Dang, I love watching these videos!! So informative and so educational!! You've definitely inspired me to get back into building RC aircraft...and trust me, I will be using a lot of your techniques. Hope to meet you someday and Thanks again for the lessons!! 😁🙌
Your experience maybe different than mine, but I ended up adding about 2 lbs of lead in the horizontal stab to get it to balance without having to jam the main batteries back under the wing center section.
Jonathan… when you get a chance, would you layout a 3 tank layout…explain in detail all the elements to the pump and anything after that to the engine. Would really appreciate seeing the plumbing and understanding what to do and not to do..
Hi Jonathan. You asked about the Landing Gear to change. The guy from Unilight changed to a Elektron ER 50 gear. But you are gonna need a kind of adaptor to fit the original Legs.
Nice work a lot to be going on with. Yeah right motor Gauge wire is the key so minimal resistance over the distance ie voltage drop. As long as ESC have air passing over them all good. Amazing how big that Puppy is it,s BIG. carry on.
They would fit! I think it would be the most challenging option for this aircraft. I belive you would want to get the tanks and pumps fit inside the nacells as well for simplicity.
@thelightersideofrc The only reason I can think of for going down the turbine route is the noise, but electric has so many more advantages. Gas engines on the other hand would be awful, the mess, maintenance and the sound of 2 brush cutters flying in formation would just be wrong😀

Those are some great ideas on the motors and escs 😊
Thanks David!
Quite a nice piece of engineering! Would be even better it it had the scale 'tucking' action of the main gear.
YES!!!
@@thelightersideofrc Would love to see a video of the mains retracts in action! It is unique to the Bronco.
Great job Jonathan!
Thank you very much!

😁 That's what it's all about, thanks for watching!
Coming along nicely. Definitely different than the norm with no turbines.
HAHA. For sure doing much more head scratching during this one!

Were you balanced with the supplied Jig?
I used a commercial balancer. Balanced at recommended point, and it flies very well

Great suggestion for a short Tech Video.
@@thelightersideofrc absolutely…would be very helpful even for piston applications too. We pump radials…and they suck fuel … lots of fuel.

Thanks Nick! What a Gigantic Aircraft! Couple gremlins to deal with but going great!
i cant wait for it to fly!!!!!!and ....8th.
😎
If the CG and structure allowed I would be tempted to place the ESC and batteries in the engine pods. Probably not enough room?
I think you could fit them in there. The down side is taking off the engine pods every flight would be a nighmare! That would be ideal though!
@@thelightersideofrc yeah it wold need a hatch to change the batteries. Friend did that on a P-38 when he converted it to electric.
Hi Jon, just being a bit curious but would a pair of X45s fit into the nascelles, and would they provide an appropriate level of thrust?

You, or you customer needs to lose the axle with e-clip retainer. It's not up to the task and can pop off with any side load.
Great Suggestion!
