Dude! This was my first time watching…. Great content and overall, extremely well put together show. I produce commercials and documentaries and I really enjoyed this episode. I can’t wait to see more of your channel. THIS is what UA-cam was build for! Showing us all what a small, but amazing world we live in. Thanks for sharing!
It was definitely a surprise! This neighborhood is not known for having brown bears. Unfortunately this is very close to my house. I probably wont go back to that part of the property again without better protection.
Oh my goodness...look at them bears!! Awesome!! Better be putting a warning sign out for your trespassing neighbour friend! lol But maybe momma bear has already taken care of the matter. lol Great to see that the moose and bear are living peacefully together. Each out for their cameo performances. Awesome!!
Hello Alaska Brian, I enjoyed watching the trail cam footage of your backyard. I especially loved seeing the bears. It was amusing to see the neighbourhood pets and cats and moose as well and then the bears. Just Brilliant.
crazy the amount of dogs and cats you get on camera. If i put my trail cams in my back yard i get like 8 cats ive never seen before. Love that you get brown bear. Im still hoping to one day get a black bear on trail cam in southern illinois. I also love your backyard mountain view! keep up the good work.
Thanks! I appreciate it. Definitely true, I did not expect to see so many neighborhood animals. I just posted my "July edition" if you are interested in checking it out. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
I saw a short ( I wish I remembered the name ) that was trail cam footage. It was a night video. The Grizzly was the size of two huge Grizzlies stuffed into one fur coat. It was so big it had trouble getting through the trees. This was on a trail that people use!😮
Your property is their home range also ! Forest creatures ! Moose & baby ! Someone’s dog & cat enjoying the forest ! Momma bear & 2 cubs ! Wouldn’t want too meet her ! Be safe ! GV ! 🌳🐻🌳🐈🌳🐕🌳🐃🍼🌳 📹🌳
Super cute! Momma was looking pretty thin so I've been worried about them. I havent seen them lately but I'm hoping they'll turn up again on the trail came when I pull it at the end of July. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Very interesting to see the wildlife. Watch out in the vegetation though for any giant hogweed. We have it in the U.K. but I am not sure if you do in Alaska?
Thanks for watching! We have pushki here, also known as cow's parsnip. That's what you see me chopping in the video. I guess they are related but slightly different plant. I believe both have similar phototoxic chemicals
It would make sense except we dont really have mountain lions in Alaska. I guess they have been spotted once or twice but it's extremely rare. My guess was a bear encounter she managed to escape from.
@@AlaskaBrian yep! 12 gauge with slugs, .44 mag with swift A frame bullets, and a 10mm with bonded bullets is my standard “strolling in bear country” loadout! 🤣
Maybe the Coastal Brown Bears aren't as grizzled and angry as the inland Grizzly Bears. Hopefully having a better and more accessible diet makes them a little less angry as ours. We just had a mother and her two cubs go on a rampage in South West Alberta and kill 22 sheep on May 30th, then 2 people were attacked on June 11th in Waterton National Park on Ruby Ridge At the end of last year, in October of 2023, a couple were killed in Banff National Park, also in Alberta. It seems these inland Grizzlies are getting pretty grumpy, especially here in Alberta
Yikes! Yeah bear attacks are very rare here. Coastal browns are typically bigger than grizzlies, because they had such an abundant food supply, and also less aggressive. Still, would NOT want to get near a mother with her cubs. I definitely realized I need to be a lot more careful back there
@@AlaskaBrian you don’t want one, they seem a different species in Alaska. Do you have watch “ Subarctic Sasquatch” with Fred Rhoel? He’s the man to listen to for Alaskan Hairy man encounters.
@@Rosesraspberries72 I'll have to check it out. If you haven't heard of it before, check out the story of the town of Portlock, Alaska. According to many, it was abandoned because of a "war" between the humans and a clan of sasquatch-like creatures.
Some really cool pics, especially the Grizzly bear and her cubs. As for the Hairy Man or as I call them Forest Giants, I would much rather be close to the Hairy Man than any Moma Grizz. If the Hairy Man doesn't want you around he will just throw some stones or rocks at you or scare the hell out of you by paralleling you back out of his territory. Unlike the Moma Grizz which may just kill you or injure you bad.
@@Rosesraspberries72 Maybe I will give Mr. Fred Rhoel a listen. It is amazing that they can endure the long and cold Alaskan and far north Canadian Winters, and yet others ones seem happy in tropical Florida. There is a big population of them here in Ohio and maybe even more in Kentucky, winters are much more mild and abundant forest and rivers.
If you keep walking around in the woods where moose and grizzlies roam, especially females with cubs, with just a small machete you are braver than I am.
In this shot, you can see that I've just been trampled by the mother moose while she was fleeing the mother brown bear! Unfortunately this was my last shot,,,
Me too but I guess they have to take care of themselves. I'm actually not even sure which neighbor they belong to... Thanks for watching and for the comment!
The family of Brown Bears was super cool!
Yes! Even though it's a bit intimidating, I'm glad they're there. Thanks for checking the video out and for the comment!
@@jonathanwoods1148 I worked in a fishery in Chignik, AK from 1990-1993. Saw several bears, usually at night.

Enjoyed your video and commentary. Look forward to the follow up.
Thanks! It means a lot. I will definitely be doing another reveal video in a few weeks when I check it again!
I'm glad those bears are on your game cam and not mine. I think I'd be carrying more than a machete in that area...

Yeah it's a little rustic at that end of the property and I suppose not entirely clear it's private property but still...
Oh boy it’s good to know who is out there. Be safe God bless and keep an eye on your little girl💕
Yes, I had no idea they were there, and it's good to be bear aware. Thank you very much for the kind words and for the comment!
Hi cuz, great clips and narration. Sorry we missed in early May. I was in Anchorage teaching fiber optics to GCI's instructors.
No worries! Thank you. And maybe next time!
The veg has been especially thick this year. Backyard trail cams are fun.
Mama grizz and her 2 babies! Have you ever seen them during daylight around your property? Cool but a bit scary.
No! I've seen a lot of black bear but had never even heard of brown bear in this neighborhood. Good to know their there.
man you've got a highly trafficked back yard! cool seeing those bears
More traffic than I thought for sure! Hope you are well
Thank you for sharing great pics! I'd like to see the next one.
I am planning to pull it down next weekend!
Lovely video😊

It was a lot more fun than expected. I'm excited to see what we capture this month!

Pretty cool!

It's always fun to check out the trail cam ❤
Indeed. Looking forward to the next round

Fantastic captures of the moose cows with their calves and those huge brown bears. Enjoyed watching! 👍

Tell your neighbor lady that brown bears there.
Indeed I should

Might want to warn the neighbor who cuts thru your backyard about the mama bear & cubs.
That was so cool!

The scares on the moose are from a possible mountain lion leaping on her back I have seen it in wild horses

It's part of life in Alaska. We are heads up but dont live in fear about it
Those bears look like grizzlies to me!
Coastal brown bears. Same species, different diet and behavior
I don't see any ice or snow from the land of the midnight sun where the hot springs flow. Disappointing.Cool moose though.
