I remember when the Oldman and my brother use to do the hay with those little rectangular hay bales and stacking them in the shed . I loved it climbing all over the joint lol
That Mountain Raise loader certainly is a handy tool. I had a look at some Chinese loaders at the Mareeba Field Days (Just like to reminisce.😄 ) Not the same brand but similar. Sure are some price differential between them and the Branded stuff! 😜😁
I am going to the Mareeba field days next year I missed out this year to busy with artwork I was in the shed and it was over before I knew it. The Chinese loaders may be a bit below par compared to the name brands but I am happy with mine and its way better than no loader. Thats what I would have If I had to pay for a name brand. John
@@farminglifeaustralia6716 Yep, I'm still driving the old beat up Tojo. Had to pass on a new Porsche - can't over capitalize! 😜😂 The Mareeba Rotary Field Days rotate with the ones at Stuart creek (or at least they always used to - I may be behind the times!) So next year they should be held down the hill from you at Townsville. Been quite a while since my old mate and me went along there. Won't happen again - both him and his missus are gone now. Worst thing about getting old. All your good mates disappear!
@@theoztreecrasher2647 I knew that Townsville was on every second year but I didn't realise that Mareeba was in between. Either way I will go to one or the other. Them Porsche's aren't much good in the paddock and a bit limited for room in the back only fit a couple of chainsaws behind the seat. No good for you I think. John
Yes Charles you are right no rain for a while turning very dry. I am enjoying getting out of the shed and doing some outside jobs again. I have a lot of catching up to do. John
The baler has a bale monitor which is an electronic device with a screen that you control the baler with, you set the density of the bale you want and each time it reaches that setting an alarm goes off and the bale automatically starts wrapping once its wrapped the monitor alarm goes off again and the screen tells you to dump the bale. John

Those little bales are hard work. We started out wit those. John

Hi John, have you done a video showing all your tractors, how they came to you, pros and cons? ❤️ tractors 😃
No I must do that Frank. Thanks for watching. John
Good bit of hay John.
Thanks Wayne Berry. It has saved us a few times the old hay. John
How is the Biochar Cruncher coming? I realize it is a rainy day project. This time of year. You probably do not get much rain.

Interesting to see the hay bales processing
I love the cute Jack Roussel too
Thanks Roni Bee. John
Love your work mate
Much appreciated. John

I always sell the hay or use it before its had it. John
Where in QLD are you growing the hay John?
NW of Townsville. John
John where would you recommend growing hay in Australia? Also how many hectares to make a decent amount of coin?
We grow about about 30 acres and only sell the spare. If we do a cut and sell the lot its usually $12000 plus. John
Thanks for sharing. Really enjoy watching your videos. I also like watching all the big toys you have. You’re such a hard worker.
Thanks for that. Yeah I love toys. As far as working the old main spring is winding down as I am getting older. John
great! the closed captioning is hilarious a few times, once even applauding you at minute 2:39 as do I too, of course.
I'm glad you like the captions if I explained myself a bit better I wouldn't need them. John
@@farminglifeaustralia6716 nah I do it for the entertainment value. you are a great communicator!

Hi, I’ve watched a few vids on your hay making. What tells you on the tractor, when a round bale is ready to purged?

Your work is never done John! How many rounds did you get? xx Cathi xx
Only 40. Just a warm up run when I start I never cut a big heap until I make sure all the gear is going ok. John
