This is, in my opinion, an absolutely classic album. The history behind it says that it should never have happened. ROCK ON EVERYONE. Peace out.
The very best of Mötley and one of the best albums of glam metal era
I can’t imagine what it felt like buying the album when it came out, taking it home, dropping the needle on T.n.T and hitting play. I would’ve been hanging from the ceiling half way through Doctor Feelgood!!!
Wax was going out back then. It was cd's and believe it or not, cassette tapes- Because getting a cd player for the car was too damn spendy. But I remember it well. The volume was always on 11, and the switch for the stereo was on or off. P.S. Slice of your pie has always been my fave!!!
A bit of a let down....
I was there.
I remember being in the 4th or 5th grade and this kid at school showing his cassette to me he told me he threatened to run away unless his mom got it for him and he lent it to me cause my mom had a (popular at the time) dual cassette deck skinny boom box and doing a high speed dub LOL . Mom told me what did he say OD for?? you’re dad is gonna be pissed so dont him find that shit!!! I been a fan ever since. She liked girls girls girls and smokin in the boys room better …lol we got all their cassette’s available for free on BMG or Columbia House record & tape club in the sunday paper. I had everything plus some typical 80’s pop like Madonna and Cindi Lauper & Michael Jacksons “BAD” to mix it up with . And the ine my dad fohnd a couple years later was None other than “Appetite for Destruction” by Goats 🐐 n’ 🥀 Roses as my dad would say. 😂 he said they are satanic??? (This was very much during the Satanic Panic era and my dad was a crazy devout Christian but a total douchebag. Whatevs. I rocked some madonna which he liked cause she was sexy… then when he left to work it was MOTLEY CRUE & GnR and Stryper and I think I had a W.A.S.P. Tape too lmaoooo .
Bought this tape the day it dropped at Mother's records and tapes in Greenbrier Mall, Chesapeake VA!!!! This was an amazing and life changing album. Only album that topped it for me back then was Seventh son.
Yup that’s about how it went … only there was fire 🔥 involved too & some stolen whiskey from Circle K. Otherwise you got it right on the money. 😉
Delivered papers to this album..wore it out on cassette in my Walkman
A good album with an unbelievably great opening. Dr Feelgood is a great song.
I always notice these songs sound exactly like they do when the band plays live in concert
Have backing tapes-will travel 🤷🏼♂️
I totally agree. And I can't help but think that the intro was inspired somewhat by the intro to Detroit Rock City by KISS, which sounded a lot more cool to me at 12. lol
It’s a masterpiece bro !
But i prefer Shout at the Devil 😈🤘
Girls Girls Girls......kkkk @@jrzenizeni2506
Kickstart my heart is the one of the best rock n roll masterpieces ever!!!! It is kick my ass really!!!!!
Mine too!
No it's Dr Feelgood FFS!
This makes me miss my youth, my Mom....
Dammit....
Was 21when this came out what an album
I grew up listening to this song so this type of music is part of my life. It’s part of my generation, my sister, my brothers everybody in my whole entire family has listened to this song so I can see where you’re coming from.
I remember seeing music videos and performances from this tour on tv as a little kid. These guys were a pretty big deal back then..
Love this album but its my second favorite Crue album. Their very first one Too Fast for Love has always been favorite. I just love how raw and in yourr face the whole thing is.
i was 16 in 1989. this album blew my mind :)
I was 15 and it blew mine too bro. This was also my first metal concert.
I was 12 and the same I was just getting properly into rock metal and I thought this was best thing ever and still is great 👍
"I was the little kid in the nyc subway wearing the Ninja Turtle mask, 2 plastic sais in belt, holding his moms hand and giving you the surfs up sign with the other hand.."
Was 11 bought the tape with my allowence then
I was 16 in '88 this was the last album on cassette I bought. C.D.'s after that.
One of the best album in 80s
This intro and "In The Beginning"..... Mind Blowing!
I was in hospital getting thru some bad shiit when I first heard “without you” and if I didn’t have that cassette at the time, don’t know how I would’ve gotten thru it. Loved the whole album!
'89 man the memories.. let's hear some.. I was 8 I remember blasting this on my brand new cassette player. I think the discman became affordable not long after. Moved to Florida from Mi. Good times
still love this album, cassette for me, at the time
oufffffffffffff!
oh yes, the old ways. Boombox and biro pens 🙂

Well, you can't fit an LP in a Walkman, baby. Don't think I haven't tried! ;-)
Mick Mars tremendo guitarrista !!!
I would like to see Motley Crue's self-titled Motley Crue album get remastered, the best one ever done.
I had the CD, the poster, the haircut, the concert tickets and I was 18
My first rock concert at Kansas City Municipal Auditorium. I was 11. Motley Crue is still badass
😊😊
What’s a sound, this was one of the reason of the changes in Metallica when Black album was recorded
"Exactly Bernardo"
I always liked the big sound this album has. Bob sure knew how to do his job
Bob played bass
The intro to 'Dr Feelgood' (song) is unbelievably heavy and bassy for the time. While it might be a rip-off of 'Mr Brownstone' or certainly very similar to GnR, the intro and production are way ahead of Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer etc at this point and for a moment you wonder whether it's a feel-good song or not (with those downward groaning bends on the guitars).
For me the best Motley Crue album in the ' 80 and Shout of the Devil.
Sat in my mates room in Catford, London SE6 listening to this on vinyl in 1989...Oooooof!
This and Frankie double Dutch bus was my first introduction of music that I loved and I was only like 7-9 years old when I found them in my dads collection. Lol
Still have the cassette too! But no playerrrrr, bummer Lucky for this right here yall
I love my cassettes man ! But I'm from Kentucky we 20 years behind the rest of the world ! And no I'm not inbred but my kids are ! lol
Tel me il send you a cassete K7 recorder 4free

She’s so..heavy yyyyyy
I stoled this cassette at Music Land back in the day cause I was broke but wanted it and it was the best Non Purchase I never spent, cheers 🍻

why would you admit this...
@@cds5067 It’s not “why would you admit this” but rather the fact that they’ve shown no regret
Now u got to take ur life back
I remember Music Land ❤❤
And, Sam Goody ❤❤
Bob Rock made them sound huge. Mick Mars is a rock and roll genius. Great album.
It's actually cause of this album in particular that Metallica wanted to hire Bob Rock for the Black Album.
@@mr.timebombman2230 Rock's trick with recording subs in the room.
Did Bob Rock produce anything more known than this and the black album?
@@williambraden3912 Check him out! Bob Rock is a hard rock genius.

Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away) - My X girlfriend use to love this song! and we use to play it all the time.. Good times.
Back when rock n roll was trashy, raunchy, dirty, exulerating, and badass. And I love it! 🫦🥃🔥🎸😎💋💀
My first concert and it was awesome
Very the best album Dr feel good....
MOTLEY CRUE
One of best hair metal sleazy album
MASTERPIECE !!!
Kickstart sounds like Ballroom Blitz from Sweet (70's). Not a bad thing. Slice of your Pie sounds like Love in a Elevator a lot !

Was 18 when this came out. The memories 😊
UA-cam #1. Great upload.

Was 11 in 1989, bought this tape, back when they had to cut off that anti theft case around it
just gave me so many flashbacks , forgot all about them plastic cases, and ate a lot LSD in early 90s, Just moved to Ohio around nothing but Hippies . wasn't into there music but they was the greatest nicest people ive ever been around till this day ! I miss Ojio , you Thornville folks rock
Takes me back! I wad 13 in 1989 when this album came out.
I love this album. Can listen over and over!
Just discovered it after decades of being into metal. Wow! remember seeing Crue and Poison on TV back in the 80s but GNR won the advertising war... missed out on hearing this. What was I missing!
When this album first came out !!!my so called girl friend who said she loved me so much left me straight up in a cold blooded way..... Didn't even really try with me!!!I really liked this cd !!!!!
Mik Mars is a GENIUS !!!!
Yo tuve ese casette, increíble época.
Back when I use to drive big rig id pop in this cassette whenever I entered into a big city and hammer down.
I was there, (mid) January of 1990. Houston, Tx. Warrant opened up for them.
Easily thee most amazing Rock album ever made!
Seen Motley crue in concert 5 times back in the late 80's and early 90's !!!! They were and are the best !!!!
Motley Crew, must have this album, for be legendary, because is a five stars album
Was living in Florida during this time when this album came out everything about this song was true during the cowboy days it was a very interesting time
This band with this album I feel it encapsules a Rolling Stones vibe with Aerosmith and ballads a la Bon Jovi. Not bad at all. But no longer Metal ; I missed the raw energy of Heavy Metal riffs from previous albums. But this is a nice Party Hard Rock collection of songs. And love the 3 BALLADS. Good album.
あー、なんかメチャメチャ元気が出た!ありがとう👍♥️
First compact disk i ever bought.
¡¡¡ si que son buenos !!!
Ahhhhhh memories 🇩🇿🇵🇸🤍🤍

The album has a great production, Mick Mars continued his great guitar work also on this album, it's the only album of the band to reach number one on the Billboard chart in the USA and the title song is the ever highest charting song of the band in the USA, nonetheless the album contains some filler as in all Motley Crue studio albums.
I saw motley crew in the whiskey go go in california long time ago before they became famous
Mick Mars 🎸🎶 great guitar playing
best ever album of Motley Crew
Very Good🎸🎸

@@laverdad5245 All the great songs we love were all done by people under the influence of drugs. Drugs will open up doors that won't open when you're sober. It helps you get creative and feel good at the same time. Most great songs would have never happened without the help of drugs.
