Märk hur vår skugga (See how our Shadow) - Corona Adaptation

In this music video, Barokksolistene (BaS) recreates some of the atmosphere of the pubs and inns in Gustavian Sweden. Bellman's melancholic, gloomy and mysterious "Märk hur vår skugga» ("See how our Shadow") is given new lyrics adapted to the pandemic, with a twinkle in the eye.
This musical film, featuring Barokksolistene’s very own Per Buhre on vocals, is part of the launch of "The Nordic Sessions”, premiering at Musikfest Bremen 2021. While BaS’s celebrated signature project,"The Alehouse Sessions”, takes its inspiration from the folksy baroque music native to the English taverns and alehouses of the 17th and 18th centuries, its new sibling "The Nordic Sessions" explores the contemporary Scandinavian repertoire of the era.
With an ensemble consisting of musicians who are all among the foremost on their instruments in the Nordic countries and Europe, and with musical roots stretching several hundred years back in time, the music is recontextualized and performed in a way that gives it new life and relevance.
The video was originally a part of a series of edutaining digital school concerts for Den Digitale Skolesekken and aimed at middle school kids, however it has the potential to be of interest to anyone who appreciates Bellman, acoustic music or a good drink.
