The reason putting the pitot tube static port inside the fuselage isn't correct is that the static pressure inside the fuselage is different than the outside when the airplane is flying. You will get a speed reading with it inside, but it will not be accurate. The reference measurements of dynamic and static pressures has to be from a common refernce point to get the actual airspeed.
I don't think they care if it's accurate. Only that's it's contestant. So if you land at 40 mph you know not to go below 40. It doesn't matter if your actually doing 46. You still get the info you need.
This massive deformation at half throttle shows you that the engine needs a lot more amount of air. I think it's the wrong way to stiffen the canopy. In my opinion you have two options: reduce the size of the turbine or put a lot of cheater holes in the fuse. Remember the Diamond, which had the same issues in the first batch. Now I'm very curious what happens on the maiden flight.
Dang that's a Sexy looking peice of kit. 😂what a scheme ❤.she sure got some push. 😅😮 Is it me or does it sound a bit quieter.😮 I like it.😂 Keep at it. Right next one.😂❤😅
Yea she's a nice plane! It's going to sound a bit quieter as they turbine is quite burried in the plane and has lots of "Stuff' Around it. Dampens the sound.
Sheldon in you google either "segmented lead weights" or "self adhesive lead weights" you'll find them👍 ( From memory one or more of Dubro, Hanger 9 or Great Planes sell them)
Hey Sheldon. I get them from a local automotive bulk supplier. It seems like he brings random tools and supplies in from China and sells them sort of privately. On Kijiji/craiglist? Type thing.
We cover lots of real time builds on our other channel The Lighter Side Of RC AFTER DARK: www.youtube.com/@TheLighterSideOfRCAfterDark/featured
Nice details on showing the added strengthening that was done. Looks great!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
What a great paint scheme
Agreed! EA Knocked it out with this one!
Great build Jonathan!!
Thanks Fred!

This is 100% Correct! It's basically valuable on landing. So if the plane stalls at 38mph keep it above 45mph and your good.
Excellent idea on the brace for the canopy .. Thanks a lot .. can’t wait to fly this jet 🚀🚀🙏🏻
Where is it legal to fly it at 300 mph?
@deanbird500 no speed limits in Canada.
😎🙌
@thelightersideofrc Ah. Hadn't heard David is moving to Canada. 👍
🤦🏻
Thanks again for sharing your experience. Where do you buy the clear viton tube and what ID did you use?
Thanks! Typically from Dreamworks in Florida. Not sure of the diameter

My Kinetix had a massive issue with this on the ground. in flight zero issue. Fuse gets pressurized in flight when there is not a full bypass.
Great job as always. I like the remote on/off switch but I think it's only possible on Jeti radio, is that correct?
Not overly familiar with other radio's but i'm pretty sure it's a Jeti Specific thing.
(Just realised i have missed this by 2 days)
anyway,good job!
Thank you for watching!
Is that power wire maxi wire?
Yes correct
How much is one of these
Your probably about 12K ish

Great vid! Where do you source those weight strips? I like the different sizes right on the strip.

Hi Smokey. Yeah I have those but I was asking about the ones that have bigger and smaller weights on each strip like he was using….. thanks

@@sheldoncampbell538 that's the type that will come up if you google those terms.
