Planning for me is a personal experience. I like to watch other people's planning styles to get some ideas of how I may be able to tweak my own system. I don't believe the content creator is trying to encourage people one way or the other. I use this information as a way to make my own planning more successful😊
It’s definitely hard for shops that launch planners because Hobonichi and other big brands even in discs and spiral launch their planners beginning of September so we have to follow suit or risk folks not buying our planners because they’ll have already snagged their planner for next year. And as a super small shop that means sharing and promoting and pushing your planner in June/July or you won’t be seen cause once everyone starts talking and sneaking these big brands we get lost. That said, a lot of the drama I feel is self induced as far as making decisions and rushing to order. Although some more unique, special covers sell out Hobonichi for example doesn’t sell out for a long time. You can still get your planner after the new year starts. So you don’t really have to rush to order or make a decision. There’s plenty of time. And now that so many small shops have basically replicated the Hobonichi products you can snag from them if you had to as well.
I 100% agree that small shops needs to create a seperate strategy around their launches so they don't get lost in the hype of larger brands such as Hobonichi. I think the biggest thing with the hobo launches is that if there is a specific design that you're after you have to act fast to avoid it being sold out. I do think that spending some time to review what systems we have in place and what has changed and shifted in our circumstances is a valuable practice regardless of the time of the year. I also agree with your point that now we have a lot more variety offerings that are similar to hobonichi so you're never truly left without a planner. For me personally I do have a preference for the hobonichi experience so I never really feel the pull to try out the dupes. If i'm trying a different brand it's likely because I'm seeking a different experience. I appreciate your insight and of course spending some time hanging out with me here 😊
Well said! We put most of the pressure on ourselves. We’re used to the Hobonichi early release so it’s not a surprise anyway. Hahaha. Our small shops are jewels and I’m so excited because I ordered my first @JustScribble PLANS as my home manager. I can’t wait to receive it. 🙏🏼🥰🤗
Thank you so much for sharing your planning systems! 😊❤️ I’m more of a minimalist, as I’m only using one at the moment. It helps to see, if there’s something better out there… I love your channel for such a wide range of products in your reviews & feedback videos! My personal plan is to continue on with the regular size TN, which was technically my new way of planning and journaling for the past year. The excitement is still fresh 💃 & daily use puts a smile on my face, it’s something I truly look forward to! 🥰 It takes a lot of mental strength to resist buying something new, but I know I simply have no need (my life is not complex). What I do instead is upgrading my accessories and embellishments, learning new skills, ways and methods of using my TN, get new stickers, pens, ink, decorative papers, washi etc, creating a sense of continuous renewal and growth. Can’t wait to see, what your 2025 experience will be & how your systems change over time! 🙂
I love to clear and disciplined you are within your own planning practices. I appreciate you being here and sharing your insight. Thanks so much for watching and your for your support🤎
I think we are all doing this evaluation of a current systems and thinking about 2025. I'm in an A5 and N2 from SI now and will likely get the same for next year. I'm just debating about content planning and wondering if I could fit in to these or if I need something else...well I say need but you know 🤣 Thanks for the great video!
This is the first time your video has come across my feed. I subscribed right away as I found ur content, informative, thorough, thoughtful and uplifting, It is Sept 7 and I still have not placed my Hobonichi order. I have been taking my time instead of rushing in & ordering All the things, just to have some sit unused.! I love The Weeks. Thats a staple for me. For the 1st time, I believe I am ordering the A6 instead of the cousin. (I use the cousin for memory keeping) I love the Midori B6 slim, I use for my food journal, intermittent fasting etc. I’ve debated whether I just want another B6 slim Midori and skip the Hobonichi A6. Yup, still deciding.!! Lol. Decisions….
Great video! I am not a multiple planner person, nor do I like having to write things in multiple places, monthly, weekly, daily etc. I tried the paper Tess designs daily and I did like it but I couldn’t do the pocket size. I will be trying the hibino for 2025. Not many videos for it though. Thank you for sharing your video.
I also love the B6 Slim notebook from Midori. I’m using mine as a commonplace book also which I’ll continue in 2025. I’m also going to give the new Just Scribble Plans planner a try and a Hobo Weeks I use for Menu planning! I’m really hoping to stick with this lineup and not planner hop next year! 😂 love your content it’s always so informative and helpful!
Wow. I’m amazed with the amount of books people can actually use. It’s interesting. I’m more minimal. Two book person. One planner and one journal commonplace. I’d rather spend my money on quality fountain pens and planner binder. So I will be using my two plotters and four fountain pens in the new year. I also I’m not a fan of planner hopping.
@@ayanarandolph5778 thanks for watching and I’m glad that the plotter system is working well for you I’m glad that you had a chance to review and reflect on your own planner system through watching my video which was the whole purpose of the video to begin with. I should also mention that while some will be looking at multiple systems in place others will stack up on multiple inks and pens and each is totally fine as there is no right or wrong way to setup a system that suits you as individual. As long as you don’t walk away from any one of these videos with a sense of judgement that others are doing it wrong 😑 because they are different than you I think you’re good to go. I’m glad you found some insight and maybe some entertainment while watching my video
@@alignedplans no judgement here. If it works it works. I just personally know myself based on other hobbies I have. I work better with parameters. Like I said I’m amazed. Can’t wait to see what other people have planned.

You nailed it ! Thats the hope behind most of the planning videos.
Actually I’m abit confused.. it’s seems a lot of UA-camr treat planner as journal..
Love the way you shot this video & explained your thoughts! Great quality…happy 2025 planning!

I need to try Midori notebooks. I've finally decided on what I want in my 2025 planner lineup.
