Hogwarts Legacy has lots of hidden secrets and collectables to find but any of the secret doors and passages are locked and require a puzzle to be solved to open the doors in Hogwarts Castle. I will show you how to unlock the doors, open the doors and solve the puzzle for yourself. To do this I will show you where to find the solution to all the animal door puzzles and how to get inside and unlock the door by solving the question mark ? puzzles.

Looking at the animal icons surrounding the door, they are the same on all doors, in same order, starting with 0 and going to 9 in order
You're the real genius, I did not actually notice this but with such an understanding you would no longer need the clue.

i loved figuring out this cipher on my own. it feels really rewarding now to look at these secret doors with confidence since i've already memorized about 3/4 of the cipher so I don't have to flip through my inventory to read the Arithmency notes as much

I think the easiest way to remember what animal belongs to what number is key focus on the number of horns/ligaments it has. Two out of the 9 is more the shape of the animal in comparison to its respective number (4 and 7)

So each beast represents a number starting from the left side (0-9). The way you solve the puzzle is to add up the total of the given numbers and subtract that number from the number in the middle of the triangle. You should get a number that would represent one of the beasts. You then change the symbol on the wall to match whatever number you got after doing the subtraction.

OMG THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THIS!!!! I tried to figure it out my self and I was close but I was stuck I didn’t know you had to add them up to the number in the middle I found the page and I was trying to add the number of the symbols instead of trying to add them to the number on the door

Huh..That's very clever to hide some puzzles for secret doors on the floors just below the one they're on. Nice touch. It makes the puzzles more challenging without making the puzzle more complex. Like turning it to division, multiplication, or worse into a algebraic equation. It would make someone into a math/puzzle master...Or put them in a straight jacket thinking they've been banned to Azkaband.

I was able to mostly figure it out on my own because I figured the 3 headed snake meant 3 points.

I never got the number sheet, but I did all the doors still. Thats because I knew what a Demiguise (0) and a Runespoor (3) were; it pained me to hear you call the Demiguise a sloth. The Unicorn, Quintaped, and Acromantula were obvious references to the numbers 1, 5, and 8 as well. For reference, the order is Demiguise, Unicorn, Graphorn, Runespoor, Fwooper, Quintaped, Salamander, Giant Squid, Acromantula, and Hydra, and each has a recognizable connection to their number if you know a bit of lore.
See, I had the right idea! Its just I didn’t know it counted from 0 🤣 Thank you for this though, it will help a lot if people 😁
Solved it under 10 min just looking around. My days I’ve never thought of myself solving one of these things without help
I'm playing through the game trying to do everything including solving the puzzles first without looking them up.
How I opened them wasn't the intended way, but it was still a brilliant solution.
Since the ??s were typically farther away, I would choose the first, then go back and change each ? until the door opened, and repeat.
I still consider myself a fitting Ravenclaw.
I don't think I ever saw the diagram. I figured there would've been a quest like the butterfly paintings.

I have brute forced 3 of these doors open because I had no idea how to open them, but I was close to figuring it out as I slowly understand the symbols.
I had the right idea all along, but just had the wrong numbers. Thank you.

Ive just been doing every combination
I was sorted into Ravenclaw for a reason, I actually had this figured out on my own, it honestly reminded me of a certain process I had seen before. With the numbers in a triangle having to be added together on each side to equal the number on the corresponding side. But I loved this puzzle, it was such an interesting and fun experience to be added into this amazing game.
Same, it was our destiny to solve these.

The animals are laid out sequentially, figured it out on the first door I came across.
