- An overnight outing to Beinn Eighe in Torridon. The walk takes in the two munros Ruadh Stac Mor and Spidean Coire nan Clach with a wild camp on the ridge. The wind was gusting over 60 mph and made for very testing conditions. The views were superb and the Aurora made show in the early hours of the morning. footage is captured using a drone and a gopro 4k. Hi Kenny. Absolutely wonderful mate, what a day and night’s adventure you had there. Literally had everything. Sunsets, sunrises, stunning views. Shame about the wind.
I’m just over halfway through the Cumbria Way. A couple more days to go.

thanks Nick, yeah I got lucky there. I was hoping to shoot the time lapse from the summit to include the landscape but with that wind I'm not sure the camera would have survived a pitch. It was nice to capture a wee bit of a show from the sheltered and safer side. Thanks for feedback. ATB Kenny

thank you for feedback Andrew, spot on about the wind..not sure the tent would have survived, met someone at the car park who had camped near Sail Mor and could not get the tent up so bivvied in a pile of stones for shelter..had enough of the wind to date, hopefully it will calm down now. ATB Kenny

Hi Kenny that wind must have been scary if the weight of your pack was only thing holding tent down 🙈 I had a brand new beanie blown clean off my head never to be seen again in strong winds on Beinn a Ghlo and i found that quite scary never mind camping out in those winds! I take my hat off to you sir .. ( pardon the pun 😂)

@@theresabuchan6844 lol...thanks Theresa, I was lucky with the choice of camp as it was in a wee hollow..wind forecast was for gusts to 35 mph .not 60mph. Met a man who went to camp above the cliffs..could not get the tent up..ended up bivvying in the rocks!!. I'll be on the lookout for your beanie on future outings ...hope you were not put off and still enjoying the hills. Thanks for reply. ATB Kenny
@@scottishkennyg Oh really? Must have been a cold night bivvying in the rocks! 2 hardcore mountain men on the same hill 😊 Haha! I often wonder where my beanie ended up 🤔 it was first time i'd worn it as well lol. No not put off Kenny just only buy hats i can tie now 😂
