The tail is definitely for aero. Looks fine to me in person. The Lucid PT 2 will be awhile, since I have too much new stuff to pump out. But it's coming.
Many people focus on range but don’t like what it takes to get that 300+ miles of range. I prefer the utility of our Ioniq 5 which has plenty of range for our needs. The Ioniq 6 looks well suited for the frequent road tripper.

Great review Tom. Hyundai is making some great EV’s. The 5 won awards worldwide. The 6 is a beautiful design and very fast changing. However challenges for them will be no rebates and lack of supply. You cannot get a 5 today up to 2yr waiting time and if you find one the dealer markups and fees are a turn off. With such good cars why is there so low production?
My understanding is they are not profitable yet, so they limit production to limit losses. Seems like all of the legacy automakers are facing the same issue 😞
Having just attended the NY Intl Auto Show, I can attest that VW ID.4 and Mustang Mach-E have higher quality-feeling interiors. Nissan Ariya is outstanding. It's interesting to watch the auto industry try sell $50-$60,000+ vehicles to the public as mainstream. I understand that you'll save $1,000 a year in fuel and a few hundred dollars in maintenance, and there's an intrinsic value to saving the environment (even though I once read an unbiased report that said that total lifetime emissions of the "average" electric vehicles are only about 30-40% better than that of the lifetime emissions of an "average" ICE vehicle). However, ultimately, there's no getting around the fact that you can buy two mainstream ICE vehicles for about the cost of one electric vehicle.
