Great job repairing all that rust. I am amazed at the abundance of old Chrysler cars that have been permanently parked just waiting for you to repair and place them back on the road. That E49 looked and sounded great (is it a genuine) exactly as I remembered them when I was in my late teens (I am 67). Keep up the effort please, I do enjoy what you do.
Ha, so did mine. Theirs was a Deep Chartreuse one with the nice Aussie colour matched upholstery and vinyl roof, different hubcaps and trims, and like yours with 265 with the black crinkle paint rocker cover instead of the 245. Quite different to the NZ assembled ones. First registered 1 Oct '71 FT3568, pics on Car Jam. My father really loved that one. He did all the maintenance himself and it was like a faithful beast of burden for him. Long gone now but great memories. He traded it on a VH Regal 318 coupe which was a nice wagon too. That one's still around somewhere and would be worth a good amount now.
That CM is looking pretty crisp for a 44 year old based on a 53 year old design. It may yet come close to the ex Purnell Bros Bankstown display car that sold for 37 grand many years ago.
Yeah I never understood that considering the CL and CM were visually similar from 1976. On the other hand Holden had NO new panels between the 1974 HJ and the 1980 HZ. The only panel change was the HZ sedan stole the Statesman boot lid. The HZ was just as "antiquated" as the CM when introduced.
It’s how all chargers should sit . 👍🏻🇦🇺

Gday mate
The charger is not the real deal but a very tidy driver
Thanks for watching
Cheers
In 95 96 I had CM X Cop 👮🏻 car in blue from SA 265 with the 2pipes with blue trim . 👍🏻🇦🇺.
Back in the 80's if someone told us we would be restoring a CM Valiant in 45 years we would have laughed.
Like saying we’re gonna restore a Magna. And yet it’s being done. I never thought I’d see the day a Valiant was worth more than 2 grand
You make it look easy, as usual Mr Coopy, great work✌
Hi Coop
Up ya go Spartan. That's a fine old Valiant. Good.
Good job mate getting there slowly keep up the good work ❤❤❤❤
Gotta love a good Valiant.
Good luck with the rego test tomorrow. She looks about ready for the road
Thanks, Coopz. Beauuuuuuuuuuuuudiful!
Parents had a 265 ranger in Nz, it was originally a demo car from aus, had many good years with it. Love seeing them being bought back to life.

Love the old CL & CM, I know they were considered a bit of a dinosaur when they were released but the styling is classic '70s & you can't beat a Hemi.

Thanks for the bit at the end '' hey charger'' 👏👏
Pitman arm had bush nasty from factory VJ 1974 bearing upgrade better
The 245 265 6pots were tops not 215 never should have been made
Good luck with the Rego Maaaaate. Looking forward to checking the car out at COTM.
