the Titans fight darker side of themselves, Robin teaming up with Slade, and the return of White Raven.

Though, to be honest, Slade does sound better than Deathstroke when you think about it, at least to me.
When you think about it this can be seen in almost every show.
I think that until you leave so something enough ambiguos for a child to figure out its fine.

Am I crazy or do Raven and Robin kinda act like brother and sister, especially in this finale? I don’t know, maybe it’s cause we don’t see them talk or bond too much outside of this finale, but when they do, it’s very sweet.
Facts they actually are very close in many incarnations in the comics and media

I wouldn't say they act like siblings, mostly because I've always shipped them, at least these versions. Way more of a connection than him and Starfire ever really had.

Fun Fact: The “Mother Mae-Eye” episode was inspired by the creative team when they wanted to do a silly episode before the season finale. They intended to do another musical episode like “Bunny Raven.” But they didn’t have the budget.

It still throws me off how the staff SUPPOSEDLY couldn’t give Slade his real DC villain alias of Deathstroke since “death” was in the name, yet they had no issue with showings his skull. 😂 I say SUPPOSEDLY since I’ve heard differing stories as to why that was, and I’d like confirmation on whether that’s true or not. I would assume no since many CN shows around this time had death in them or said the word. Ben 10 and Billy and Mandy to name a few.
Well, Deathstroke is his villain alias/codename as an assassin, his actual name is Slade Joseph Wilson.
I assume it depended on who was looking at what and when. These kind of decisions weren't always super consistent. They may have been allowed to have characters say "death", "die" or "kill" every once in a while (or in certain contexts), but having an antagonist, that's portrayed as a serious threat who hurts people, named "Deathstroke" might've been seen as going too far. They may have also wanted to further distance this show's version of the character from the comic's version by renaming him, just in case any kids tried to look him up.
I've never been bothered when superhero media uses the characters real name instead of their hero/villain names. I'd honestly say I prefer it. Slade is a much cooler name than Deathstroke imo. Hearing Peter act like old buddies by using their real names with the sinister six in Marvel's Spider-Man just feels so fitting. New York and fans call them by their villain names, but Peter is so comfortable with them that he has no issue calling them Aleksei, Mac, Herman, etc.
The more realistic we get with comic media, the weirder it gets when they use their made up names imo.

7:00 Going to give you guys this information because I feel like it may save you from a gross situation in the future. If you are ever stung by a jellyfish, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PEE ON IT, WARM WATER WILL WORK THE SAME, that methods also probably better at preventing infections as well. I always loved that ending sentiment with Raven and Robin. Its not very obvious, but Raven seeking to do good despite being told from birth that she was destined to do bad...that's inspiring. That gives others around her hope and strength
In the behind the scenes videos, the crew said the purposefully made Season 4's standalone episodes super wacky to counterbalance how dark and serious nature of the Trigon arc.
Season 4 was initially planned to be the final season until they decided upon one more season.
In the comics, Raven's mother was part of a cult. The cult performed a ceremony that allowed Trigon to manifest through the cult leader, who then had his way with her mother to create Raven.

I adored this finale. I do agree it felt very series end-ish. Raven is so supremely powerful, and they had some amazing lines and lessons in this.

The final episode of season 5 "things change" will really hit hard, no spoilers but it did signal the end of the child hood for those who grew up with the show, and things never go back to how they were, you will see....

This was the series finale at least the one the series creator planned. After this season he left and only came back for one episode of Season 5, which was basically a bonus season because the series was so popular. However S5 underperformed and thus the show got cancelled. Originally they planned on a new show called The New Teen Titans replacing the original which you can still find the episodes for. It was essentially Teen Titans, but chibi and the same mix of seriousness and humour. This series is what would go on to become Teen Titans Go
Pro tip for anyone you don't actually pee on a jelly fish sting. Adult human pee isn't sterile and can cause a whole range of other issues of putting bacteria filled pee on a fresh wound. To help with pain before medical arrives they recommend using OCEAN water not fresh water for the sting and to not remove any stingers left.
On the subject of Starfire being strong, if I remember correctly she's nearly if not outright strong enough to go toe-to-toe with Superman.

Story time: Loving this series as a kid, I had seen part 1 at home, but when part 2 was debuting, my parents and I went on vacation. I knew what channel it was on and knew when it started so I was bouncing in my seat as we were arriving to the hotel to get in our room so I could see it. Well it was more than half way over, close to the end, when what do I see, but Slade’s mask getting knocked off and seeing his “face” for the first time in the series. Granted I had 0 context on what had happened. My kid brain was desperate to know what missed and this was before we had the ability to stream on demand.

Teen Titans' ability to do a complete 180 from goofy hijinks to the literal apocalypse one after another is one of my favorite things about this show. You never know what to expect, but you know whatever vibe they're going for they're gonna go hard on, and it's gonna be iconic

Slades a spooky skeleton
This has always been my favorite character season of this show. As dark as Raven's backstory in this show is, it's even more disturbed in the full comic version.
Basically Raven's mother, Arella, was part of a cult in Azarath that worshipped the devil. They decided to do a ritual to summon their demon and Arella was the person chosen to cast the spell. When Trigon arrived he looked like a handsome human and when he and Arella locked eyes she fell in love. They started making love, but in the middle of act Trigon transformed from his human form to his true demon form. Arella freaked out and tried to get away from him but he forced himself on her and she became pregnant. The cult then did a spell to seal Trigon away but when they looked into the child's future they saw that she was destined to bring back Trigon. They named her Raven to mark her as a tool of destruction. At that point all of society despised Raven and the monks took her in to raise her.
One criticism I have with most of the Cyborg focused episodes is how repetitive they feel in their moral.
(1) Cyborg gets into situations where being part human makes him feel inadequate. (2) Cyborg dismisses the human part of himself thinking it makes him weaker or less capable. (3) Cyborg later realizes that his humanity is the most important part of himself and embraces it proudly.

Episode 9 is my most watched Teen Titans episode bc it came with LEGO Batman: The Movie (basically LEGO Batman 2 cutscenes put together into a movie). I didn’t realize it was this far in the series!
I personally think this is the canon ending and the rest was kinda a "do what you want thing" where they basically just stuck all the ideas into one
