nice one Mato.. This game illustrates the need to be patient over the chessboard. Could you post a lot more of Alexei Shirov's games? . After all, he was Tal's pupil .
thx Mato find for us more rasheed nazhmetdinov games it is Christmas and we need fire work on the chess board ( happy Christmas and happy new year for all mato subscriber )
Black didn't make big mistakes ( until rook b8 ) , a brilliant demonstration by Bobby Fischer . Instead of rook to a1 , rook to f3 seemed very interesting too ...
+THE HONGKONGER but if the defending knight was chased away by.. b4, would that not work? I don't see how white could defend the pawn after that or gain positional compensation
Oh ok. Look up that variation. It is solid. Gligoric played that variation against Fisher, and had a draw by repeating the position. There is a book on it.
Mato, with all these "jokes" in your videos, I feel like you would make a great uncle. Not only are you caring and you have an obsession (chess) like all good uncles, but you tell jokes that make me laugh and cringe.
Love your Commentary-Style!
Hvala i sretnu Novu Godinu!

"Hold your horses" hahaha! That's gotta be the funniest joke I've heard you ever say! Good one.

Beginner's question: why doesn't black capture the pawn on e4 on move 9?
Because knight on c3 will capture the black knight. So black will only have 1 pawn for losing a knight, not a good exchange.
+THE HONGKONGER but if the defending knight was chased away by.. b4, would that not work? I don't see how white could defend the pawn after that or gain positional compensation
+parker Harris Re1 and the e6 file is in trouble (three pieces atacking)
+THE HONGKONGER If knight takes pawn, then knight takes knight, then bishop takes knight, how is that not good for black? I don't get it.
+John Fitch Oh yes didn't see bishop there. I guess black wanted to develop first rather than gain material. But I may be wrong.
Mar del Plata? I had no idea top chess was played in my country.. Nice!
Oh yeah! Have you ever heard of the Mar Del Plata Variation of the King's Indian Defense?
Just hearing about it now! I'm only a beginner :D
Oh ok. Look up that variation. It is solid. Gligoric played that variation against Fisher, and had a draw by repeating the position. There is a book on it.
si y si te fijas fischer presento en la plata su variante de juego "fischer random". cuando me entere no lo podia creer
+alanigustiguirre fischer random ? qué es eso mi broder ?
nice game
After white's f4, why didn't black capture e4 ?
tubewatcher38 I wondered the same, perhaps Qf3? Not sure though. Looks risky.
why so many fischer games lately?
***** Ok thx for the answer .
Fischer is ruthless!!
Taking notes in 2019
"Vite is vininc." - Mato.
Why was b4 never played by black? Wouldn't that have earned him the pawn on e4 by chasing away the white knight defender?
so the game was lost because of blunder?
if somebody wins... his opponent made a blunder.. or some blunders ...
or just some inaccuracies which will slowly build up to a loss

White knight was screaming at Fischer. xD
beautiful positional chess. Simple and forceful, as if it might have been played by Capablanca

knockout by Fischer
