- A duel from an English alehouse in 17th century London. The music is found in the collection "a division violin" by Playford. Barokksolistene from Kings Place in London. For more info on the whole concert or the ensemble in general, check out www.barokksolistene.no
What I liked about this vid/tune, above and beyond the fantastic fiddle playing, is the feeling that I could have wandered into a London Public House in the 1600's and stumbled on two wandering minstrels having it out on the floor in just such a manner.
Brought tears of joy to see and hear this. This is what music is for.
I know right I brought tears when I first heard it
The smartest thing you will do all year is to listen to all the versions of "Paul's Steeple" on UA-cam ... one after the other.
It's like getting a graduate degree in music!
I like your idea. I would never get tired of listening to this masterpiece.
Best Version of Pauls Steeple on UA-cam!!
This group is heading to Chicago soon so I'm getting a foretaste of their music. I like what I see and hear. Can't wait!
This is simply amazing...!
haha cute :)
looked as though they had heaps of fun ^^
I literally turned this in so mini time and I don't won't to stop I'm in love with this song
Brava! Splendid and well done.

Extra! J'adore +++ !
I know the music via Voices of Music. Well done.
The very best...!
This version is a bit like a Hungarian czardas in the fluctuations of the tempo. It's very danceable. Nothing like the version by Voices of Music, but both are great. I love the humor that went into this.
O "baixo ostinato" foi lançado, cada solista tece uma variação (em divisão), cada vez mais aceleram esse entusiasmo, como numa dança de roda.
The 'original' was published in 'The Division Flute' - where it's unaccompanied!!!
Super🌹bravo🌷
bravi, bravi!
nice idea!
Really cool, and fun. I would have liked it if they'd each have paid more attention to the tempo. They were throwing off the accompanying ensemble. It nearly fell apart a coupld of times.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I actually think they held together very well. I was enjoying that throughout.
lawls violin battle XD
Anyone know the guitar chords for this version?
