    Hello! Don't understand algorithm of reversing bytes. Should I do that for all cars? Thanks.

    I REALLY WANT TO LEARN THIS SCIENCE I MEAN TO BE ABLE TO EDIT HEXADECIMAL NUMBERS FOR CARS AND PROGRAM THEM. WHERE CAN I BEGIN TO LEARN THEM? I DON'T WANT TO READ THE HEXADECIMAL ONLY AND ALSO BW ABLE TO EDIT THEM MYSELF. BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING WHEN I LOOK AT THOSE DUMPS. CAN YOU GIVE ME SOME ADVICE PLS?

    Great staff and very knowledgeable. Quick question, is there a reason why you have to remove the chip?

    • @disonesto
      @disonesto  2 роки тому

      I'm not sure why. Sometimes there something in line that affects the programing. I don't have a chip clip so I can't test that method

    Does 2008 with temp gauge is interchangeable with 2010? I've a 2010 and want to put one with the temp gauge. It's a gl sedan model. Thanks.

      So actually I tried this myself and to my disappointment, it does not work. The speedometer and fuel gauge work, however the tachometer and temperature gauges do not work because I believe there is a 3rd plug that is missing on the 2010 elantra. Also some strange stuff like the high beams indicator do not work.
      TLDR: I do not recommend doing a swap

    Great video!
    However, how about some models that don't appear on TACHOSOFT? Like Toyota Coaster one

    • @disonesto
      @disonesto  2 роки тому +1

      Idn about Toyota Coaster. Best thing to try is find the eprom chip. Read it. make a backup then try to find the mileage using versus other vehicles on Tachosoft. Once you find where the mileage is. Make the correction on a copy of the backup you made. Trial and error

    Did you ever figure out what wire was missing for the temp gauge, looking to swap one of these into an Elantra blue. Not sure I'm going to run into the same issue or not. Mine is a 2010 and the new gauge set is a 2010 model.

    • @disonesto
      @disonesto  2 роки тому

      No never got around to it. Been to busy with other projects and work

      @@disonesto Thanks, looks like I've promoted to Astronaut.. If I don't run into the same issue or resolve it I will let you know. The Elantra is not one of those cars people go customizing allot. Being there was zero rust after my daughters use of the car I have spent this winter rebuilding everything. All that is left to do is the gauge package and timing and water pump. Working with Foxwell to see if I can do the mileage in their tool, it has the ability it just does not have Hyundai listed for some reason. I could go your route but would rather do it less invasive. Worst case I will just swap the Eprom.

      @Curiosity Hopefully you have better luck than me, because it is not just a wire, but an entire plug. I tried this swap on my 2010 elantra and unfortunately it wasn't just the temperature gauge that wasn't working but also the tachometer.

      @@mr0o Thanks, interesting I have the blue model and it came with a tachometer. Just finished the timing belt and will take the dash apart to inspect. One way or another I will get a signal to it... ;) I guess the first thing will be to find a good wiring diagram for the car. I'll update when I get there.

    • @mr0o
      @mr0o 2 роки тому

      @Curiosity yeah if you find a way to get it working, I'll definitely want to know about it, if it means I can give it another try. Good luck!
      (Also what I meant was that the tachometer was not working in the new cluster, my elantra has a tachometer in the original cluster but after I did the swap, the tachometer wasn't working.)

    Can i change bike odo meter using this method?

    • @disonesto
      @disonesto  Рік тому

      Yes you should be able to read and write to the bikes EPROM but your going to have to find the correct hex line for odometer. It's going to be trial and error
