Just saw this, I know this is old video but golden video. I don't know where to contact you, Kevin or someone. I want to ask that if this will work for someone who have hearing impaired but able to speak and hear but not over the phone calls because it so difficult to understand over the call if you know what I mean?
@Imtalhamirza if your speaking or having some sort of disability. You can still work IT
@ That what I thought! Is there any way to contact you to help me to get into IT help desk/technician?
@@BollyHeroSongs I don't know anyone hiring
Good! hey man, what do you think if a take Comptia Security + to get the
entry level/ IT suport??? i already have MTA Networking and Google IT
Support Certification. Thank you!
mta and google it is enough for start applying for jobs. You need to work on your resume and start applying for jobs. security+ is a good cert as well but you can start applying now.
@@KevtechITSupport THANK YOU very mutch!!!!
kevtech thanks for the video and i would like more videos on tickets
Thank you for this video
Great video. I'm unable to read. Can you zoom th window for upcoming videos
You need a new monitor if you can't see it.
Hi Kevin. Is it possible to create a home lab for ticketing? I've been curious about hands on learning but I can't find anything. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.
You can sign up with any ticketing system to learn how to use tickets. Not sure what you mean by home lab for ticketing.
@@KevtechITSupport I appreciate the info. Thank you. I wasn't sure if I'd need to sign up for something or if it was possible to create a study environment (i.e. home lab").
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Do you have to use the person's computer to install the new applications?
You usually use a screen share application or you can install it behind the scenes using sccm or another software deployment tool.
Hi Kev.I have this confusion about giving admin rights to a user .If we give rights to a user from his computer ,what if he give rights to himself by just going into computer mgmt and click groups and add his name.Or is it our computer from which we have to give access to.Can it also be done via Active Directory users and computers. Also for the zoom installation,is the installation on our computer or the user computer.
User can't add himself to admin groups. You need to be an admin to add yourself to admin groups. He would get access denied if he tries to do it. You would give someone admin rights by their computer not yours.
@@KevtechITSupport got it👍
@@KevtechITSupportis zoom installation on user computer or admin computer
Everyone using zoom. Anyone can install zoom on their computer. Zoom doesn't need admin rights to install. You need admin rights to install zoom add in.
Hi Kevin i was in Service Desk Analyst Job, but now i have got IT Assistant job i will be working in Office after a week where as service desk analyst i was working from Home. So my question is IT Assistant is better than Help Desk job?
Job titles don't mean anything in tech. I go based on the job description. You can be called helpdesk and not touch anything on active directory.
but local users and groups manages local accounts only, in an environment you're describing it would be active directory environment tho
some companies have local accounts enable so you would add the person to local admin group. it really depends on the company, some use active directory. In your case, your being specific to active directory, some places use local accounts. I guess I can be more specific in the video but for this one, it's local admin.
@@KevtechITSupporti see, i didn't know that, though every business avoids using local accounts because they are harder to manage.
@@xFlow777 some companies use the same name for the local account by default and login with that account in case it falls off the domain. Yep, it depends on the company. One of my jobs, they would make a local account for every laptop manually.
you're the man!
Thank you
hello, In ticket 1, do you have to remove access for Tom Wells after a certain period of time?
depends how long that person wants access to that calendar.
how do you take control of their pc to do these things like, installing zoom on their computer
Remote in using a 3rd party tool
Is it possible to get a IT Support Job, with a AS software develop degree? Or with a CIS certificate ? Thanks
I'm not familiar with either of those things. It's not related to IT support but it might help your resume.
What's up Bro? I noticed you had a video about the Department of Education. I live in DC and I'm trying to get an IT job. Do you have any suggestions?
I live in NY not the DC area. Most places will ask for a cert. Fix the resume and work on your LinkedIn profile.
@@KevtechITSupport Thanks Bro! I'm from NY. Been all over the. Moved to DC from California 6 years ago. Trying to transition into a job that's remote and I get a 10-99....You are an awesome instructor. I'm doing your course right now. Thanks for hitting me back.

For installing apps on a local pc.. just like the last one. Don’t you need to log in as the “user’s credentials ” on the server then download it on their pc? Or just download the app and just let the user have permission using it.
Ps. Just a young aspiring individual trying to learn and expand more knowledge. I love your vids btw.❤️
Depends on the application.
@@KevtechITSupport if we use user's credentials.. how can we download as user don't have permission? (i am noob)
@rakesh sareen run as, run as allows you install a product with your credentials not the customer.
@@KevtechITSupport oh ok. Got it. thank you😌have a good day!
Hey man. I am currently in a college and started Network Administrator Associates Degree program. The program takes about 2 years. At the end of the program i get A+ and Network+ certifications. After completing the Associates degree program, will it qualify me for Help Desk and Customer Support specialist jobs?
Yep, should be good. Make sure you learn the back end stuff like active directory.
@@KevtechITSupport Thank you for the advice i really appreciate it.
Yo i love this. Hope there is more. sub n liked
thanks!
Please i just have one question. Do you solve all this problems via remote desktop or you actually go to their computer and do it.
My previous job requires me to go to user's computer and fix it before writing how i fixed it.
I'm lost do help me
Depends on the company. Some companies is onsite and some companies do it remotely.
Usually how do you access their computer? With anydesk or?
Did you signed up for the app and try to use it and see how it works?
@@KevtechITSupport No, im just wondering how help desk workers access clients computers usually. Like with a software for example anydesk or how?
@@imightbeaddicted625 depends on the company. They use remote apps like teamviewer, logmein, bomgar, sccm, or something else.
thankyou so much @kevtech IT support
Hi Kevin. How long back can you retrieve a deleted file?
That depends on company and backup policy.
@@KevtechITSupport Thanks Kevin
Im kinda upset that employers want experience in helpdesk or certifications since this seems something they can train you on in a couple weeks
That happens a lot
