About 2 weeks ago I started daily journal entry. I bought my first hobonichi weeks. I have been consistent spending time after work filling up the daily left side with gratitude and the right blank page for the highlight of the week. I’m loving this soooo much. I do have a regular A5 notebook that I’m almost finished. I do have a Hobonichi cousin 2025 waiting for me to become my new journal for next year and a new weeks mega for my daily gratitude and week highlight. I have never implemented memory keeping but now I am. I bought a mini photo printer and my current 2024 hobonichi weeks is getting fat 😂and I love it. Ughhhh hobonichi does it so perfect for us journal fans.
Ok as someone who has always been a boardline hoarder, same for generations of my family due to being poor most of our lives, this is AMAZING. ive held onto things from middle school knowing damn well ill never be able to wear it again...having to live with my inlaws right now as we work things out but ive only had a couple of items and i realized i dont need that other mess that takes up TWO storage units and $350 each months. Its absolutely insane. I was using it to mark the daye i journaled but got behind so next year im definitely doing it for decluttering. I think it would be an amazing motivator! Thank you for posting your idea!
With the joy journal and not making it into a chore is real. I hope setting it up sets the foundation for joy. I turned the weekly blank slots into music staffs for my theory practice and suddenly I'm excited to work on music at least once a week. Even if I'm not playing my horn, I'm practicing my music theory. Looking forward to your set up!
So glad you're expanding your reading journal! My reading bujo is 100% my most consistently used. I write basic info author, when read, etc. But then I copy the synopsis so I can remember what it was about, then talk about the strengths and weakness of the book. I've watched over 300 of Korean and Chinese dramas, and this year you've inspired me to get a separate journal just for them to also be more present. They blend together lmao
Wow! I don't think I have seen a Korean or Chinese drama before. They must be fantastic! I love the idea of copying the synopsis of the book, that would be a great way to remember it in a short form.
@mydandeliondiaries girlllll you need to start with K dramas. They are short, most of the time one season 16 ish episodes. Actors 11/10. I'd reccomend Crash Landing on You or a Business Proposal for your first one!! I have a feeling you'd love it. They have all types, not just romance.

I love this video, it’s really given me some great inspiration for setting up my own planners for the year. Ooohhh thanks for giving me an idea of what to do with some of my sticky notes. I have about a million of them left but this is a start. I have actually downsized this year and will only be using two Weeks. This year I used a HON for journaling but I didn’t journal everyday so no more dated pages for journaling. Happy planning!
I intended to get an MD clear cover for my Cousin planner but mistakenly got a Codex cover, and I’ve been grieving about it. Now, seeing how you’re using it for future planning, I feel relieved.
I find the Codex fits great (over time). Initially when you put it on it will be a little loose, but as you use the planner (especially if you paste stuff in) it will hold everything beautifully :) The classic Midori A5 clear cover fits also, but sometimes it is too tight. I personally prefer the looser fit because I can always heat it up a little to get it to fit better if I want.
I just started the video, but the thought alone of having to keep up with five different planners stresses me out haha I have one physical planner, google calendar and one calendar shared with coworkers and that is already enough to make me panic 😅 But I love watching what types of planning work for other people!!
You're habit trackers pages are awesome. I have been looking for a great habit tracker idea. I've been using it for this year, and it just works so great. Thank you for sharing. I have already set up my 2025 weeks mega habit trackers.😁
I loved the sterling ink books, but I found that the A5 blank pages have been too much of a hassle for me. Since I do my best to journal every day, I found that having to set up and date the page everyday has been getting really tiresome. However, her N2 was AMAZING, but I wanted more than 120 notes pages but less than 370 notes pages. The Hobonichi Weeks Mega books have 213 which was a nice middle ground :) I also played costs into my choice, and the shipping/timing that I thought would work best for me. Hobonichi won overall!
For the garden journal - would you include a planting map on one of the extra pages/spreads? Could be just basic shapes, but give you a visual of where everything went & what you might want to move in future seasons?
This year I had 2 planners (uni in an A6 Hobonichi English planner, everything else in the other, an A5 TAN) and it actually worked great for me, like I think I stumbled on Planner peace first go 😅. I'm getting both again for 2025 but have given myself permission to explore and try a cousin and some other formats with no pressure, literally to play around and see. (I got lucky with a windfall or it wouldn't be an option). Going to try a sterling ink pocket for EDC stuff, health and on the go jotting. Also doing a reading journal, a creative writing journal, and career/ job hunting journal. What I don't use in the long run will end up as junk and art journals, regardless of dates. It's helpful to see what people do!
Would love to know how and what you're using for a career planner as im about to start back studying to take an exam to prepare me for employment at home. Would love to find a way to best keep up with that info!
@@Chaos_and_Creativity I got a lovely A5 travellers style leather cover off Amazon (from newestor) that has 4 bands AND space to slide a book in the covers. I grabbed some sterling ink booklets to fill out the bands (including a monthly, that would be the only one that I would potentially switch out, but I'm graduating after December so having a dated element for my job hunting as a speech therapist plus the initial and compulsory new graduate supervision is going to help me) and the booklets will all be for different things, plus a thicker sterling ink lined notebook slotted in the back. I plan to use it for professional development and as a resource for myself, track important meetings, memberships to relevant organisations.... honestly excited to experiment! There are some great UA-cam vids about the concept. Multiple booklets compiled together and added to over time felt like the way to go for me over a single journal.

On the hobby/joy journal maybe on first year calendar pages- just a color dot if you simply had Joy that day or laughed? on the calendex pages you could use it for one word what hobby you did each day?( only bad part lets say you knit and did art and read how to code each day then?) Great idea to pre plan what you are going to be using your different sections for! I use 5 journals (could go up to 10 probably😅 ) and hate putting stuff down then realizing I would have preferred it elsewhere! This will give me time to contemplate exactly what I want.

For your garden planner on the months you wont use in 2026... Maybe you can take a picture of your garden and chickens and dogs to have sort of a memory planner for them.
I pen tested every one of my planners with a few pens and had no issues. I'm sorry your planner had bleed through :( Definitely reach out to hobonichi and see if they can replace it!

How do I fully convert the weeks into Sunday Start? The hobonichi techo original Japanese has a fully Sunday start, but I wish they also made the weeks in Sunday start..
My best suggestion is to use a cream white-out tape and washi stickers if you can find them. Or maybe write your own dates over the cream white out tape. Midori cream correction tape is also really good. I think Hobonichi has a survey on their website where you can suggest things. Maybe give that a try?

I am not! I tested out all my hobonichi books and didn't have any issues. The only other Sanzen paper planner I have is the Take A Note which I will test once I get it :)
Going back to the Weeks. Had been using the A6 Techo the past few years, then the Cousin last year, and the Cousin was the worst, I stopped using it by April. Just too much space. Even the A6 was too much space.

you dont need to check the pages if Japanese or English. Japanese techo have dark grey writing in the cover, English is yellow

This is a good idea! For my 2024 current garden journal, I did a sketch of what i wanted where in the garden. I may do something similar!

I am using 14 planners this year. 2 diskbound 3 a5, 3 b6, 1 a6, 3 passport and I a5 wide

I find the paper in my Hobonichi books to be fine this year. I know there were several books affected though.

Going back to the Weeks. Had been using the A6 Techo the past few years, then the Cousin last year, and the Cousin was the worst, I stopped using it by April. Just too much space. Even the A6 was too much space.
