Bro you are absolutely AMAZING!!! I too was struggling with this for a while, then I found your video and got each one out in 3-5 seconds. Thank you and God Bless you!!!
Thanks so much - this saved me so much time and aggravation on an already frustrating day. I was trying to pick these out like the main valve cover gasket, and sitting there thinking it was going to take all day. Took a break, found your video, and had them all out in about 2 minutes.
Omg u are a life saver i was so confident at first when i look at the 1a auto video i was i can fo that then the gaskets where toasted there i was i think i bit off more than i could chew . Thank you you save my ass
Just stick it inside the oven at 375 degrees. After 15 minutes, face the cover down and stick a screwdriver in the ring while hitting it would th your palm or hammer.
To whoever is struggling. If you have a short bent tool like a bumper pin removal tool. Use both together. Skinny flathead (I use a removable drive with flathead assortment, specifically husky) as he said and pin remover attacking from underneath on the same position of plug seal. I hope that made sense to everyone. My valve cover was 03 crv. Just be careful not to cause a significant dent
When I did it, I angled the screwdriver the other way, away from the metal, and it worked wonderfully (without damaging the manifold or needing to twist). That way it just sort of deforms the seal inwards until It falls out.
Bro next time u should be able to turn the valve cover upsidedown and hit it from the other side with a small pry bar or flat head ....just tap it out very easily
@@cinnamonbunsss2698 Nice! I ended up using a really long screwdriver to get more leverage. Keeping the old valve cover seal in place to protect the aluminum, or putting a small piece of wood at the fulcrum helped my anxiety about scratching up my valve cover.
I really appreciate this video. You just saved me a lot of stress and time 🙏🏼
Absolutely!

I had a mechanic who basically siliconed the grommet tube seals in that have to be cut out. I am so disappointed.
What about an engine still in place with a stuck socket?
