Brazilian guy here, that is correct. We as portuguese speakers do not make this " r " sound on Rogan. Our "r" sounds exactly like "h" most of the times, hence Hogan.
Why I love Jiu-jitsu. It is a pure meritocracy. Doesn't matter what your status, race, gender, orientation whatever. There is only one question you need to answer: Do you have the skills on the mat.
Depends on the school, some places are all about politics in belt promotion. I know black belts that spent years avoiding people on the mat, yet still got promoted, why?
@@fentonmulley5895 Some guy can't roll because they are injured or too old etc, doesn't mean they are not good teachers or coaches...but I knew young (under 30) black belts that never rolled unless they could could win...their only health issue was no heart...
I can completely agree that, I have been training 5 years.. I have been injured almost 2 of those. Some 3 months at a time, some 4-6 months. However, it has been incredible and I really miss it. I have a torn labrum currently but I have rehabs and and hope to get back in very soon. I am only a blue belt but it has been a very rewarding journey
The best time of my life, was the purple belt. I had my best shape, i surfed, trained and ate well. It's for shure the most important and most technical belt.

He became agitated and witnesses stated he became belligerent when Oscars Fried Oreos food truck , a family owned business who have spent generations at the fair told Mr. hogan they were out of milk. Mr Hogan had started to attempt milking a cow and when it did not produce milk, Mr Hogan went for a heel hook. However he was kicked in the temple and was pronounced dead on the scene. The owner of the animal came forth with a statement The following day saying I had told Mr Hogan to leave my Prize Bull alone on numerous occasions however Mr Hogan would just bow and say Discipline and Consistency is the key

When I was a kid, l walked into a Machado BJJ school in Torrence CA and wanted to know what BJJ was about. I was maybe 15, and was kickboxing so l thought I was hot shit. Jean was there, we spoke and I told him I wasn't convinced on BJJ so we did a light sparing session. I threw a kick the took me down, and made me tap shortly after. Let me just say I was humbled and never forgot that. Thank you Jean.

My Jiu Jitsu Black Belt is among the top achievements of my life, and the journey to reach it changed me into a better person.
How long did that take you. I'm going to put my daughter in it when she turns 4 or 5yrs old and I kind of want to try it too
