Here in Nova Scotia I have encountered moose, deer, coyote, bear, and even a bobcat over the years of outdoor fishing and detecting. Learned that if you stay quiet, still and non threatening, they usually go their own way. Oh and dont fool yourself, they know you are there!
Very cool you found a buckle!!!!! A tangible piece of history!!!! I love history and artefacts and antiques I always love going to like Pioneer Village is and stuff and learn how people lived before us… It never ceases to amaze me how people came to North America and lived as pioneers and how they achieved what they achieved it just never ceases to amaze me. I am a Canadian and for a while I lived in Winnipeg Manitoba but I had the chance to take my son out to Pioneer Village just outside of town. So about 200 years ago pioneers came to our country and in Manitoba until they could get a log cabin built these… Smart families would dig a gigantic shelter into the ground and they would build themselves a home underground and I can’t think of the name of these homes but it was absolutely amazing how these people survive during the cold cold winters and what would happen is by building the home of course in the dirt it would turn into permafrost so you have your walls would be perfectly solid and then in the summertime they would use like types of clay and what not to keep the walls durable. I really enjoy your walks in the nature and I really enjoy your… Your channel. Keep doing what you’re doing we need lots of these kind of positive channels so thank you sir
Charlie you have a good channel. Why because you show every step from search find dig an showing find. Most channels don't an I don't watch. Keep going Charlie. GOD bless.
@@theoriginaldashriprock I know for a Fact that Bigfoots are real, I seen them as has my family seen them many times growing up on the farm in Southern Ohio, Tooth fairy is not real just like Santa. Let's not be try to belittle people due to lack of belief in things you have no knowledge of. Have A Great Day...👌
The hell with Sasqatch crossing paths, I'm a lot more worried about a mountain lion mistaken the beeper for an injured critter and getting all over me! 🐰🌲🌲🤨💚🤸♂️🤸♂️
Ugh, 3 years in a row I've gone to the places where the moose are most common and nothing 😑 You're out hunting in the New Hampshire woods and one casually strolls nearby you 😮
Very cool that you got to see that moose. We've had quite a few experiences with them in the woods over the years. Beautiful animals. Usually very docile. Very curious too. Unless it's September and they are in the Rut season they are nothing to be afraid of but you certainly don't want to be surprising one.
😳😐And I suppose that grave ⚰was only 6-8 inches deep💀 considering that he was only digging that deep🤔🤨!!??.😑🙄.,one really small person in a really shallow grave..?!😋😆🤣🤗..seriously!!
Ah, a moose! I've never seen one in the flesh as lol, there are none inhabiting the farm fields of Iowa. All we have are run of the mill raccoons, possums, red fox, skunks, and new to my acreage, ugh ground hogs. Time to get a dog. There have been many sightings of mountain lions though. Apparently, they're moving east from western South Dakota. Great to see the buttons, buckles and oxen shoe, Charlie! I used to watch a dozen or more detecting channels but am down to only 3 or 4 with Not Thursday being the most enjoyable.
Thx fir the videos.what were the people doing back there. You said they were farming? No ox shoes not many farming implements. Were they Myans! Most unforgiving farming land.
Moose are definitely to be respected especially when a cow has a calf or it is mating season and you run into a Bull...but when was the last time you heard of a Moose attack compared to a human attack? I'd rather come across a Moose...just saying...nice encounter
I was hunting mushrooms on the north side of a hill in a zig zag pattern, heard an odd noise below me, want back & looked..5 foot rattlesnake, trying to get out of my way, got confused by my zig zag .. of course I let him go about his day!
Lots of moose in the intermountain West. See then along the snake, mountains in Idaho, Utah, Colorado. My sister hit one with her car. Car totaled moose lost it's antlers. She got cuts on her hands. She was able to duck down too the passenger side.
For me, the buttons are a piece of history for each time and place. I love finding them. The older the better. My metal detecting friends don't care about value, just saving history from disappearing forever into the ground.
Is it common to find buttons with the loop for thread on the back. Oh yes there are signs to look for in a moose and elk. Hair standing up on its back, snorting. Useally the male during the rut might get aggressive and mama with the babies might also get agressive. Just run man they useally want chase that far just getting you out and away from them. Im not smart just looked it up on internet
Hey all joking aside, I have been watching your video here for a min. To see what you saw!!! And that was very cool!!! Okay what I see where you were there show signs of Bigfoot all over the place in there because of the trees!!! Take what you want from it !!! Don't know how you feel about it or if you belive, but you really are doing the right thing by watching your seroundings!! But this is good!!! Um the other thing is I hope you don't go into the woods without protection and if you do that's great because they no that you do or don't !!! And you need to be carring at less a 357mag,or a 44mag, or a 10mm, 45 auto!!! Or of course a shotgun and that you want a good slugg and buck shot and make it a 3" at less and load that way first one a slugg then buckshot slugg then buckshot!!! You sir if I I can save one person from being killed or become missing, like so many others that go into the woods unprotected!!! I feel good !!! Anyways that goes for everyone watching these videos if you don't belive in the 2nd amendment, don't go in the woods !!! Everyone should have self protection it's our God given right!!!! Just say'n!!!!😊❤

Thank you Charlie for the adventure , seeing some nice finds and especially seeing the moose !

Wow that looked like a young moose. But still a beautiful creature.Great adventure thanks for posting/
Awesome video, Charlie!
So glad you were able to safely video the moose! So very exciting to see such a beautiful animal!
Charlie you have a good channel. Why because you show every step from search find dig an showing find. Most channels don't an I don't watch. Keep going Charlie. GOD bless.
Thanks for capturing the moose! As always, very nice video.
That moose was cool… looked to be a female (cow). Thanks for sharing the video.
Have a great weekend.
What a treat, seeing a moose in the wild, thanks Charlie.
That looks so fun. I could do stuff like that all day.
Nice adventure. Cool Moose footage. Glad he didn't sniff you out. Worth the digs!❤
I'd call that a near miss event. Glad it went about it's business.
... funny , I once found a buckle also - problem was the skeletal remains it was attached to - way off the beaten path ...
Jimmy Hoffa no doubt.
Did you call the police? What did you do? Sounds like a good story.
He heard you, he smelled you, he saw you, he just didn't give shyt
I had a coyote once come up on a trail ahead of me and i was like how did he not smell or see me..now I understand why..lol
Correct. They know where we are.
What a slow moving Moose. What a great sight to be seen. So glad to witness it. We seen Deer A Bear And now A Moose Great video Charlie 😊
And silent! Glad Charlie 's encounter wasn't up-close.
They move a lot quicker than you think! That was just a young one. They get 7' tall in Northern Ontario and you don't want to meet one in the woods.
Of course I was hoping for Bigfoot. Haha
Nah, he was having his big foot suit dry cleaned. 😂
Bullwinkle on a trek, buttons, buckles and a pleasant way to end the week on a Not Thursday
Rocky was digging them up.
Amazing. Great job.
💥💥💥💥Be honest, you Moosed have been a little nervous when Bullwinkle showed up?
Nice work! I enjoy your vids very much. Keep em coming. It exciting to know I'm in the state next door
The Moose was looking for coins and buttons!
And heard the metal detector... rushed over to see what it was.
...
New subscriber ty brother best wishes from Florida beautiful country up there God bless
Nice digging partner lol awesome video thank you so very much for sharing hope you have a wonderful weekend 👍👍❤️
Man, that piece of shoe buckle frame was crazy fancy!!!
I love nature, that moose 🫎 is beautiful
Very cool stuff Charlie 👍🏻
Supposedly there were moose in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They were transplanted there. I hear about them occasionally.
Wow too cool a moose!
Your photography skills are incredible!
Better to see a Moose than Bigfoot or a Bear, Happy Hunting and stay safe.
Bigfoot? LMAO I guess you also believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy? 🤣

I would rather see a bear tbh. A full grown bull moose is more likely to charge you than a bear. Luckily this one was just a small female.
Bigfoot 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I got some ocean front property in Arizona I'll sell you. Hundred bucks an acre 😂😂😂
Was hoping for Bigfoot too😳Todd Standing's work is great though if someone's being a doubtful...😆😆😆😆👍🏽
The hell with Sasqatch crossing paths, I'm a lot more worried about a mountain lion mistaken the beeper for an injured critter and getting all over me! 🐰🌲🌲🤨💚🤸♂️🤸♂️
AMEN ....Back Turned....Whoya
I spent all that time and didn't even have to wash up when you were done.
Ugh, 3 years in a row I've gone to the places where the moose are most common and nothing 😑
You're out hunting in the New Hampshire woods and one casually strolls nearby you 😮
Came across some wild goats on a part time army weekend hike, they sure stank,
Very cool that you got to see that moose. We've had quite a few experiences with them in the woods over the years. Beautiful animals. Usually very docile. Very curious too. Unless it's September and they are in the Rut season they are nothing to be afraid of but you certainly don't want to be surprising one.
He recorded and passed by two different trees that were snapped and broken up high and didn't even notice. Could be something.
Good morning 🌞 Happy Summer 2024😊
I'd get a bit 'creeped out' if I found numerous buttons + a buckle so close together. 1st thought: GRAVE
naw, a lot garment
😳😐And I suppose that grave ⚰was only 6-8 inches deep💀 considering that he was only digging that deep🤔🤨!!??.😑🙄.,one really small person in a really shallow grave..?!😋😆🤣🤗..seriously!!
What detector would you recommend to get started ? Thanks for your hard work for us .

Which way to the Whassamata U reunion?😊
Thx fir the videos.what were the people doing back there. You said they were farming? No ox shoes not many farming implements. Were they
Myans! Most unforgiving farming land.
Oh ok you found one!!🎉 ox shoe.
We've got loads of stone walls like that acros the UK, only bigger. Come and see hundreds of miles of walls giving protection for animals and land.
Moose are definitely to be respected especially when a cow has a calf or it is mating season and you run into a Bull...but when was the last time you heard of a Moose attack compared to a human attack? I'd rather come across a Moose...just saying...nice encounter
I might get a metal detector and start my own UA-cam videos. I will call it echoes from the past.
Found belt buckle shoe buckle buttons burial site 😮
Great channel. Why because u show search find dig an recovery. GOD bless.
Don’t get the thrill of finding small bits of metal in the woods. The highlight was the moose, I guess. 😊
Make sure you detect that entire wall up and down both sides . Sometimes they would lose or stash things there .
Hoping you boys are packing some heat when you’re out there 😳😳
Hi Charlie, are moose common in your area of southern N.H. ? I have seen them farther north and also in Maine.
Gee, what do you use to keep the bugs away. As soon as I dig a hole I get attacked.
I would liked to have seen the front of the buttons.
People used horses ropes and pullies a lot in the old days to move heavy objects. Not too unusual...
I was hunting mushrooms on the north side of a hill in a zig zag pattern, heard an odd noise below me, want back & looked..5 foot rattlesnake, trying to get out of my way, got confused by my zig zag .. of course I let him go about his day!
It was the dreaded dangling participle!!
Very cool
Mesquito Season gets this mode on the move
👍👍👍😁
A lot of Bigfoot signs... slanted logs angled along the way
I visit Northern Ontario quite often. I can say, I am more weary of a moose than I am a black bear. A territorial moose can f u up!
Lots of moose in the intermountain West. See then along the snake, mountains in Idaho, Utah, Colorado.
My sister hit one with her car. Car totaled moose lost it's antlers. She got cuts on her hands. She was able to duck down too the passenger side.
That moose must be deaf I live in moose country and only see them once in awhile.
Very cool!!! And Thank you for not doing a fake Bigfoot drive by! Lol Stay safe!!
Where did you get that shove
Well at least it wasn’t a bear again
If you are finding shoe buckles belt buckles and buttons… bet a little deeper is the owner of those.
Why are buttons so important, or valuable?
For me, the buttons are a piece of history for each time and place. I love finding them. The older the better. My metal detecting friends don't care about value, just saving history from disappearing forever into the ground.
Hey Rocky, wanna see me pull a rabbit outta my hat😮
5:49. I must now go, the dishes need to get washed. TY.
Charlie first a bear and now a moose. What’s next a Sasquatch. Don’t get eaten
What do you do with the things you find?
What becomes of all your scape items, that are less desirable?
That makes you Rockie since Bullwinkle just walked by :)
I'll keep it simple for the slow ones, the moose was cool.
Aw shame hehehe I see loads of Sasquatch sign, so I hoped/ thought it would be a squatch walking by 😅😅😅
🫎🫎🫎 nice finds DC
Who's filming all this?
What part of the country is this?
🫎 enjoyed 👍
I was hoping for a Bigfoot.
Me too 😅
You'll be hoping a long time. Considering they don't exist.
Moose!!!
Yeah a moose in the hoose...
Is it common to find buttons with the loop for thread on the back. Oh yes there are signs to look for in a moose and elk. Hair standing up on its back, snorting. Forest ninja 🥷
Could have been the family cemetery and wild animals ate everything except everything metal.
Why is he fearful of the moose? Aside from the comment about mating season, what's the reality of a moose being a danger to a person?
Boulders not just rocks
Me waiting on a bigfoot😂
There's a moose about this hoose!
Where ever theirs moose theirs grizzlies or brown bear, wolves, mountain lions etc.
In France forest migraints scary
Day one of asking for a free Arkfeld pro 🙏🏽🔦
Nothing worse than being charged by a moose. My cousin was almost killed when he hit a moose with his car where he lives in Newfoundland.
Who are you with? You say ‘we’. 🤷♂️
Beautiful but deadly.

B.S. just sayin.
Maybe, he did not care whether you were there or not. The size of him? Did he care? Not like you were a griz.
❤❤❤❤❤😮
So not bigfoot, then...? Dammit.....
Where was your firearm?
