Robby won't let you down! Mischief Maker will look amazing!!!
Agreed! I think Robby will have Mischief Maker complete just in time.
"look amazing"....At least until Hollie's first rock crawling trip!
The first thing with a flat is to put air back in unless the reason is obvious. The $45.00 dollars did that include all the parts you purchased? Most tire shops will do flat repairs for free of very cheap to try to gain your business. What shop was it? If they charged you $45.00 I want to know who to avoid.
This, my lovely, is how we learn. Some compressed air and soapy water would have helped diagnose the problem rather than assuming that the tire was punctured. You also gave the tire shop instructions to dismount the tire ($$), then identify the leak ($), then remount the tire ($$). If you had asked them to fix the leak, they would have replaced the valve stem and charged you much less. Not lecturing, but sharing my own experience. Let the experts diagnose the problem and give you a price.
I'm not sure why people think a tire shop should fix a tire free, or even cheap. They have a big investment in people, tools and real estate. If you think you want to fix things yourself to save money then don't take it to someone first.
@@zekeabercrombie3583 I think the problem is when you become used to working in other people's shops, and they have lifts and tire machines and balancers, and you get used to doing things yourself. A lot of people have no idea what it really costs to have someone else do it for you.
Robbie & his crew won't let you down. Always good to learn new things & much cheaper to DIY
Robby may put doubt in your mind but he is the King at what he does. He will have it looking like new for you. He puts in some long hours as to not let anyone down when they have expectations and commitments. You have enough stress going on just leave this one up to the pros. You will be great full of your new friend.
Stay safe healthy and happy 👍
I think my favorite word to hear Hollie pronounce is Kapoot! Robby, Dinner, Demri, Hillbilly and the whole crew will make sure MM is done on time and done right!
Haha, I’ll work it in occasionally 😂🤘🏻
Robbie's been putting in the hours to get MM ready on time! You are so lucky to have all these friends in your life....:)
He has a Jeep to build and, when the time is right, I’ll be there to help him scratch and scrape up his rig on some vehicle-sized boulders
Robby won't let you down, it's looking great n I can't wait till you see Mischief Maker soon... Amazing in so much time n with Golden Nugget as well, thumps up from us n ED....
Robby is just killing it on your Baby/Mischief Maker. i have total confidence he wont bugger her up before the jeep event and she will be ready to roll out and look amazing while doing so!
Robbie and crew will have Mischief Maker ready and looking fantastic
That tire didn't need to come off the rim.
Whole thing doesn't make any sense. How would they have found it was the stem without putting air in it. Put air in it that means the tire was on. They discovered it was the stem and still took the tire off? What kind of tire shop doesn't have patches and stem parts why would you need to go to AutoZone? My head is spinning on this one.
On of the nice parts of my tire shop is they have a pile of stems sitting on top of the trash. If you need a valve you can just harvest one.
@@Laugh1ngboy and having found the leak you probably would take the 2 minutes swap it for them and send them on their way. Right?
On a slow leak especially on 8 or more ply tires it is best practice to dismount the tire to inspect inside the casing for potential damage from running at low pressure at high speeds or from the rim crimping the sidewall to the ground. If the damage was excessive they should have replaced the tire hopefully under the hazard warranty. A good tire shop will not take chances on their customers safety. Michelin for example on their long life tires have a 10 year tire warranty however at the end of the fifth year and every year afterwards in order to keep that warranty active you have to pay to have one of their certified technicians remove the tire from the rim and certify its safe for another years usage. Patching those tires requires removal, inspection for interior damage, grinding through the synthetic rubber inner coating, plugging/sealing the punctured hole through the belts/tread and cold vulcanizing a disc patch on the inside of the casing covering where it was ground. Its a lot of work to do it correctly and unfortunately way too many shops don't follow best practice when doing these repairs and will take chances using a temporary rope plug telling the customer its a permanent repair. Rope plugs are temporary repairs to get you to the tire shop so that a permanent repair can be done properly however some of the bargain tools in the emergency plug kits are too coarse and will cause excessive damage to the tires belting making it so the tire won't pass inspection and will have to be discarded.
I understand many don't like to hear this and I also go though sticker shock at times over the costs however there are way too many rollovers that occur every year due to improperly patched tires. The larger/heavier the vehicle the more critical this is. Mine is over 10 tons with 16 ply tires and a blowout from a vehicle if that class can cause a lot of collateral damage to other vehicles and their occupants so I take tire safety very seriously. Just a blowout without loss of control can be devastating to a car or pickup truck passing by and lethal to motorcyclists or any nearby pedestrians.
Hopefully Holly's tire was inspected and deemed safe so that simply replacing the valve core and remounting it was the correct action. She gets a Kudo from me for taking a more hands on approach and trying her best to keep things safe.
Between Robby, Dinner, Hillbilly (and the rest of the Layton Auto Body crew), MischiefMaker will be SHINING in all his glory for EJS..
Robby's not going to let you down
....don't you worry Holly❣️❣️
Mischief Maker will be making mischief in time!! Robby and the crew will not rest till it's ready 💪💪
Robby and crew are miracle makers so I predict it will make the event.
Robby won’t let you down. He’s taking great care of him.
Mischief Maker will be READY in time! I trust Robby and crew to go the extra mile to Make It Happen!!
You have such great friends they won’t let you down.
YES, I watched Robby this morning
Oh My Goodness!!!
How am I just now seeing this?? I really do appreciate all the help...
You Guys are So Great!!
Thanks Again Love you Guys!!
If you have a Discount tire local, they generally fix flats for free, even pull them off the vehicle for you.
They give you 1 free repair. But only charged me $20 the second time
@@FlawedOffroad I've taken 3 tires in one year to them without a charge for a repair. Not sure if the fact I buy my daily driver tires from them makes a difference.
I even took my 42" tire to them to patch. The guys in the shop were playing with it when I went to pick it up. They never had a tire that big in there before. LOL
Mischief Maker will be ready. Robbie is great!
Totally agree with you on being able to do things yourself. I've been doing most of the work on my jeep but when it comes to wiring and welding I'm a dummy. It nice to see you learning new things and not afraid to get your hands dirty.. I always try to think outside of the box when doing things so it can be easier to do. $45 is alot of money just to tell you that it was just the valve stem and to take the tire off and on. Crazy...
I was just in St George very late Thursday night. Pick up my toy hauler Friday and cane back to St Johns AZ. Yes your Baby will be ready and looking beautiful.
I agree Robbie will not let you down
Robby says it will be done! I have faith in him and his crew... The paint looks phenomenal. They really did a great job. Only have a few things left to paint and then it's re assembly. Robby is a perfectionist so making sure it's right... He knows the world is watching...Well 35K of us at least...
I truly appreciate his attention to detail and the care he is putting into my rig’s repair work. The paint is looking so good right now!! I’m gonna try my hardest to make sure he is the first person to scratch the paint - this way he can’t give me a hard time for what comes next! 😂
@@MischiefMakerTV ROFLMAO. You rock as always my dear. Hoping to be able to get out this Summer and do something other than running back and forth from house to the boat while it's out of the water getting a new bottom put on it. Ran aground in the night. But did manage to make it 1200 miles without sinking to do temp repair due to Covid time contraints...
Mischief Maker, You never thought of just inflating the tire......it may have got you to the tire shop without removing the tire.>>>I always keep a portable/12 volt air-compressor in my vehicle/got me, as others to a service centre without taking the tire off....Love your videos.
My grandfather bought a old service star tire machine back in the 80's by the time I was 10 in 91 I could change a tire blindfolded country boys are a lil different lol. But by the time I was 20 I had changed over a thousand tires cause we didn't just change are own we changed them for neighbors, church member's or even a stranger with a flat because we always had a few used tires around and back then most rims were 15" and we never charged anyone but most people would give me a tip . Help your neighbors one day you may need their's.
Yes Robby doing great
"Summer is my least favorite month" hahaha..... 🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
Robbie is doing great on the Jeep watched his video on it yesterday
YES mischief maker will be ready in time.
I agree Hollie if your hobby is 4X4ing, building, traveling cross country etc. and you have vehicles go 'kapoot' you should know how to repair even some of the more difficult stuff like suspension, carbs, manifolds, heads, tires, shocks and leave the rest to Robby and his 'mad skills and crew'
Mischief Maker is gonna be ready! I also learned how to do my own work on everything because of the cost and the trust issues I have with shops...all the knowledge I have is still never enough when I'm on the trail though! Always trying to learn more! Love the channel, thank you for sharing!
If I would be able to build the jeep... I would name her ChubChomper! MM will be better then ever! You rock Hollie!!🤘
Love Learning more about your life and adventures. 🤗👍
Robby won’t let you down, Mischief Maker will be ready!🙏👍
I have been there my mom lived there for years and my grandparents moved there in 1969 you work so hard keep it up.
Thanks for the new video!
Gonna be ready for EJS. Robbie won’t let you down.
Robby and his crew wont leave you Down for sure. There Very Good .There work is Top notch ..Great Video...
WOW you The woman of the day, changed the tire like no problem god bless you.great job.
I believe you in good hands with Robby and crew.
Yes, he will be ready, they work sooo hard with it!
Yup, I have the same problem with having stuff done when I can do it myself... And yes, it really is the Scottish blood!
Yes it will be complete. Totally amazing!
Hi Holly! I love your channel and your ambition to learn and do things for yourself! You have such a great attitude and you seem like such a genuine, good natured person with a huge passion for life. I think it's great that you follow your dreams and you are not afraid to take chances in life. I am happy everything has worked out so well for you and your mate. You are a true inspiration for living the dream that we all would like to live! Love the Mischief Maker too!
Best wishes from Glasgow....Montana. Ya, it's a real place. Lol.
Thank you! I’ve seen a Glasgow in PA and TN. It’s crazy that it’s a popular town name over here 😂😂
Robby will make you think it will not be done and then.... he looks like a miracle worker.
Just watch Robby's update. It will be done. He has very little left to do. It came out amazing, they did a good job on it.
Replacement of a valve core is final step to being a master mechanic. Congratulations Hollie. 🎊
Robbie's got you! He won't let you down.
I own a similar Ford pickup. It may not be the valve cores that leak, but the valve stems won't seal. It is a issue with the rims on Ford dually trucks. I finally got sick of adding air to my tires weekly and bought new rims. Never had the issue again. Love your channel keep up the good work.
It's going to be extremely close. But looking awesome so far.
Hi holly, you make a lot of sense with how you learn to fix things for yourself.
Robby & crew will indeed get it done. Can't even imagine them not getting it done!!
Don't worry Holly... I think Robby will have it ready. If not though, it will at least be done right.
Tire repair use to be cheap, not any more ! I got bit by not asking price at my go to tire place that I’ve used for 30 years. New owner new price. It’s really nice to learn how to fix it yourself!
Robbie will have it done and it will look fabulous 👌
Thx for the vid. - Ken
Yes, definitely
Your jeep looks great when you get it enjoy having fun
Cool videos thanks for sharing
Mischeif Maker willbe ready because Robbie is awesome, and he'll look spectacular because Robbie doesn't do anything half assed!
Yes Robbie and company will have Mischief Maker done!
Robbie says yes
yes robby will get it ready
Hell yes it will be ready in time !
You should find a tire shop like the one I use, called "Discount Tire Center". They have repaired a number of tires for me for free. It helps that when I need tires I always buy them there and their customer service is always top notch.
Jesus! My old shop. Most of us would have just charged $3 for the valve core then sent you one your way.
Been watching the progress on mischief maker it's going very well
Seems to be 🙌🏻
Hell yes, Mischiefmaker will definitely make it!
It will be ready can’t wait
Mischiefmaker looks GREAT
just another mad af day ! Good stuff and you are upbeat about it too!
100%yes Robby The Man he Will deliver on Time
Yes
Busy, busy, busy! You are a busy girl!! LOL!! Too bad about the windshield though. Cracks are a pain in the keister to look through on a long trip. I've been checking out Robbie's progress.. your going to love it!!! 😃
I have no idea how that happened lol it’s just been sitting there
@@MischiefMakerTV One tiny rock chip + heat+ rolled up windows causes pressure and... c r a c k... goes the window. It happens.. Perhaps you can find time to get it fixed.. usually covered by the vehicle's insurance under comprehensive for $100 deductible. Good luck!!
I salute you for doing everything on your own but you did not even try to check and see what the problem was with that tire before you took it off and took it to the tire store. The number one thing you check when you have a flat tire is the valve stem then the rubber don’t assume anything! By the way mischief maker will be there and it looks amazing
Yes going to make it… I got faith in Robb..
Great advice! Everyone should have some level of self-self-sufficiency.
yes , robby will have it ready.
Robby and team won't fail you. It will looking amazing for Easter Jeep Safari and will be the star of the show
I just can't help but love Hollie!
☺️💙
Mischief Maker looks great and should be ready for you!
So excited !!! It’s been way too long
Yes it will be there no problem at all. So don't worry about it
I totally hear you about the price of work. I do all the work myself on my cars and everything else about the house, unless I can't afford the tools to do the work.
YES
Not to worry Hollie, HE is looking GOOOOOD! Robby is doing a phenomenal job and the guys at L.A.B. are moving at full steam. I have every confidence that MischiefMaker will look his best at EJS.
tha thu nad fhior bhoireannach suidhe ( my best Sean Connery accent ) , the best thing is that you have the right attitude and you are willing to learn, thank you for sharing
Robby is going to make it happen. Although he willingly might lead you astray and tell you it won’t be ready.
Mischief maker will be ready on time because Robbie Layton and his crew are working on it....!!!!
You've got nothing to worry about...!!!
Just don't look at the BONDO behind the new paint job..!!!!
😎😎😎😎😎
Love seeing behind the scenes!! Fun Fun 🤩
Yeah, I even enjoy running errands as long as they are Jeep Life errands 😍
