How do you know what size barrel to get I believe some one took door keys from front door luckily We have spare and locking it from inside stops anyone getting in now having to use back door leave key in front door Oh my days

They come in different lengths and splits. For example 90mm length can be split 45/45 or 35/55

I would recommend doing the swap with someone home so you can take the barrel.

You’ll need a locksmith or a skeleton key, you need to be able to rotate the barrel.
