Pork Pie? em, it' looks like the Moon cake in Yunnan province, made with ham, interesting and thanks for sharing these daily life with us.Most Chinese students don't have a chance to learn all these details in daily life. Great job and thanks a lot!
Key Lime Pie! Anyway, thanks for sharing, finding your channel today is kind of like finding an extra chicken nugget in the meal!
haha, so many yrs but this is the first time knowing scone has so many different pronunciations, thanks a lot for showing us authentic traditional British culture , love it ! keep doing!
In another clip you do the V gesture, it does look out of picture seeing a British doing that. The teenagers in Taiwan do a mini heart gesture for photos a lot. They gently pinch the thumb and index fingers together to form one or two. May I suggest you cover a fruit section, especially strawberries? I love marmite too. Eating without butter is fine.
You made me look up the difference between marmite and vegemite... :) there are great food in the UK, **traditional English breakfast--while Taiwanese breakfast are great, English breakfast are one of a kind! the sandwiches, cakes serve with high tea are also fantastic stuff .
I am a Taiwanese father living in the UK over 10 yrs. I have some ideas for your next videos. I like an old BBC program "Horrible History" which is so helpful for me and my children in learning English. Most of Taiwanese students love the British culture , who learned modern science, literature, democracy, drama, etc in their 10s to 20s. They also choose the UK for gaining their master degree in their top priority. Your first video is very useful for IELTS preparation. However, they don't know why they need to learn those illustration or statistics skills, which are often seen in News of the UK.
Hi there, I am a Chinese father living in SHENZHEN for over 10 years. I planned to immigrate to Canada with my kids just because I can not bear all about CCP any more. So I am preparing IELTS now to start the immigration. Thank you for your nice ideas that you mentioned.
As a Cantonese native speaker, I can relate when you speak Chinese with the order messed up XDDD. I am doing it the other way around. You are so brilliant to speak Chinese in such a natural and fluent way. Keep it up, this channel somewhat support me to take up English indeed. Thank you
I have a question, are we supposed to eat scotch egg and pork pie cold from fridge? or can we heat that up in oven (like sausage roll) and eat that warm? which is a proper / normal way to eat scotch egg and pork pie?
It ought to be "味道很重" as in "heavy". But it's lovely how you're speaking in Mandarin - I let my daughter (11) watch your videos to inspire her to learn Mandarin.....she prefers Latin, Russian and French to Spanish and German at school, and doesn't speak more than 20 words in Chinese/Mandarin!
I must be honest that I once lived in UK for 3 years, and couldn’t quite enjoy the food, but everything else was so wonderful (dancing in Blackpool hall; riding the roller coaster there, walking in Lake District, chat in Irish pub with classmates; driving to Surrey to work, and many many beautiful memories in UK. Ok, some food I do like: Fish n chips ; scones ; roasted beef ; Earl Grey tea ; just avoid English sausage and buy Frankfurt instead, haha. One book explained well why we couldn’t have good food in UK, otherwise people wouldn’t have time to do those masterpieces: the literature, the engineering ; the landscape ; and (drum rolls) Harry Potter … and many more such as those poem like songs by the Beatles, :D
Finally, I have managed to try them all. You are right! Scone must be with clotted cream, the taste is next level compared with butter only! Crumpets with marmite is good too. Like what you said, it is too salty if there is too much marmite . Now, I have more choice for my breakfast. Pork pie and scotch egg are good too. Thanks for your recommendations.
@@susiewoo Ex-Brit Australian here; for some reason, the small selection of British food normally carried at one of the major supermarket chains here has vanished altogether, so that's very unsettling, especially they market their own Red Leicester - my old home city favourite, but that's little consolation. Hi Susie, hows going? This is Vinton from Australia, the Marmite you mentioned in the video, it looks like the Vegemite in here. Do you think they would be kind of similar spread? Or have you tried Vegemite before? Cheers!
Eccles cake is a bit like Taiwanese moon cake (not Cantonese moon cake) but with raisin filling instead of mung bean paste. Also, jacket potato is surprisingly good. Also, I like your mission. I think for many young Taiwanese the biggest cultural shock would be how contemporary British people think. I moved between several Anglophone countries for over 15 years before coming to the UK a few years back. But even for me, dealing with the British is a bit like dealing with the Japanese in some way. British people, especially those native to the South (East?), simply don't think in the straight line and unfortunately at least in my experience, not very easy to handle and sometimes a bit intimidating. So, for example, the fine line between sarcasm and passive aggression and how to play along when people simply don't want to give you an answer (you'll be surprised how often it occurs). I often find them, maybe, trying to be playful but in the wrong direction. I think it'll do some service for Taiwanese planning to "work-holiday" or Hong Kongers trying to move here with BNO.

I’ve just showed this video with my friend from Manchester in Taiwan.. we missed the British food... hopefully we can taste them again
Thanks for sharing 😃
Actually you are teaching English in an indirect way. Smart Girl and you are very lovely too.

When i study catering in UK, I made pretty good scones!! Freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, match made in heaven :)
Marmite
As a Chinese student in London, i Love British people
I'm studying in the UK. Looking forward to watching more videos about UK stuff. Really wanna know more about it.

Scotch egg. It is perfect if the yolk inside is half cooked.
You are very down to earth & I love it that you speak Mandarin very well! Kudos to you! Hope you drop by Singapore someday!😍

Marmite dabbed on toast with Lots of Butter. But my Favourite food is Baked Beans :) oh... and Fish and Chips

Hi, you said Marmite can be used to describe "good or bad" in one of your videos. Unfortunately, I forgot exact meaning. Please assist. Thank you.

Have a nice dinner😊.

Would you teach me how to request the water in restaurant? Nobody understand what I want in London last time, but no problem in Australia.
Might I know which supermarket chain brand I could find any Scotch egg, many thanks.
